The album was called "No Strings Attached." So the dance moves mimic a marionette doll. Which is why they don't criss cross and move their hands in that manor. 😉

Billy I will say this in all these boy bands defense that were under lou Perlman. They had to do the songs they were given (dances, videos, etc) Aaaaand they all managed to make the best of it!! They were all incredible vocalists and put the most efforts into their ballads for the fans.. But all those bands and some others were very limited in what they could do creatively. I give them all props. The pop business was dirty behind the scenes. They all got screwed over in some way or another but they loved the fans regardless!!!!

You should watch some of their live performances. You need to remember that they had to do choreography and dance for hours straight. So it's more impressive when live :)

Hey, I mean, not many people nowadays ACTUALLY dance. So, this is still cool, you know? Anyway, I do agree if some classic videos are not of your likeness (We all know are not just that great). This IMO, though, it's pretty neat. The concept back then was interesting. The whole choreography and dancing it synchronized (5 people) isn't that easy to pull, but they made it look smooth (except for Lance, sometimes). And yet again, they inspired some of the nowadays artists (Like Arianna who even invited them to the Coachella like a few years ago and perform one or two songs with them)

You know things are bad, when you sound like you have been taking lessons from Britney Spears.... Still remember when JT and Nick Carter were so compared. Feel bad for any tone deaf person who thought that JT sang better than Nick Carter in 90s/2000s. Nick Carter had a nasal sound, but at least it wasn't very prominent and damn he could sing and belt from chest with solid hard rock rasp, JT on the other hand... His vocals were incredibly weak, limited and sounded like a parody of Nick and SO whiny.

@@GoneWithTheScript Max was working with others and they didn't sound like Britney during that time. Max gets credit for basically coming up with a pop formula/template with different variations. Listen to the songs "I Will Be There" by Britney on her first album and listen to the acoustic guitars, then listen to "Don't Wanna Lose You Now" by BSB on Millenium and hear those acoustic guitars when they kick in in Brian's verse. Very alike and it's like that in a lot of his songs. Max didn't have anything to do with Brit and JT both having nasally voices - ok, and Nick Carter. It seems encouraged by the vocal coaches and song writers, probably. I still like Max and Rami as producers for early 2000s pop. Check out Slayyyter - there's an early 2000s pop revival happening

@Zenarx Um ok, actually I know her real deep tone it wasn't ruined. It was bad habit over time, the baby sound at times but she did NOT ALWAYS sing like a baby throughout her career. Her voice isn't stuck on baby, dude🤦🏽‍♀️🤭

I still laugh every single time I see Lance's dismayed "That's my box!" when the Fight Troops (I think that's what their boxes say lol) start tossing the boxes and knocking them down. I never would've noticed it except I think Lance pointed it out on Making the Video and from that point on, I always noticed it. Also Joey hitting the shelf with his butt when they rappel down to their boxes which was also pointed out on Making the Video, lol.

yeah and when Joey did that everyone burst out laughing at him but he said he didn't hurt himself so that is a good thing and I also remember in the making of this song the director pulled a prank on Chris by putting him in Joey's box and rigging it so he couldn't get out as easily as the others and he said something like if he couldn't break out of a cardboard box then he couldn't break out of a paper bag and it would make him sound like a wuss LOL
