The new rift has reduced the amount of players left in T3 later in my matches. When I see them talking about it in the chat then I'll keep an eye on it. I've had them all leave with 20 min still left before the countdown. So I do think it helps move players out of the area for now. The unstable rift is different than the DA. The DA is guaranteed with a sigil where the unstable can be taken anytime it opens. They won't wait till the end to go in.

I don’t know if it was a glitch or not but I went to T3 yesterday and went to do a triangle by the season 3 dark aether and there was probably 50 or more manglers I’m not exaggerating the whole area was filled with them and they just kept on coming it was crazy I had to get out of there 2 other people were there and they died and then left the game

Yes. Same experience yesterday. I used up 8(!) self revives during my game and had to be leaving and returning to T3. I couldn't stay, which I usually have no trouble with
