Kenan, As we enter the New Year, I just wanted to take a moment to recognize your channel and what it has meant to me. I've loved animals and conservation my whole life. Though I admittedly had not considered keeping reptiles and amphibians. That was until over a year ago when I saw a video with you and Fred. My RU-vid feed is now filled with reptile videos. I also now keep several bioactive enclosures and only keep my fish in live planted aquariums. Trying to keep everything the Kenan way and in as naturalistic environments as possible. I enjoy the design almost as much as keeping these remarkable animals. Thank you for everything you do! I was greatly saddened to hear about Fred's passing. Though I don't know either of you, I'm sure that many in the community can relate that it feels like we do in a way. You both inspired me to learning more about reptiles and keeping them in the best way we currently can. I'm happy to hear you'll be continuing his legacy of Crocodile Corner along with his family. Much happiness going into the New Year!

Coolest part about this video was not the knowledge buried inside you 2 guys head...but the sincerety about why you thank a guy for showing you a dangerous snake....no doubt about it this guy has done this day in and out for years and years and he could still be bit and killed for the slightest mistake all cause you wanted to see a snake outside the enclosure...that showed the respect you have for all of us as humans as some of us have a fascination of reptiles as you do but to never forget whether your professional or not these things can be the reason you die...you have educated me more in 15 20 videos then any teacher I ever had in 12 years...I thank you for that man...God bless you and your family and stay safe...please keep making the videos

Not true Kenan!! I’m in between, I appreciate snakes 🐍 but am a lizard girl true and true, not scared of snakes, think they’re all good and everything, just don’t wanna own any. Marks energy is everything!! His passion and how he keeps his critters is so awesome!!! Kenan! You don’t keep enclosures immaculate!! Lol liar! We know the truth dude! We seen those algae pools you call water dishes! Lol Kudos Anne for keeping the snek room tidy!!!

Kenan wow thanks for taking us with you for the private tour how amazing! The gila monsters are adorable lol. I have to mention this though, there are 3 venomous lizards. Komodo dragons are actually venomous also. Just a interesting little tidbit for ya, not trying to be a smarty pants lol! If I can find the documentary I watched a few years back about it I'll tag you on Facebook. It was absolutely fascinating! They did a MRI on a dragon and found venom glands so amazing. Again thank you for taking us with your family on an awesome adventure!

I’m just use to seeing the Mohave Green rattlesnake, and yes they can be a deep forest green to a almost neon green. Kenan let me tell ya the green of them are past amaze in colors I loved seeing them out and about doing their things as long as they stayed out of the house, and out dogs kennel. lol y’all need to travel Arizona all parts from the north went end to the south east. Plus many other beautiful things to see along the way taverns petrified forest you name the area. It has beauty in it, never under estimate that beautiful desert I bet you and Kate and kids would love I mean love havasue landings bluest waters to swim in you have ever seen. Give that a look see on your next adventure. Spring or fall snakes are out then because it’s getting up from their hibernation or going into it so eating to keep their bulk up. lol

I don’t know about the rest of the United States, but here in Texas there is an Urban Legend that the Rattle snakes do not rattle anymore due to the hogs. We have a bad, bad hog infestation in Texas and supposedly when the snakes would rattle the hogs would find them and eat them. So the snakes have learned not to rattle in areas where the hogs are. Supposedly. Have never asked a local Wildlife Biologist this. Stories only coming from ranchers, farmers, hunters, and campers.

20:26 There's no free floating bone in the rattle, the sound comes from rapid vibration of the tail, resulting in the keratin segments connecting making the sound.

As far as copperheads go, My exp, in tx, our family Dachshund, survived copper head bite more then once, first time had her bid ridden for a few days, tho this dog, survived fights with a Rottweiler I think twice, left her scarred after having drainage tubes all over, so might not be the norm. but point is, she weighed about 20 pounds survived a copperhead.
