Feel vs real. You say not to drop your hands down, but in your video, your hands drop almost straight down. Watch it in slow motion. It's difficult to describe the difference between dropping while turning and dropping then turning. Fyi, I do enjoy your videos and what you've overcome. Thanks and keep them coming.

Um...He literally says not to actively drop them down. Dont actively drop or pull your arms down. Not two separate motions. Arm drop is passive due to his body motion. He literally says to keep your hands up while you pressure forward into ground and rotate. You have to watch how you interpret video instruction.

I recently discovered this -- it creates leverage at the right time at or past impact. Whereas an early drop of the hands takes that downward leverage away too early. I like to feel the butt of the grip push out about eye level/trail shoulder level as a feeling and just do some pre-swing pumps from top of backswing and simply pump that butt of the grip away at about the trail shoulder and at about eye level. I love that drill you recommend with the alignment rod under the trail armpit. Some people would say that having the handle push out to the ball-line early would cause the path to move out-to-in .. but I thnk it seems to neutralize the path and get closer to zero degrees. It seem counterintuitive at first.

This is exactly what I needed to see and understand. My last golf lessons were trying to ‘shallow the shaft’ the drop arms piece didn’t work in my head and I would chunk it (a lot), unless i got out of my left side fast (push up and back with left leg). Knowing that trying to get arms/hands down to get the desired is not correct, validates what I was feeling, but I was still left to try and figure out how to do properly. Haven’t been able to do that, but this video gives me something to try. Thanks

Quickly becoming my favourite golf RU-vidr. Can I ask what net you're using please, I'm making a garden setup and like the look of this.

important video for me. i did go to the range with this in mind. i discovered that if i lowered a little in transition (i guess a squat) while keeping everything soft, there was marked improvement. my former fault was too much inside out. hopefully hands out club head behind marries with stable clubface through impact
@Macca-bx6su
@Macca-bx6su Месяц назад
so if my back leg has straightened somewhat in the backswing, is it appropriate to feel a squat in both legs ,perhaps a little more into the left,for that is where the mass is going naturally?

The down move is supposed to help people who slice and it’s merely a thought process to help them stop going outside in by reversing the motion, or so I thought.

Really appreciate the videos and I really like this one 😊. Can you elaborate a bit as I see what you are showing and the drill, but I still don’t get the avoidance of the right shoulder going out causing an over the top move ending up over the line ?? Can you clarify or update as a follow video ? The track man results are impressive with this motion if done right ?

Years ago I had a David Ledbetter laser guide that developed that hand path.

It’s all matchups at the end of the day. Think you have to bow the wrist to help shallow the club if you bring the hands out. If you bow the wrists and drop the club yeah sure you’re going to pull/hook it a mile. I’ll stick to flat wrist and dropping the hands down. I never hit it fat and I get baby draws. It’s all timing and sequencing whatever technique you do at the end of the day.

Wonder if this is similar to the drill where you keep a ball between your forearms to keep them from separating.

Your hand do not go out side of your shoulder line, for my hands to not go past my shoulders like that it feels like my hands go straight down and For ward at the last second, and I can only do that at 20% speed 😫

This is what Stuart Cartwright has been pushing for a long time. You can't get any angle of attack with the goofy "swing inside out" garbage.

Nice to see someone say bs to the dropping of the hands. Which virtually every youtube guru touts.
@jchowngolf
@jchowngolf 23 дня назад
I wouldn’t say it’s bs, it just requires a ton of timing and can easily encourage other faults.
