Another dose of weekly highlights, this time featuring a very confused Michael. And some other less dramatic moments too, I guess. Edited by: / simpingforotz Outro song: / its-all-a-dream
Myers' stalking is faster when the Survivor is close, but there's also a minimum distance and if a Survivor is too close they are simply impossible to stalk. If you want to avoid what happened at 3:05, follow these steps: 1) Step back slightly so the Survivor has a harder time getting inside your hitbox, since you lose collision while stalking. 2) Aim your camera at their feet; this creates more "distance" and makes it much easier to stalk people that are very close to you. 3) Don't pop Tier 3 on an injured person (we've all done it though lol).
Fun fact: running no mither, self-care, solidarity, and plot twist against a tombstone Myers is a valid strategy. This build will have you dead inside long before Myers does .
the first thing you learn in game development is that players will always find the most efficient way to play and play that way. It’s your job to make that way fun
Nah. If players decide to be toxic while being 'efficient', you should instead punish the toxic players and possibly reorient the objective of the game so the efficient playstyle changes to something else.
Wow you must have made a ton of really successful games then since you're so insightful. Why don't you go ahead and list your top 10 best sellers for us?
Otz your chess example is even funnier because people literally do that in chess too. I had someone the other day say "I don't play against queens gambit declined" and leave four moves into the game. It's the most popular response!
Pro tip: don’t drop the flashlight, if you have the flashlight and you don’t drop it you actually get to keep the flashlight and that’s a pretty good plus
@@soggybozo1515 That's why it's a good deed. No one would think it was a brave/noble sacrifice if dropping your item still let you keep it. That's why someone dropping their item is often called a "gift" or an "offering"
@@user-kj6dz4vi2z it’s not really brave or noble if it’s done when the survivor is literally 2 steps away from the exit lmao just keep the damn flashlight💀
He gets hate all the time whenever the devs do something one of his videos talks about so I'm sure he was just trying to get people to stop hating on content creators for making content
Amazing compilation as always Otz. Also have to give the editor (Shrimping if I'm not mistaken) extra props, they were always pretty good but really upped their game further lately, awesome job
2:53 This ACTUALLY spooked me You know that emotion cats have when you like move your hands towards them too fast and they flip out for no reason? Thats the emotion i just experienced
First of all thank you for your awesome content! You're one of my favorite content creators and one of 2 favorite dbd content creators who i watch all the time. Second, just a comment that I couldn't post on the add-on tier list so commenting here. I'm wondering if flashlights are a lot more popular on low to mid skill level than in higher level like yours. Over time I think I noticed a few of your comments that sounded like flashlights are not very common or not very strong but on my level (about 1000 hours) i constantly see flashlights in almost every game, often times multiple and they are the bane of my existence lol
I mean anyone with more than like 1k hours knows that info. If a killer puts a Gideon offering, it will either be a Blight with C33 or a Doctor with a skill check build, or in this rare case a Myers who probably ran out of Hawkins or Lery's offerings.
0:40 I remembered when I peaked against a Wesker in this map. I looped him for like 3.5 gens in the most trash loops I could find winning all my 50/50 It was actually incredible and the Wesker wasn't that bad so for once I felt good lol
7:20 otz I love you man, but you guys need to realize. YOU ALL GOT REACH in terms of influence on this community. while none of you are responsible, the try hard community copies ayrun & jrm to the letter man. so many resilience builds & not to mention killers builds that used to come from a fun innocent video you've made. take it from another content creator, do not underestimate your reach. it's very real.
I acknowledge that but NONE of us have influence to make people run bad perks or stop running strong ones. It's very frustrating when people complain about the meta as if it was somehow something we invented all on our own, you know?
Otz and other content creators are pointing out builds that already work, they're just educating others about it. They're not making the perks, deciding how they balance, or forcing others to use them. Bit harsh to say "none of you are responsible" and then imply they are....
@@notOtzdarva wasn't implying that content creators across the board created a meta, just that builds they see in videos are ran by common players. I'm talking about the influence of the builds in the videos. a lot of people see it. that's all, not really here to get upset like a lot of dbd players.
I think the unhooking mechanic is trash because it only gets you the unhook if the killer is trolling you with camping(like right to your face, and then if a survivor watched that type of camping you won’t get the u hook anyways) and doesn’t prevent any other types of camping. Killers just back up and watch the hook every match just to kill one or two people. Even tho they would get them without camping. I think the unhook needs to have the radius buffed to literally kindred level radius at least
4:57 I'd agree if this was a different game, but no offense, you made a video last month saying the devs don't even listen to you, which would probably be the person they would/should listen to the most in the community "Bringing something up to the devs" isn't really an option anymore, mass threatening to stop playing the game is
Otzdarva physically can't because, of course, he would lose his place as a fog whisperer. Here's an example: you'll never hear a journalist speak trash about his country, it would be counterproductive. I'm not an otz's friend, but I'm pretty good at psychological stuff, so he's probably thought, sometimes, to just give up as a fog whisperer, as it is a limit
Otz: If you don't like camping, just take it up with the devs! Don't be mad that killers play how the game is intended. Also Otz when a survivor uses DS and Dead Hard against him: >:(
@@notOtzdarva 6:00. I'll grant that you may not have been mad *specifically* at the survivor who used it, however, which i never claimed in the first place.
2:57 you know something is fucked when I thought someone was hacking to make Otz go at super speed and then I realized it’s just ONE perk I couldn’t have gained more years on my life then when I gave up DBD
Otz: if you don’t like when killers/survivors play unfairly channel that energy into telling the devs what you don’t like and asking them to change it. Meanwhile: the devs removed the match feedback button that was built in to the endgame screen like a year ago. Don’t pretend like they care Otz, get off your high horse.
I run trail of torment now. The moment it deactivates, you at least know someone is there. Otherwise I remain in stealth mode and take survivors by surprise.
