Me my dad and mom went down to the land cut on Friday to stay in a cabin. We were in a 18 ft shallow sport. So we got settled and fished at night under lights with thousands of trout some big some small. Then we went to bed and about 4:00 in the morning the wind is horrendous. we had to move the boat on the opposite of the pier once that was done the wind was too strong to do anything else and then came the rain. That wind and rain was horrible. The waves were big. The cabin had no Windows because they were boarded up. So we couldn’t see. We finally fell asleep and wake about 8 in the morning to check on the boat and it’s half sunken. We had a ice chest in the back of the boat that floated away luckily it was under a cabin. We got lucky that we had 2 neighbors next to us. One of the guys next to us said there were about 60-70 mile hour winds. There was all the acid eating everything up where the wires and battery was. People next is gave us a water pump for all the water. It went for a hour and wasn’t done. So we decided to get a ride in back to Port Mansfield and get it towed by a guy named Roger Guide/boat tower. Now we got to take it to the sportsman.

Aloha from Hawai'i. I agree with ya on the cole slaw (hold the mayo). I like anchovy paste about an inch in my dressing too as well as some fresh garlic. I suggest you use a nice heavy 12" cast iron fry pan or dutch over to deep fry in, much better results than a Teflon pan. Those offshore rigs, they the same ones from last Kingfish trolling videos? I especially enjoy your Bote Rover vids, my style of fishing. Keep up the great work!

Gotta be honest i'm a mayo coleslaw kinda guy, but that stuff looked real good. I'll probably try that next time. I love trying new foods. Also, a combination that surprised me was a dish we served at the restaurant I worked in before all of this. Blackened redfish, creamed corn, and a slow stewed spicy tomato and okra sauce. Sounded kinda weird but when I tried it it was amazing

I went out to SPI Jetties after the storms but I got skunked... whats the secret? Water was all choppy. I threw out AM Lures (red and white), 2 0z spoon, and even tried some pink shrimp fish bites. Everyone was catching hard heads.
Man, you gotta try seasoned croutons ground up for breading. I did it once when I was out of cornmeal and haven't used cornmeal since. Tjat was about 15 yrs ago...lol.

Awesome.. yeah I think I'm goanna hit up the jetties in the morning.. hopefully I can get to the ferry early enough before all these visitors swarm in and it's a 2 hr ferry wait lol
