God rested the Seventh Day. He set it aside and apart as His Special Holy Day. This is why Sunday will never be Holy, because God was busy working on the six days of the week. The 4th Commandment covers both work and Worship.

The brother held his end nicely with a few hickups.Jesus is not the Sabbath but Lord of the Sabbath.We all must be prepared to answer questions relating to our faith.

The Sabbath is truth therefore fact from creation this doctrine cannot be contended with. But the manner in which many keep it can be. This Sabbath I was with some Adventists. One of them decided to go to the shops. He asked some others if there was anything he could get for them. There was plentiful food and drink at the place we were. He came back later having bought a belated birthday present for someone there, who has also been a long-standing member of the SDA church. Very happy with the gift he promptly tried it on and thanked the giver. The work of clearing away and washing dishes was also accomplished during the Sabbath hours. The young man that went to the shop, is fairly new to Adventism and had not realised that that buying and selling and all work must all be accomplished on the preparation day. So later I had a little word with him as to how God said we should keep it. We are friends and he was happy we spoke. Sadly he was not given correction from any other longstanding members of the SDA that were present. Shopping and talking about shopping seem to be accepted activities on the Sabbath. Many years ago when I was an Adventist it was not. But as the world has progressively been on a downward slope . So has the the Christian religion, still maintaining a higher standard than the world, but following the world in lowering standards. Not realising that they are now at the level of what the world was say 20 or so years ago. They have not held to the high standards God demands of those who will be His children,....Exo_16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: ((bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning..... I feel like the elder didn’t know a lot of the arguments, and how to put them down. Like as soon as he brought up Act 10 he should’ve said “ read further down . Peter then go to say “ the Lord has shown me I shall not call any men, common or unclean”. And as soon as he misquoted the verse about Jesus being lord of the sabbath he should’ve either open to the Bible app or immediately corrected Him that he’s basically making up a verse. Along with the fact that, as soon he started saying “ levitical laws” stop him right there and say “ I think I’m in moral laws it’s a part of the 10 Commandments not the 10 suggestions “

I appreciate much of what you do, but I think you are really missing the mark when you’re saying it doesn’t matter what we believe, or what we do, as long as we profess Christ. God has children in Babylon, yes, but He has commissioned us to call them out of that doomed symbolic city, not to pat their backs and tell them they’re fine. We must try to teach them present truth.

Please remember that, not everyone being witessed to, will accept what you are saying. In Matthew 10:1-23 there are different grounds that the gospel fell on, but only the good ground listeners received the message gladly and brought forth much fruit.

Regarding legalism this guy only call Seventh day Adventist as legalist because we follow the law of God , but if you are Sunday keeper you are not a legalist , that is illegalist to me . Obedience to Jesus ‘ law is the highest form of worship . We worship Jesus as our creator and and our Savior , Jesus rested after creating the world on the 6th day and rested on the 7th day , Jesus rested on the Sabbath after Jesus died on Friday and Jesus resurrection day was never called the new Sabbath . Per Dr .Luke in the book of Acts the apostles and disciple continue their Sabbath worship even after went to heaven in Acts 1 . Being a believer of the SDA church philosophy I gladly worship on the true Sabbath, but then again I worship everyday. My day would not be complete without prayer and I would feel lost without it. Even my grandchildren pray at mealtime even if they are alone. Their choice makes me proud.

I also noticed the interviewer has a question about legalism when confronting the issue of God's Sabbath (laws) whereas he accepts the existence of the courts of laws in our countries. They (countries) must abolish the courts and laws so as not to be legalistic. Thanks a lot

People also misinterpret scripture when it says Jesus fulfilled the law. To fulfil is not to do away with, it is to live exactly according to what was planned. For example, Chelsea football club fulfielled their fixture against arsenal. Meaning they played part.

God says that we are to have an answer for our faith. We need to have our facts down pat so that we can help correct other's misunderstandings. "Study to show thyself approved, rightly dividing the word of truth..." (hopefully I've got that right. Don't want to lead anyone astray).

I forget the year but yes, there was a change in the calendar when 10 days were added on. But it did NOT change the weekly cycle. Wednesday the 4th became Thursday the 15th that year.

I do not blame him for not explaining that yes the calendar changed, but the days of the week did not change with that change. It's so hard to make a full response when you're put on the spot.

He said that it’s “pretty much the same as it was” that gives some leeway to claim that the days of the week are maybe lost track of which is the 7th Day. What has been established is that the progression of the days of the week have never been changed every time there was a change in the Calendar of use the days stayed the same if they introduced a new calendar on Monday the new Calendar started on the same day of the week that the old calendar ended. So the names of the days may be renamed but the order of the days were never changed.

The Sabbath is determined according to the Hebrew calendar, not according to any other calendar used by non-Jews. Adjustments made to other calendars, to make up for lost days, are not relevant. The Hebrew calendar remains the same today, as it was in the beginning. The Hebrew calendar actually has a built in adjustment of it's own. In their equivalent to a leap year, roughly once every 3 years, they observe the month of Adar twice, and that brings the annual feasts and festivals back into their proper seasons.

Okay. if Jesus is the Sabbath, they are saying that on the creation week God created Jesus on the 7th day of creation. They concoct all kinds of excuses not to obey the 10 commandments.

We will need to know what we believe and be able to defend it. In circumstances such as this, This is what the Bible mean when it says that the Holy Spirit will bring back to our remembrance scriptures and teachings that we have studied. The key words or status is , that what we have studied.

If you read all of Acts 10, it even interprets the vision & shows it wasnt talking about food. And the vision even shows that there are unclean foods we should not eat. I believe many have not crossed over to Seventh Day adventism just yet because the shaking has to happen first. HERE'S PROOF that the SABBATH HAS NOT BEEN EvERY 7 Days FROM CREATION! In Exodus 12:2,3 God told Moses that the thin crescent (chodesh found 3 times in that verse) is the beginning of the month and 1st month of the year. On the 10th day they set apart a lamb for Passover and kill it in the evening. (King James) but the margin says "betweeen the evenings" like Christ who died in the afternoon on the 14th day, the next day being the 1st day of Passover on the 15th, Leviticus 23:5-7. Verse 11 refers to that 15th day as a Sabbath, Strongs 7676 which refers to the 7th day Sabbath, and this is why John 19:31 says, that sabbath day was an high day It was so because the 7th day Sabbath and the annual Sabbath (1st day of Passover) coincided on the 15th day. But we find that the next month, in Exodus 16:1 that God was talking with Moses on the Sabbath the 15th, and when Moses said the people wanted food, God said He would give them manna for six days (16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, but NO MANNA to collect on the 7th day, (the 22nd) This means the week earlier in the 2nd month on the 15th was ALSO a 7th DAY SABBATH, see Exodus 16:22,23 to see the FIRST PLACE we find SABBATH in the Bible, And TWO MONTHS in a row, it’s on the 15th. YOU CANNOT HAVE Sabbath on the 15th or 22nd TWO MONTHS in a row unless you are counting from the NEW MOON as Day 1 (it’s like a Sabbath and “from one new moon to another,” shall all flesh come before God in heaven, Isaiah 66:23. If there were 28 days to the month, the Sabbath could be every 7, days, but because the Bible supports a 30-day month (with 1260 days in 3 1/2 years) you CANNOT HAVE the 7th DAY Sabbath on the 15th or 22nd of the month TWO Months in a row. The point is, the pure woman standing on the moon in Revelation 12:1, has a lunar understanding of the calendar that sets the pace each month for a new moon to be observed (“blow up the trumpet in the new moon”, Ps 81:3) and then work SIX days and rest on the 7th day which is the 8th day of the month, counting from the new moon day as God said in Exodus 12:2. The Papal Gregorian Calendar is a masterpiece of deception for SDAs and Jews because if they can keep Passover on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, but wait till the 7th day Sabbath, it means Christ was in the grave more than 3 days till the Resurrection, but TWO passages say God would not suffer His Holy One (Christ) to see corruption, like Martha said of Lazarus, -- he stinketh-it’s been four days since he died. Christ rose on the 3rd day in the AM after dying on Friday PM so He did not see corruption or stink. All of this to say that God got an ignorant Bride in the covenant at Sinai-they worshiped a calf 40 days later, but this must not happen to Christ-and we can be part of God’s Elijahs to restore all things, including the biblical LUNAR Calendar that He gave in Exodus 12:2 as shown by other passages above to confirm it. SDAs have leadership (aggelos means messenger in Rev 3) that is "blind and naked." Rev 3:17.

Peter said that god said I should call no man common or unclean it had nothing to do with food. Cornelius the Italian understood it and Peter formally prejudice against gentiles understood it in jesus Christ. We are all one.. thank God for his word which will lead us into all truth.

We are not here to say who will be saved or who would be lost we are here to spread the gospel to call people back to the truth. One thing for sure no one would be rewarded for disobedience, no one would be rewarded for following man's law while rejecting God's law.

The man with the microphone was insisting that if you are keeping the Sabbath, you have to keep it like the Pharasees. Christians should follow the example Jesus set. Jesus freed the Sabbath of the rigorus traditions of the Pharasees. Our focus must, not be on the calendar. Rather be focused on Exodus 16:1-35. The seventh day Sabbath is God's Sabbath, we can't claim we love God and just do what we want. John 14:15 Jesus made it clear if you love Me keep My commandments. The Seventh day Sabbath is also in that commandments wich is the forth no ( 4) commandment . The Guy in the Orange is correct

Gentile is one who is alienated to the GOD of Israel and as such eat food they are accustomed to. Now receiving Christ' Jesus, am I not allowed to eat what I eat anymore? This is why the Commandments of the first covenant cannot apply to the second covenant because food eaten by nations may not be available in other nations. Do we now starve?

I think the SDA pastor was a bit unaware of the guy's agenda. He let him say certain things that were incorrect and a set up for later false statements. LIke when he said Jesus is the Sabbath the first time, the SDA pastor agreed. No sir, you have to challenge that because the text says he is Lord of the Sabbath.

How spending one day a week with God who we claim to love could NEVER be called legalism or a burden. This is beyond me. Our relationship with Jesus is supposed to be one of faith and trust, and when we trust and obey Him. If the only thing that He asks in return is to keep the Sabbath holy then I think our sacrifice is no comparison. “For this is the love of God, that we keep his Commandments: and his Commandments are not grievous.” 1 John 5:3. Surely, if it is legalism to observe the Sabbath then it should be legalism to keep the other 9 Commandments. 1 John 2:4 “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his Commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” John 15:10 “If ye keep my Commandments, ye shall abide in my love even as I have kept my Father's Commandments, and abide in his love.” 1 John 5:3 “For this is the love of God, that we keep his Commandments: and his Commandments are not grievous.” John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my Commandments.” - *We should desire to return the same unconditional love and not grieve God by calling spending a day with Him legalism.*

People believed that Jesus died on Friday or Preparation day , Jesus rested in between and Jesus was resurrected on first day of the week or Sunday . Exactly brother Lawrence this person does not understand the vision of Peter in Acts 10 and 11 , this vision has nothing to do with food . The Jewish people consider non Jewish , dog , unclean but through Peters vision , Peter was instructed not to call the gentiles unclean and that it is ok for gentiles to receive the word of God ( b4 Jesus instructed His followers to preach to the lost sheep of Israel , Judea , Jerusalem ) but because Jesus died for the sins of the world it’s ok now for gentiles to hear the word of God , that’s the meaning of the vision of Peter nothing to do with food …but about the word of God to be preached to the gentiles ty brother Lawrence for defending our true faith ..
