We have this fifth wheel and love it, the one thing that I would really like would be plugs in the bedroom lower to the floor by the dresser. If you want to use an alarm clock or a fan, the plug in the ceiling is just does not work well.
People think it's about wearing a bath robe and pretending to be a wizard when usually you spend most of the time making inappropriate jokes and eating snacks
Mmm...tandoori. Goes great with Couscous. Oh...the Tandara, good combination of features. They need to eliminate that open shelving in the bathroom. Well executed "reverse" rear living.
I have a new "nerdism" for that outside Kitchen/ Entertainment center. Ready for it? It's a "Enteritchen". lol I'm starting to become a RV Nerderism myself. Thanks Josh
Beautiful RV! I love the colors. I even don't mind the loveseat in place of theatre seats. I would choose a queen bed and a second AC as well as a residential refrigerator. I would upgrade the bathroom fan to maximize the ability to get rid of moisture.
I would walk into that toilet for sure. I like the symmetry of the island. And the shelf under the sink. A place for dishwashing supplies, a dishpan, perhaps, and then an upper shelf for a nicely folded stack of dishtowels. I like a drawer near the sink. It’s where my sharp things live, like peelers, paring knives, chefs knife etc. and another drawer for colander or strainer. Things used at the sink. And the Brinkley style trash bin, half version. Not a fan of the no space along side the cook top. I’m right handed and I don’t necessarily appreciate having to turn foods like sausage and then drip the tongs across when I’d ordinarily put to the right. It’s a lefties kitchen to be sure. I would be very annoyed at a doorless storage space also. Visual clutter is seeing all your old mismatched towels and stuff. I’m for order behind doors. And it may come tumbling out for all we know. Thes a lot of cool features, but the ones I mentioned are things that would eliminate this from my maybe list.
I don’t mind a small oven IF the microwave is a convection oven. I would prefer not having the cut out for the wastebasket because the space looks big enough for two wastebaskets. I do like the bench that can be taken out of the dining space and used as a storage coffee table. Are the cabinet stiles stained or sticker wrapped? I think they have a few good ideas but are not quite at the level of Montana or Pinnacle. That flat bare wall would be a great place for the owner to hang art work, a mirror, or other decorations. Many RVs don’t give you that option.
These are sticker wrapped. There’s nothing in this class that has actual stained cabinetry. Not at this price point rather. As you said until you get into that much higher dollar stuff you don’t tend to see full hardwood with stain
Oh my lord the outdoor tv. That’s cool. Also, haven’t thought of that movie powder in a long time! I’m going to have to try and find that to watch now.
It kind of reminds me of the Eagle 317OK. Those outside kitchens tend to really encroach in on the living space. But I knew you weren't Martha Stewart, because you didn't have your sidekick Snoop Dog with you! Dead giveaway.
Hey Uncle Josh is the back on the hide-a-bed suppose to be like a headboard? I really like that sofa slash hide-a-bed. The whole fifth wheel is awesome and amazing. I love the colors in it, they knocked it out of the park straight up grand slam!!!!!! I would put this fifth wheel on some land an it would be my permanent home. Your number one fan Leonard from NC. Would you make it your permanent home if you had a chance Uncle Josh. It's nicer than a lot of the tiny homes I have seen.!!
I would put a well an septic system on some land an a 300 pound propane tank an set up this East to West Tandara 321 RL-OK an would be set and have the best home ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kinda yeah. There's a part of that "headboard" that flips down so your pillows don't fall into neverland up there I don't think I flipped & demonstrated though
I love this one. Definitely in the top 5. I would like to see all the Tandaras that you care to show. I appreciate the work you put into making these videos.
I really liked your review of the Tandara. It would be great to get a review of the Ahara and see how it compares/what sets it apart from the Tandara. I love that you have access to so many more RV brands to make these informative, yet entertaining videos.
Hey Josh, I just found out a Dealership local to me, Hayes RV in Longview TX is closed today and tomorrow as they are transitioning to Bish's RV. Sound like you need to take a road trip! If you do get down this way, I would love to meet you.
So as a CPAP user I would prefer to have a small cabinet over the bed to put the CPAP in seeing both my husband and I use them. It's easiest for the hose so that it doesn't wrap around your neck. We currently have a table with ours on it then it comes up and over and thru our headboard to make it none wrapping
You may also notice I didn't try to conveniently overlook it. I strive always to be fair. This RV was parked in the pacific northwest not far from the coast. Higher salt content in the air there will often accelerate surface corrosion on RVs. This one was far more advanced than most others I had seen for sure
This one looks very nice overall, and the price range looks appropriate too. My only gripe with this one is that step-up type floor on the range side. I've heard other commenters say it kind of sucks kicking your foot against it all the time, but I'd have to go in one and check it out myself.
It's definitely something to "Try on for size" RVs were like that for years and it didn't seem to be an issue until just recently But there also wasn't a lot of alternative available until recently so...
My wife actually broke her toe on that when we were looking at the 286 model last year in Florida. We just bought one at the Hershey show (286 model). She will be much careful now.
The wife and I looked at the sister plan 386mb and loved the couch setup. Bought the arctic wolf 3660 suite instead due to pin weight and overall gross weight of the trailer. This is still one of our favorite trailers the cabinet layout is nicer than many of the high-end fifth wheels.
I have actually -- see here! bit.ly/3RwvAEC I simply don't have an opportunity to get my hands on a lot of them as they're just not common in the midwest where I spend more of my time
This is an awesome and very popular couple’s floorplan. I’m impressed once again with all of the quality standard features! So much so that I think that I would splurge for a decent bathroom fan and be content saving $60,000 over a similar Jayco Northpoint👍The sloppy roof and no solar was a bit disappointing, but no solar combined with a two-way fridge isn’t a dealbreaker.
That hide-a-bed is a rather handy design. I kinda want one for my house... or maybe my friend's house. He really could use a sofa in that big empty space that he's been saying for years he's gonna turn in to a gaming and theater room. I also think it's funny how I was thinking the ottoman bench would be nice to setup a battle mat on for tabletop RPGs and store the gaming material, just before the mention of D&D.
In my experience, it's usually a mimic. I do like the look of this one and agree there needs to be a window in the door or on that wall. It's dark there.
Found this channel recently. Really enjoying the content. Do you have a video or plan on making one for best travel trailers for single people? Lol I don’t want anyone else in there with me and it seems like everything is designed with too many occupants in mind.
Hmm... I don't have something like that specifically but it's an interesting idea No promises I'll be able to get to it, but Maybe you could help me.. what would you consider features important to the life of a single RVer? How would that vary from a common "couple's camper?"
I know they make them without bunks but i also had the idea of a full bed e/w orientation and a small theater chair or sofa instead of a murphy bed. Nobody makes that n i get they gotta make a layout with the most marketability. As i research closest i can get is a queen and the layouts are wonky for entertainment setup. I appreciate the reply and even though i live in Alabama when I decide to purchase i will be making a trip up to y’all.
Ventless floors and great road mode access are fantastic, but what really got my attention is the current sale prices. MSRP puts this on par with the Reflection we're considering, but sale price is significantly less on this one. Very nice pass-through too. The other half prefers floor plans like this with the entertainment opposite the kitchen, otherwise, it makes it feel like there's no separation between the kitchen and living room to her. That outdoor kitchen TV is indeed very, very, cool! This baby could even pair with a (max payload) three-quarter ton too!
To be fair it's mostly just basic travel trailers not coming with a tv from the factory these days, so that might affect some people's perception. I guess you could say that it's reflective of how the rv industry went from designing nearly every model for those wanting a more unplugged vacation to designing most larger models for full-time living.
I'd call the color beige but it is hard to tell on a monitor on what looks like a cloudy day. I like the light fixtures over the table and island. Not a D&D nerd but I run into mimics in Final Fantasy XIV.
Mimics are just as nasty in both series Once in a D&D game I told the players there was a sign on the chest that read "This is a Mimic." They still went for it.
Josh, nice fifth wheel, I would love to know your top 2-3 mid profile fifth wheels taking all things into consideration, service, quality and amenities that are under 100k with a bedroom slide out
I am not sure why they are not putting a window in the door, but as a woman, I would appreciate the ability to see if it is a murder hobo at my door. Safety first please!
The way LED lighting is these days instead of just doing blue lights why don't they just put in the ones where the customer can put whatever color they want.
I think it's a mimic and you used some technical nerd editing magic and the real one is in a Legend of Zelda hidden secret spot. It does need an extra window either in the door or hall wall. And the bed NEEDS tables on the slide fascia trim. Love the couch! Needs another AC! Thanks Josh!
I only made it to 3:30 before I have to say, ONE A/C?!! How would that be zero to 100 worthy? I’ve honestly never understood why they’d only use one A/C on something with a separate bedroom, let alone that long. Doesn’t make sense to me but I don’t design them so…………
I asked about that single air to the staff in the store (because I personally agree with you and had the same concerns) They mentioned in their region a lot of people dry camp and like to outfit that bedroom vent with a big XL fan for airflow
Floor plan would be very comparable to the 264RLS Roamer. Felt like that was worth a mention. This one is longer and narrower, Smaller tanks, More cargo capacity, and more pin weight.
Hey Josh, since you have so many brands and models to review, consider including where the model is made, the name of the model’s parent corporation, any difference in warranty. Thanks for what you do.
I could do without the 2nd AC, but I would probably get it anyway. I cool my whole house (~1150 ft²) with a single window air conditioner (12k BTU), and it's rare for me to be uncomfortably warm. I cool to 62 overnight, when it's cooler outside and the AC runs more efficiently, and then put it to 72 eco mode during the day unless it's really hot. It takes several hours for the heat to warm up stuff that was chilled overnight.
@@kendallt2020 No, it's old loose-fill cellulose. I'm planning to have it all cleaned out and replaced, as my winter electric bill is too high already and they're doubling the cost on me. But in summer I don't get as much heat coming in from the attic as I lose out to it in winter. I wouldn't blame you for not believing me, I was shocked how much of a difference it made when I tried this. Two factors to consider, I keep two rooms closed off almost all the time because I'm not using them, so I'm really only cooling a bit over 900 square feet, and I'm (barely) comfortable enough at 80 degrees. Unfortunately I have enough personal insulation from fat to also be comfortable enough at 62 degrees; since I do, might as well take advantage of it. Oh, also, the house is unoccupied when I'm at work - when I'm in it and doing things, I have to run the air conditioner some during the afternoon because of the extra heat I'm generating (my PC, cooking, etc.).
I don't usually post negative comments on your page, but the amount of surface rust on the frame of this 5th wheel is ridiculous. They need to do a better job at QC.
I don't mind something that isn't positive if it's fair and I think this is. This RV is parked in the pacific northwest near the coast. Proximity to salt water can really accelerate surface corrosion on RVs. Also common along the eastern seaboard. But yeah. She rusty
I like it overall, a really nice entry-level fifth-wheel rv. I wish the sink was offset to give a little more prep space and that they would also give a folding extension on the side of it. I may have brain farted and missed it but did they have an upgraded suspension on it???
I don't recall an upgraded suspension on these. I believe you start seeing things like that show up on the Ahara series but I might be mixing up my wires a bit. There's SO many rigs out there I cover now that it gets blurry
