The funniest thing about Jimmy is how they made him this wild conspiracy theory guy, but he's basically correct about a lot of the stuff. Most things he says actually exist in the DC universe.
@@MikeyVentureFlamebird itself is the name of a Kryptonian legend/superhero, similar to Nightwing. I love the subtle nods they’re putting in this show!
I I love how his powers are coming about as he finds a need for them and instincts kick in. They're there, but he's never had any reason to know what muscle to flex, figuratively speaking. Also a nice touch that the show consistently shows the stakes before they matter so nothing feels out of nowhere. We knew the ice machine was a little janky but also that the ice dissipates immediately, so we can enjoy that scene without thinking 'welp, they're all dead'. Similar thing with the robots and their on/off switches in the first episode. Just really good pacing in general.
Intergang is definitely a Superman staple, and Siobhan is a villain called Silver Banshee. She also clashes with Black Canary often, because of course she would
The Villains are Silver Banshee, Mist, and Rough House. Silver Banshee is a classic B-tier villain usually on the same level as Livewire amongst Superman's rogues. Usually, her powers are natural and she has a more skeletal look. Mist and Rough House are fairly obscure DC villains that have little to do with Superman Interestingly, they refer to themselves as Intergang, who in the comics are an entirely different group led by Bruno 'Ugly' Manheim. They'rea typical mob-like group that notably uses tech from Apokolips to perform their criminal activities. Of the three villains, I believe only Rough House has any comic association with Intergang, being a clone of its original leader
Huh. Thanks for the info. Well, it wouldn't be a DC screen adaptation if it didn't completely change at least one character's deal from the comics, right?
The guy with the gauntlets and silver haired lady are villains from the comics, Rough House is pretty obscure, while Silver Banshee is very different in the comics, she's more supernatural, and the invisible guy is actually the Mist, who's not a Superman villain, rather a Starman villain
I’ve never really been into anything DC related but I’ve gotta say that they’re absolutely destroying it with this series everything they’re doing here is awesome 👏
If you want good DC Content anything animated is good. Especially the DCAU which is the universe with Batman the animated series Justice league and much more. In my opinion the greatest super hero movie ever made is Batman masked of the phantasm, which is set in the DCAU, it does everything right plus having Mark Hamill as joker and the late Kevin Conroy as Batman who voices the character in all other DCAU projects plus the Arkham games.
Yeah those are young version of Superman/DC villains, Silver Banshee (helmet girl) Rough House (Gloves Guy) and Mist (Kyle), they are quite different from other versions for example Silver Banshee scream powers are magic instead of tech based, Mist could literally turn to mist instead of just turning invisible and Rough House was just an abnormally strong minor enforcer for intergang (in the comics an international criminal syndicate instead of just this trio), some people didn’t like this changes or design but I quite like the skull looking helmet for Banshee instead of the skull make up she usually have in the comic’s, anyway this is the first season and there tech was broken so there plenty of opportunities to them to comeback with new powers and looks that are closer to the comics, I believe making all the villains so far tech based instead of jumping to meta-human is pretty deliberate not only because the tech is clearly kryptonian and ties in with the over arching plot, but if this Superman powers are gonna scale anime style until can go full Superman in his prime maybe starting with tech and later introducing metas is good way to make the villains more powerful as well as the series continues Also fun fact Jimmy I think is currently in love with Banshee in the comics so maybe this show will adapt the relationship in the future? That be fun and could give Jimmy opportunity to shine!
