@@BobBob-qq9xn That and obviously plot armor for the main characters, its a real shame but I wish we could've seen more of his strengths in the Clone Wars, even if being a Jedi Killer is only partially as effective which is logical considering his lack of the Force, he should've gotten some tactical moments or something, it would really make him more competant if these successes didn't happen off screen. That and maybe some jedi deaths that were less masters. Pretty sure there was a comic about rogue Padawans trying to assasinate him and failing but managing to save younglings.

Meanwhile, in the Old Republic: "Annoyed statement: if I see one more meat bag use a blaster against a Jedi I will blow a fuse."

@@beakwooda.k.aadregallus8788 That's the old lore, I believe. IIRC new canon is that he was always this bad and voluntarily went through the cybernetic augments. I may be wrong. It's been a while since i actually trudged through a wiki page.

@@TheGruntMeister Technically when he says he chose the cybernetics for improvements he chose them in legends as well. It was either die or live as a monster to hunt Jedi and with Grievous' anger, he chose to become this new form. So when his medical droid says he doesn't understand why Grievous would submit to this Grievous answers truthfully saying he chose this to improve himself to take revenge on the Jedi. So I don't think it was retconned in any way just not mentioned correctly and the statues that symbolized Grievous' transformation could have been added arms to the statue symbolizing his strength or something because if they were the statue arms they would have been the same color, but the added arms where actual Grievous robotic arms not part of the statue. So realistically the Legends Grievous story is canon because it was never retconned with who, what, why, and when Grievous came to be, and with that being the only story besides this mention by the medical droid and probably Grievous' truthful answer it's to believe that's his canon story.

What I love about this portrayal is that they keep the hammy-ness and the sense of humor Grievous has come to be associated with, but this time HE'S the only one who finds the situation funny. You can hear in his voice just how much he enjoys using the last words of Elsbeth's mother to mock her. He really is a straight up slasher villain here, which I think is the ideal way to portray him.

If you are talking about Ahsoka he wiped the floor with her twice, and what's so wrong about gungans anyways?

Grievous defeated Ahsoka many times and not the other way around and the Gungans are a race of warriors, Jar Jar is not the norm

Which scene? There's quite a few deleted ones. The two that come to mind with Grievous is when obiwan kills him with his bare hands, or when Grievous uses his Wheel ride to grind up clone body parts and send then flying at Kenobi

@@aitipsea3909 i know, but I do believe that there is a difference in portrayal of Grievous in TCW and other projects. It makes the character writing an inconsistent one. I understand that someone like Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Kit Fisto could challenge him, but these are either top tier jedi council members, and/or direct counters to the abilities of Grievous, not padawans, knights or some gungan soldiers. It was said multiple times that Grievous was a menace, a jedi killer, a butcher, and one of the greatest battle strategists in the galaxy. Yet we got something quite different in TCW, where he's an asthmatic coward and loser most of the time.

@@matthaeusdecuiavia8637 He gets the Jedi on the run just as much to the point every time he wins a duel the Jedi has to run away: Kit Fisto, Ahsoka twice, Kenobi twice too And besides almost every time he loses its because of someone else's incompetence: the B1's who couldn't reset the nav computer on the Malevolence, the Magnaguards who didn't find Rex's bombs on Skytop, the droid army who couldn't stop Hevy's sacrifice, Ventress who rejected his offer for a droid escort and lost the DNA as a result, Rish Loo who couldn't stop Jar Jar and Boss Lioni

@@aitipsea3909 true, but in Star Wars this issue is too common. You have these villains, who are dangerous, fearsome, maybe even competent, well, in some cases genius, (like Thrawn, especially in legends), but Disney often fails to portray them as a legitimate threat, because of too much plot armor added here and there. Ahsoka is a prime example here in her encounters with Grievous. I remember this scene with padawans, where she fought him, then suddenly her face was grabbed by his leg, and smashed into the ground. She came out from this without a scratch. Like, seriously? Surviving a stab wound is less ridiculous. I think it was season 5, but I don't remember which episode.

@@matthaeusdecuiavia8637 yeah it was S5, A Necessary Bond, though to be fair Grievous did the same thing with Morgan's mother, and honestly I don't care because it is a really cool move regardless and you feel the impact of it. Of course Jedi projected with plot armor will be fine but other aren't, Grievous in 08 claimed Nahdar as a knight and the Jedi escort at the beginning of Shadow of Malevolence

hey so the thing is the nightsister are to the other clan's what the sith are to the jedi's, their essentially dark sider but also their power and control over the force isn't has straight forward has the jedi or sith Merrin has talikos teaching her and the left over book of the clan to empower her magic but even her lost it for a little bet in a book in-between fallen order and survivor, their magick isn't fully gone has we see maul use it in Rebel as well, So the most likely explanation is due to the Dathomiri culture of you gotta earn Everything you have and their force power have spell and worded component like some Dnd classes that the quickest way to explain them. Dathomiri's: Druids Nightsister's : Druids/Necromancer as a side note their religion and view of the force also is linked to the Son and daughter The winged goddess which give life and the power of light (and life), she the one who welcomes them in death (Is basically the daughter griffin form) The Fang god who leads their hunts when The planet fall under complete darkness. and represent destruction. (literally the gargoyle that the Son can become) if you can get access to it a good legend thing that still apply very well for the nightsister and dathomiri is ''wild power'' which is a book written from Talzin point of view. 2003 is him before he was injured by Windu Revenge of the Sith is accurate since unlike what he thrived in, Obi Wan was going after him so he didn't have any surprise or fear to manipulate, plus again he's injured at this point. Also helps that Obi Wan's style is practically the best to fight Grevious and he still almost lost. Clone Wars Grevious gets folded in laughably bad ways, and was more of a joke than he was a threat most episodes. This one is way inaccurate as he was still a force to be reckoned with, and his whole thing was to get in their heads and manipulate the fight in his favor, dude doesn't use sneak attacks or really any tactics, just runs at enemies. Worst iteration by far. This one is accurate, but realistically this isn't much a fight, he's cool, but he's also not even really trying because he doesn't have to. Again, this one is accurate but just doesn't truly push the Jedi hunter character that he's known for, more of the "General" of a land invasion than the "Grevious" if that makes sense. His personality is still there, but I love seeing him go all out against what would've been a competent force, so this is a cool flash but not my favorite scene.

They've always been like that. The two dark sider who survived being stabbed lived off the dark side, while Sabine got immediate medical attention. In any usual case, lightsaber stabs will kill people

Watch the 2003 clone wars and you'll see just how masterfully he was depicted as a formidable foe and villain It was the very first time he was ever introduced to Star Wars and they built up his reveal amazingly, like we never saw him fully until he jumps in to combat 5 Jedi at once Prior to that we would only see a far away shot of his body in a cloak, or a zoomed in shot of his hand but never his face, nope not until he pounces on the Jedi

Cheap moves and honorless tactics are signature Grievous tho, the way he killed her was exactly how he killed Nahdar in 08

Strategizing usually whenever he would fail during the clone wars it would be followed by him going on a rampage and winning multiple victories the problem is what I like to call the screen time affect because those multiple victories were not on the screen The fans ignore them whether or not they are Canon didn't matter it's a problem all fiction has
