That’s a good point. That’s why we gone analogue route on our watches to avoid obsolescence. And like a mechanical watch still need a servicing from times to times

I hear you on the obsolescence, but the maintenance of mechanical watches cost starts from $250 for an entry level watch, all the way to $1000 and more, depending on the brand and model. That's like buying a new smart watch every 5 years, hence solving the obsolescence issue :) If you have multiple watches, then the maintenance cost grows proportionally. And that if you can find a decent watchmaker in your area to service it, and the brand still sells parts for the particular model. Otherwise it's all the way to the brand's center, with a waiting time measured in months. So you see, it's pros and cons on both sides.
