He wasn't broken though he was taking the journey he thought he needed to take. He had a vision and, spoke with Odin and, though he knew it would lead to his death he took that journey to secure his legacy and, a place for the Vikinger on English soil.
@@Jrty-tr5nu he was in no way broken though watch the actual show. He's just at peace with his death and, knows it's coming. He even has visions of how he was going to die before it happened. He just chooses to give up violence.
@@joshuareynolds23 I've seen the show. People like you just have to disagree. He was broken he literally tried hanging himself before he left to England.
Actually no the seer said you will die the day the blind man sees you That’s why later he asks how long until he gets to the location and the driver said one day That’s why after he has this talk with the seer about how he’s wrong and etc
@@jake62265 how am i negative? You just said something that everyone watched and they already know or for those who dont - u just gave out a spoiler. How is MY comment negative? Yours is just completely useless for both sides
@@reapercr0w the prophecy itself is a spoiler for this episode. And your clearly the only one with a problem when there's 60-70 likes on it and no one else has cared to comment on it like you did
He walked the walk all the way to his Death bed he truly was one of the greatest Vikings n Travis is a great actor I became of fan of him because of this show
U fucked my mind man. Doggystyle. Shiiit I’m still thinking, cuz like the one who is trying to win will probably do anything to win but and other wouldn’t mind dying and the same time lose 🤔 man I don’t know 🤷🏾♂️
The man who wants to win will not sacrifice that one thing to win. Something still pushes him forward. The other man has nothing wins and loses nothing. When it comes to deprivation my vote is the lattee
that may be true n a fictional series scripted by men, but not in Truth. In Truth, there is one God above us all, who created this creation we call "life", which has more power than any man on earth, no matter how smart, rich or fearless.
@@leomotta2776 creator -> creation ! observable: creation (earth, heaven, plants, animals, men) -> proof of creator (spirit of God) a chair is made by carpenter. A chair doesn‘t exist without the carpenter who made it, yet the carpenter will not be where the chair is, for example in your house. Still you know someone made it, although you’ve never seen the face of this carpenter. And so it is with God. You can know, without ever having seen, simply by being wise.
@@theswordofthespiritspeakstoyouSorry, but personally I don't think there's a giant dude in space who created everything. This and every other religion is just a fiction that people invented thousands of years ago to explain why things are the way they are.
Ragnar knew what his death would bring to England. He knew his country would want the smoke for whoever killed him. It was a chess move & he hit Aella with a checkmate.
He knew he would never see athelstan again thats why he was soo heartbroken when he died, ragnar knew athelstan wouldnt be in valhalla because of his christian faith so when he died that was really the end of the road, ragnar never really recovered from this
@topbloke1683 In my opinion he did get over athelstan in the end , the obsession of wanting him by his side faded , and he sort of said goodbye to him through Athelstans Son , when Ragnar gave him the cross , i felt like he was washing away Athelstans influence on him , although he was heartbroken for a long time , but in the end , When He’s In Valhalla He Sometimes Would Visit Earth & hassle Floki about building him a new boat , thats how i knew he wasn’t completely broken by what happened to Athelstan . Wow that was long
Ragnar buried his true friend Athelstan without knowing what a martyr was but he had within himself the real desire to know. There, captured like a vile animal, he gives himself up to death like a true martyr, like a man who gives himself out of love for his people. One of the best scenes ever.
Not broken. ❤ Tired. Just tired. ❤ He passed the torch to his children. He was so betrayed by humans as were many. Do you not see the message in his death?
The most insane thing is they did this so well and he acted so well as broken man it seemed like he was in his 60s at this point but in these times and not to mention how much he did for his country and people he was at best probably 37-42 years old if you count all of his heathens ages. Also i believe he was kept prisoner for a while, it was fan theoried that he was there for a decade or more being tourtued daily but the show made it look like it was a week before he got thrown into the pitt.
The ending of Ragnar was pretty fucking sad. People and his own kin looked at him like he was a POS but everything he did, even when it came to neglecting his kids was for his people. It was always about his people
Skol. Drink brothers and sisters for valhalla welcomes our great brothers and sister with deafening cheers of warriors and valkaries. They now drink fine ale from curved golden horns. To Ragnar, Bjorn, Athlestan and Largartha!.
Ragnar Lothbrok like many descendants of the Yule father of the Viking Christmas tradition known as Yule tide defended and rewarded the peaceful children which they do not eat in fact Vikings never really betrayed their own that they wear oath rings and they never ever eat their own kin for that would be taking the easy way out that they preferred to eat a healthy diet of the harmless type of tree wood possibly Yule tree wood of the old Christmas world tree of wizard and witch wands and long boats if it is not poisonous and as long as it was turned into saw dust so you did not get splinters in your throat or organs.
*SPOILER* Man I fell in love with this Show. Ragnar and Floki's acting kept me so pulled in - After they died/left it became really hard to finish. No one's acting/emotions were at the same level.
I believe the blind man was the imagination of Ragnar as in one moment the blind man transforms into the Seer; "you will die the day the blind man sees you" said the Seer, the blind man seeing Ragnar was actually the Seer, or at least his imagination aligning to what he believe, "I will die one day after the blind man saw me, you were wrong, there are no gods". His imagination giving him the story to justify what he believed, that there are no gods and no predictions of a "Seer", that they were not Seers, they were blind men, blind of the future; all of that in Ragnars beliefs. We all align our sights to what we believe in.
