Angelina had a friend, (she was then 8), while they still lived in Norway, named Avicii, (Swedish), that had become a rather well known performer. He, however, could not handle the stress and strain of the modern music business and so took his own life. Angelina's family was devastated and knew that Angelina's future would hold the same stress. This was written by Baby Fuzz, and he wanted Angelina to sing it. The family had the piece kept secret. It is an amazing piece! It was leaked, and the family has much confidence in Angelina's ability to handle the modern music business. Her contract with Republic Records was such that she was not promoted until mature enough. She turned 18 in January and has graduated from high school. Her EP, "Old Enough," released in Sept 2023, is the sign that she will now be actively promoted. She is the finest female vocalist to ever live. There has never been another with her combination of talents. Our barefoot Princess of a thousand voices, the Queen of Jazz. She is a gift to us all. This great song was written by Baby FuzZ (Brandon Lowry also known as Sterling Fox) who later recorded his own version. We don't know why Angelina's family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a RU-vid video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances.

It may be composed by the person singing it, or by someone else." Baby FuzZ and 3 others wrote this song at a Music Camp. He actually performed the “Cover” that Angelina had already recorded in 2016, at 10. Demo or not, it was published, uploaded, on Nov. 11, 2018. Reportedly, his offical video, published Dec 9, 2018, (two years later) was met with very little fanfare. (After 380 various videos, this remains in my top 10!)
There's controversy surrounding the origins of this performance. The song was written and recorded by BabyFuzz but not released. Somehow, Angelina got hold of it and recorded this version but for some reason it was not released either. Some people speculate that it was because of the implied suicide lyrics, but she sang the Hungarian Suicide Song at 7 for Norway's Got Talent, so make sense of that. The recording was leaked and the video put together by fans from various snippets, which means her version was released first and BabyFuzz released his version later. She was a few days short of 11 when she sang this. From age 10 onwards Angelina has a mature adult voice, and if you didn't know you would assume she was properly grown up instead of a child. Wild!
There is nothing in Gloomy Sunday referring to suicide. It was thought that because of the depressive theme and the war ravaging Europe it would cause people to commit suicide.

However, here are parts of the lyrics which suggests that taking ones own life could be assumed. First verse. "Would they be angry /If I thought of joining you" Second verse. "My heart and I have / Decided to end it all" But as a rebuttal to the suggesting of suicide, we have the words in the Fourth verse. Dreaming / I was only dreaming / I wake, and I find you / Asleep in the deep of / My heart

I think it is more likely that Brandon Lowry, aka Baby FuzZ, recorded it first at the songwriter camp when the song was written. He later explained in an interview in regards what was done at the camp: "The bulk of “I’m Still Holding Out For You” was done at a songwriting camp in Oslo, Norway. I wrote the song with some super talented cowriters Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen." Later in the article he continues: " Finally, early in 2018, I kind of came to the realization that the demo was pretty strong with my vocal. At the point, I went back in on the production and kind of took it over the finish line." So I read this as if they produced a demo at the songwriters camp, that already had his voice on it. He also commented on one of the ISHOFY videos (not sure if it was on his or an Angelina's version) when the comments were still on, that everything on Angelina's track apart from her voice was from their original demo. So according to that it was not Angelina's arrangement. I also never read, that anybody involved said it would be her arrangement. I think that whole idea is just rumor made up by fans.

Angelina worked with his co-writets/producers, which had access to the original demo with his voice on it. They probably played that to get to show her the intentions for the vocal track. PS: here is more of what Baby FuzZ had commented: "Hey! I'm getting lots of messages about this tune so just thought I'd clear the air! So the song was written and produced by me and a few friends in Norway. It was pitched around possibly for another artist to record, and apparently Angelina cut this version around that time (when she was only 10 years old - impressive!). I never heard the demo, though, and we were never approached about her releasing it as far as I know. The song sat for a few years, and then I just decided to put it out with my original demo vocals on. I came across this version after it was out already, and I think it's super cool. She is 10 here, also a fan favorite that people wish her label would buy and she would record officially. It's not a cover. She was asked to perform it as a demo for the author baby fuzz so he could sell it, It never sold. The author actually only performed it once after Angelina did when this "leaked" to protect his copyright. Baby fuzz never asked for it to be taken down. Angelina's family also never asked for it to be taken down despite the mature content.
Well, I remind several videos of this song by Angelina being online for little time before being taken down by YT. For some reason this one stays in its second version, I think survived only after block the comments section.
No, Baby FuzZ did not ask her, he only learned about her version after his was already done. He also commented, that everything except her vocals on Angelina's version where from the orignal demo he did with the co-authors. Those apparently approached Angelina with it (it's the same gruop that did Shield with her around the same timeframe).

One could talk endlessly about this magical performance, and the angels have written paragraphs about it - but to make it short: the song that could have been one of her originals (even if it had have "just" been written for her) the cover that was years before the original was released the forbidden - because stolen - masterpiece dearly loved by her fans the #1 hit that never came to be rumors as to why it wasn't released rumors as to why it was leaked rumors about Baby Fuzz's thoughts on it (he's the songwriter) myths and legends it has everything but first and foremost it’s stunningly beautiful and one can praise it even more after hearing the original. To be honest, credit should also be given to the songwriter who didn't have an easy time creating it. Unable to find a singer for it, he eventually decided to self-release it in order not to let it go unnoticed, but was aware of his limited vocal abilities. Only to find that just a few days earlier, exactly what he was looking for had leaked out - an artist who turned his song into a masterpiece. Because that's what many believe - that would have been a big hit, maybe even number 1 worldwide. And she was still 10. I guess that's why it didn’t happen. Angelina at that time had great success at an acceptable level for a fifth grader. But this song is something completely different - that would have catapulted her to the top, skyrocketed with all that would follow - too much pressure too soon. Ever since the first time I heard this very shortly after it was "leaked" I have had problems with all the theories as to the WHY- why was it not released??? I truly believe the reason is - As soon as Sara heard it she knew that if released everything they had worked so hard to preserve (Angelina having a somewhat normal childhood, school first, stardom when she was old enough to handle it and not allowing her to become "Just another child star with a destroyed life!") would come tumbling down on the whole family! At this point I only have two hopes relating to this song: 1, that Sara's book she has said she is/has written will for once and for all time answer the question "WHY" and 2, that someday, even though Angelina is supposed to have said she will never sing this song again, she will have a change of heart and officially release her version of this great song (great when Angelina sings it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
This is the most professional and most radio-ready performance of Angelina's early career. Oh, what might have been! Truly, though, I'm glad she had her childhood. Thank you, Astar family, for protecting our beloved songbird. This IS the original, by the way. Angelina was supposed to debut it, but things got confusing. Regarding the lyrics, to take one's breath away means to trigger a strong reaction of shock or amazement, and the metaphor of going down to the river and asking God for deliverance is a picture of baptism, not of suicide. It was written by Baby Fuzz, there are a lot of rumors, it's actually her song because she sang it first, but only as a demo. I think it's quite simple, the song would have gone through the roof, and for her 10 years on this song and how she is protected by her family, the hype that followed would have been too early, and as already mentioned, would have been It would have been difficult to release this song without a record deal and only others would have benefited from it. but that's just a guess on my part
You've stumbled upon one of Angelina's best. In 2016 Baby FuzZ wrote this song at an Oslo summer, songwriter workshop, with cowriters, and sent it to Angelina (10 yrs old) to make a demo. The soundtrack demo was never released and Baby FuzZ finally released his video of "I'm Still Holding Out For You" in December 2018, one month after unknown party(s) LEAKED this video to RU-vid. You are wrong, this is not a cover, it is the original, since she was the first to sing it. Angie's fans think that this is one of her best vocals and if it had been released would have charted well. In a nutshell, BabyfuzZ, a well-known and successful song writer wrote this with a few buddies at a songwriting camp. He shopped it around to his clients and got no takers then sent the music and lyrics out to a number of singers to make a demo. His buddies had worked with Angelina so sent it to her too. Ten-year-old Angelina did this rendition, but BabyfuzZ denies ever hearing it and maybe the other singers did not do it. Angelina's version somehow got released on RU-vid a couple of years later but was immediately taken down. BabyfuzZ recorded his version about a month after Angelina's got leaked. It did not do well. A fan kept a copy of hers, though, and produced this video with newer images. It is not clear why Angelina did not release it but the suicide references at the end or copyright issues are suspect. Anyway, Angelina was the first to sing and record this beautifully written song. Is there anything she can't do? (Angelina could not release it since it was a demo and she does not hold the copyright.)
There are photos in the fan made video zfter this was leaked of Angelina up to the age of 12, but she was definately 10 when she cut this demo for baby Fuzz. Her mother did not like these lyrics and around this time suicides were in the news and Angelinas friend Avici committed suicide nog that long after. Angelina says she won't ever perform this. Unfortunately for Baby Fuzz his version is a pale shadow of Angelinas Demo.

Boy, you sure shredded an amazing song into confetti. Why do creators confuse that protocol with "reaction?" I guess they consider themselves the actual star of their video. Convinced the performance of the actual famous artist is just a mediocre side reel to their own amazing performance. It would seem the song is only there to be used and abused on a whim to enhance their own feelings of grandeur.
