Brings back memories first sneaker review I ever saw from kickgenius was the Kobe 8.

I remember waking up in 2011 waiting for yall to drop knowledge on some hoop kicks. I modeled my shooting and dribbling after Tre and my attacking and mid range from you Jay. Great timing with this video. I wish the shoe was coming out before I start my school semester, but August 24th is coming up! So we will have a protro of these and potentially a re-release of the other models as well.

These were my favorite hoop shoes ever. I'm glad they're protroing them. Early pics of the protro's also looks like they made improvements, specifically to the tongue. It looks to be a padded tongue now, instead of just the thin fuse tongue back then.

Great review. I feel that way about the lebron 20s Closest interms of looks, performance to a kobe. Copping as much colorways I can. Vanessa renewed the contract but with the resale market you can't get pair for retail or a reasonable price. That's why I'm going ham on these 20s.

I loved hooping in the Kobe 8s back in the day...I did tear my ACL in them though and that was probably partially due to the lunar bottoming out. Could have also happened in any shoe though, was just something I noticed afterwards, pretty big dents in the toe areas

Serious Player One shoes is the closest things to the Kobe8/9s got them in today and tested run them. Feels exactly the same. The default midsoles will fit in the Kobe8s but the support midsole will not.
