The Heisenberg Lawnmeister advertises itself as a robotic mower that can mow, trim, blow, and fertilize your yard, all without supervision or direction. We're partnering with Heisenberg Robotics, to tell you about this unit, which they claim to be a core piece of technology that could change autonomous lawn care products for good.

Yay, it has a robo weedeater! Now, I need an robo edger. Then I can fire my gardener.

wow, this looks like an even better version than the novabot I purchased. I waited 2 years on it. But the edging with this seems so cool! Now I have to edge, and weedeat still, and blow it off. I wonder if it has better software than novabot. One thing I don't like about novabot is that it seems to start at some far corner. Also, you can't just pick a certain area, it's all or nothing which is difficult while I'm setting it up. And remapping has to be done entirely, not just fixing a certain area. Also, consider you will have a GPS base setup, which needs to have power(for the charger) but also be an ideal place for GPS. I put mine in between me and the next house, which is not a great spot for GPS, but the only place I have power. Great price on this though, novabot is like 1800 or more.

They should add weeding capability. I have to spray for creeping charlie every spring and fall. If it could identify and directly spray the creeping charlie (and other weeds), or better yet, drill them out to the root. Pluck them out mechanically, so no chemicals are needed.

and a built in time machine, so we could go back in time and remove any dandelions before they go to seed.

I don't care about gimmicks, like it being able to blow leaves badly. The questions we all want to know are: * Is it 4WD or at least AWD? If not, that means it's going to skid on even the most moderate of slopes and even flat ground. Speaking of which... * How big of a slope can it handle? Too many of these mowers only do well on super flat ground. * Does the GPS system get fouled up if you have trees on your property? If it's cloudy outside? The EcoFlow Blade has already received a bad rep for losing its connection for all types of reasons * What's the max cutting height? It's stunning how many of these automowers come out and they can only cut up to 2.5". I grow turf type tall fescue, which likes to be at 4". I won't buy a mower that can't do at least 3.5", which is as low as I'll cut my grass. I don't need the gimmicks. Just handle the actual cutting well. I want to change the blades once a month and clean the bottom off at the same time and it goes out there without fail and cuts, cuts, cuts.

In Europe you can find several well known brands with already excisting products sold to the market like this new kickstarter-bot.

5:04 left a strip of grass in between mowing lanes. I like that it’s not randomly bouncing off walls but that’s not good. It can do many things but is it good at any of them?

Would have been nice to see an aerial view before and after it was cut. The blower seems weak, the wind can move the leaves back on to the yard. The fertilizer function does not convince me, neither does the trimmer function. More examples of how good the camera detects obstacles, like dog poop and small toys would be nice. They should’ve focused on it being a really good lawnmower than it trying to be different and just ok at everything. Saw the kickstarter and the blades also look like razor blade and noticed that their focus is that it has a good AI and doesn’t need wires to set boundaries, that’s about it. It’s a Roomba with blades instead of brushes 😂.

razor blade knives are used on the top, modern robotics like Husqvarna. They are safe and quiet. Old-fashioned robots like Robomow use noisy fixed knives on the rotor.

Yeah, the attachments are an absolute gimmick. There's simply no way a robot lawnmower will be able to handle the amount of leaves I get, nor know where I want them blown. What I want: * 4WD, or, at a minimum, AWD. My lawn has moderate slopes and I don't want my mower slipping all over the place. Along the same lines... * a mower that can handle slopes. My property is "flat enough", but in reality, there are parts that have moderate slopes * a mower that can cut at, or very close to 4". I'll go as low as 3.5", but I grow turf type tall fescue, and there are too many mowers than only cut to 2.75" or so. Also, the EcoFlow Blade doesn't use boundary wires, but MANY PEOPLE are complaining that it's always losing its signal and won't cut when that happens. My dream is a mower that cuts my lawn at 4" and the only thing I have to do is changes the blades and clean underneath it once a month, so I can focus on other things. I don't know if that lawnmower exists yet.

im contemplating on spending money on this but im genuinely curious. When you saw this running, was it actually running autonomously? or was it manually mowing for the demo they gave you? Also, did you see any of the addons?

Unfortunately the kickstarter was abandoned by the creator. No mowers were made, and we lost lots of time and a whole lot of money.😢

I think Breaking Bad had some influence in the name or maybe the German theoretical physicist Werner Karl Heisenberg. "I am the one who knocks." Great show!

I immediately thought about breaking bad after hearing that too, but then my brain automatically switch to figuring out how the funding for this mower actually came to be. Yep. Good old meth. Your *oddam right.

In the APP, you have to select if you want to see the location or the speed. You can't have both ;-)

If offered with more Torque, I would like to have a bag on it so it could Mulch & Bag for my Compost Pile. Using an App, it could send you a notification that the bag needs to be emptied. On the top of the machine would be a (PAUSE) button (that could be pressed by the property owner) so that the bag can be safely removed for emptying, then once the bag is securely attached, a "RESUME" button would allow it to continue its programming! So sad to witness how BLATANTLY LAZY we have become...😿

The fertilizer technology is nothing new. This is a tech taken from agriculture and has been around for 20+ years. Otherwise it's cool. How does it compare to the new Toro robot mower?

looks very underpowered so suitable for small lawns with flat easy cut grass.
