they were at a music show, in South Korea they are very important for the groups, every time their new album comes out they have a week of promotions where they perform with the main tracks, for example Twice with More & More at the moment and from tomorrow there will be Stray Kids you reacted to before. There are several groups from various companies that all had a comeback / debut on the same days
Their B side tracks are really really good as well please listen to KICK IT, REALLY, SEE YOU LATER, and DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO also with live performances too. All of their songs are fire and bops. ❤🔥👑
Sammy please react to “Vmin [Jimin and Taehyung/V]moments I think about a lot pt1 and pt2 It’s a BTS ship, they have been best friends since high school and are also called the 95linerz as both of them were born in 1995 Their friendship is the most precious thing on Earth so please please react to it Trust me you’re gonna cry
I've said this before but in kpop when a grp has a comeback they go on music shows to promote their songs where they perform the songs in front of their fans. They are recorded and uploaded on youtube like you saw rn and these shows also have weekly wins. The winner is decided by the amount of online votes, mv streams and the performance streams.
your reactions feels really genuine and i love how u you really pay attention to the details honestly!!! please react to "BLACKPINK - 'SOLO' + '뚜두뚜두(DDU-DU DDU-DU)' + 'FOREVER YOUNG' in 2018 SBS Gayodaejun " it is FIREEE
Will you react to the bday party that was released 13th June as part of Festa 2020? I really want to see you reaction. They recreate their first festa's party and answer some meaningful questions. Love your reactions!
React to Blackpink's Cover of Sure Thing and Loser Cover - You'll Love the harmony. Also react to: Hope Not - Slow song Really Kick It Don't Know what to do
YESSSS Sammy!!! you should react to more LIVE PERFORMANCES!!! some can get blocked so you will have to post them on patreon (if you ever react to more live shows)
I love BLACKPINK, that's actually one of my favorite songs. Please react to my other favorite group SEVENTEEN. I suggest you Getting Closer and Don't wanna cry + the coreography. All their songs are too good, and the group has some of the best vocals in kpop, and their one of the best dancers. Also, they are self-producing idols. You can start with those two songs I just mentioned, You won't regret. By the way, I love your reactions.
I'm not sure if someone already explained how music shows work, so I'm sorry if I'm just re-saying things. In Korea (and really throughout Asia) instead of having concerts at venues or at popular bars and such like they do in the West, idol groups, bands, duos, and soloists come together and perform every day or every other day from anywhere between a week to six weeks on certain music shows. Idols do perform at venues and such like western artists too, but the main source of live stages are the music shows. Music shows are usually produced and managed by certain TV stations, and have unreal budgets which allows them to create visually unique and amazing stages. However, each music show has a certain number of artists they can fit into one shooting, so to be on a music show is very cut throat. Also, depending on how popular your song is also determines your chances on having a spot on said show. For example, if a group were to release a song that hasn't done well on the charts, and say a solo artist released a song that next week that blows up on the charts, more than likely the station will give the groups time slot to the soloist to appease the masses. Not every K-pop artist can just appear on a music show either, said artists must release a song/album in a given amount of time in order to perform with other artists that released music projects around the same time. Not to mention the companies of the artists have to pay a substantial amount of money to get their idols spots on the show. Their are instances where idols can appear again on shows at a later date, however; they usually perform a B-Side track and this situations costs the companies more money. Their is one special occasion where a group (EXID) was invited back by music stations to re-promote their song (Up & Down) due to it skyrocketing up the charts some time after its original release. This has led to more music shows being open to INVITING artists back, rather than having them pay to come back. At the end of every music show their is a voting tally. The voting tally takes in consideration the amount of views said artist's music video has, the amount of physical disc copies sold, the amount of digital downloads, and in person/online voting. Which ever artist wins with the most points wins a trophy, this trophy is very symbolic since most artists who win trophies are usually the ones who are at the top of the popularity food chain, and winning as a rookie artist (someone who hasn't been active very long) can boost your popularity to immense levels. Most idols see winning a trophy as a sort of validation that they have succeeded. Their is also a whole different side to fandom style when it comes to live music shows. The most notable are light sticks that are designed to be specific to a certain group. These light sticks are used to light up an area to show love for artists, as well as to keep in beat with said artists by swaying them back and forth. And, the other being fan chants which are words yelled during certain parts of the song. Typically in the beginning, chants start by chanting the stage names/real names (depends on who it is) of the group members, starting with the leader and then going from oldest to youngest. Later on in the songs other chants can be heard after a certain lyric, this is to add emphasis on said lyric and to add a sort of musical reverb. I think I covered everything, i may have missed a few things but please feel free to add onto the comment!
in South Korea they have a stage for every idols to promote their song and every groups that have comeback in the same time will fight together to get their win, I think they have 6 stages (M Countdown, Music Bank, The Show, Show! Champion, Music Core and Inkigayo)
When Jennie rapped and you could hear more that one voice, it was the backtrack, they always set up a little bit of backtrack on the performances(every group does that) just, that if they dance hard parts, they can rely on the backtrack a little bit, that doesn’t mean, they lip sync, they just sometimes sing/rap over the backtrack, so that it sounds a little bit clearer.
When Jennie is rapping the background vocals (when you said everyone is chipping) is actually the backtrack playing, is usual for kpop groups to have the whole track playing at the back but the volume of the vocal is lowered. This is because choreos are difficult and take a lot of energy/air. However, and as someone said in the comments, you can hear their voices a lot more clearly at their concerts or when they're just sitting and singing. Their cover of Miguel's Sure Thing is a great way to know their live voices completely raw.
On the 26 th black pink is having there come back called how u like that and ( sour candy and in the future rosés solo) Edit: idk if its true its coming on the 26th
