LovePlus was always mentioned whenever there was a conversation debating interactions in dating sims. It had the feature where they say your name like you mentioned and it wasn't half bad at English pronunciation despite it not leaving JP. It was on the 3ds so it had this thing where you could take a picture with your new virtual GF after you beat the first part of the game where you actually try to date them and get to know each other. Very quality, it headlined a ton when you would see those old "Japanese salary worker marries video game character" on the news.

I think I was out of the room when she said it. Any idea what section it was in? I'm curious. I know she mentioned she wanted different story elements, that I agreed on. The characters needed more depth.

Unironically seems like a very wholesome, comfy and engaging experience.

The fantasy being set up here(from what I can see) is breaking through the professional barrier and getting the girl to actually like you. I can understand the appeal there, but it's definitely going to be more niche.

In my personal opinion, Nekopara has its own issues. I think some kind of hybrid could be nice though, where you could choose who you want to be with.

It's done by a small indie dev. They have multiple teams I think, but small teams. This is their first game that uses multiple 3D models, most of their games are visual novels or basic 2D side scrolling puzzle games. I personally prefer their previous game Maid Of The Dead (which was a Holocure/Vampire Hunters clone)...but I can't bring myself to be too harsh on them. Nintendo de-listed 2 of their games because of antis...they make games for justification of panty shots...so likely the demographic is teens/lonely guys. I just support them because at least they are catering to a niche audience and haven't bent the knee to the woke mob, having their games de-listed over censoring.

@@silicabeastmaster1175 Good info. I found the game was made in Unity. I still feel, they could have taken an extra day or two to make more animations that are dependent on the character more. Its something I've had to do, and even in Blender if you have the animations already made you can edit them with SOME relative ease just to be slightly different.
