This week on Let's Roll we are playing Mascarade! In Mascarade players need to keep track of their role and its abilities to gain 13 coins before anyone else does. The twist is players are able to swap roles with one another without and claim to have a role they may or may not. Those who feel confident a player is lying can publicly challenge them to reveal themselves. How will we fare in this game of memory, deception, and clever bluffing?
Powers:
Judge - Take all of the courthouse's gold
Bishop - Take 2 gold coins from the richest of the other players
King - Receives 3 gold coins
Queen - Receives 2 gold coins
Witch - Swaps their entire fortune with that of another player of their choice
Cheat - Wins the game if they have 10 or more gold coins

Love the Fool and Inquisitor roles in the base game, Puppet Master is brilliant in the expansion. There is a rule which means if your card has just been revealed in the turn prior to your own turn, you can’t claim your role (so Bishop couldn’t be used twice at the end).

Rule: If a player just revealed their card in the turn immediately before, that player cannot use the ability from announcing/revealing their character during their own turn. (I think that mistake happened a couple of times in the video, including the winning move.)

Trevor should have gotten 2 coins from Jack since he was the highest at 18:57. So Ky should have won. Given that Joe didn't plan to swap if Ky was still at 10 coins

You are correct about Trevor breaking the rule, but Joe could have just swapped cards with Ky so Ky might not have won quite yet. He only did what he did to Jack because they thought they made Ky not win.

Sir the ability of the Cheat confuses me in the rule book says- "Wins the game if they have 10 or more gold coins" - which means I must have first 10 coins or more to activate and start announcing my character and If I'm correct, automatically wins the game? Can I start with less than 10 coins before announcing the character ( Cheat)? Can I also challenge who announces that they are the Cheat if I only have less than 10 coins? My outcome is if I challenge and I'm correct but only less than 10 coins will I pay to the courthouse?

@@noonyx33 To be fair to Jack, Let's Roll's been kind of beating him up lately. Luck just hasn't been on his side. I don't think I would personally get frustrated like that, but I can certainly understand why he's gotten to that point after the last few instances of him basically not even really getting to play the games, let alone win.

Dun want to whine but I'll do it anyway. Could you perhaps tune some of "high notes" to be less of finger nails on 'board quality. While I want to encourage people of all ethnicities and spectrum of sex to play board games.. holy f' does some Rooster's people's high pitch voice pierce when they argue about anything to other people in any context..
