I don't enjoy the main character's sprite art but the game looks like it could be fun. Id be interested in seeing a more extensive review once it is released
7:05 my initial impression is that Miko's character dialogue needs some work - her dialogue only in part seems to match her art. Talkative aunties *are* a character type, but some of the phrases she used "what im trying and failing to say" for example, seem like something a younger woman might say instead
I feel like text does a pretty good job at conveying information (the major part of speech) but a bad job of conveying emotion (the major part of laughter), so that may be why seeing laughter as text feels kind of wrong. Especially when it's right next to actual words, which work so well with text
I'm watching this and drinking a matcha latte, guess you could say I really got into the SPIRIT of the game xD (I'm really hoping to play this game on my Steam Deck when I get it in autumn, the game gives me very cozy autumn with tea vibes)
@@JoshGamingGarden I was going towards bed as well, even my cat Neptune is just staring at me like "get out of the office" I told him right after this video he continues to stare
i don't mind the characters having laughter in the dialogue, but maybe a more effective way of doing it would be voice overs - each character has a few select sounds - eg a child's giggle, excited yell, and curious sound, for a young character. They could just vary that sound clip depending on the context of the sentence.
Yeah I actually prefer games without voice acting (cause often time the voice acting just… isn’t great if the budget is low) but little clips are nice. If they’re usually not very often.
I'm the lucky 777 liker! Thanks for all your great videos ^^ I don't often comment, but I really appreciate your work! Thanks again! Oh, and totally looking forward to getting this game one day!
CMIIW this game seems to be using quite a lots of SNES classic RPG graphical assests "EARTHBOUND" EARTHBOUND is a game that is published by "NINTENDO" itself, and NINTENDO are known notoriously to sue anyone that fringing their copyrights.
