That date seems likely enough that I agree that this might not be another fake leak and that the trailer could come out during that event. Paramount will hopefully have an official trailer for the Sonic 3 movie ready to be released by then.
Here are some possible ideas on why movies with a trailer might consider waiting or expanding their delays on when they're uploading a movie: 1. Building anticipation: By releasing a trailer and then delaying the movie release, studios can create a longer buzz around the film, keeping audiences excited and invested in the project. 2. Marketing strategy: Delaying a movie release can give the marketing team more time to promote the film, create a stronger advertising campaign, and reach a wider audience. 3. Avoiding competition: If multiple big-budget movies are scheduled to release around the same time, a studio might delay their film to avoid direct competition and give their movie a better chance at success. 4. Post-production tweaking: Sometimes, a delay can be beneficial for the filmmakers to fine-tune the editing, visual effects, or sound design, ensuring the final product meets their vision. 5. Award season consideration: Delaying a movie release to the end of the year can make it eligible for the upcoming award season, potentially increasing its chances of winning prestigious awards. 6. Holiday or seasonal tie-in: Studios might delay a movie release to coincide with a specific holiday or season, such as a summer blockbuster or a Christmas-themed film. 7. Franchise spacing: If a movie is part of a larger franchise, studios might delay its release to create a bigger gap between installments, preventing audience fatigue and maintaining interest in the series. 8. Real-world event or anniversary tie-in: Delaying a movie release to coincide with a significant real-world event or anniversary can generate additional publicity and attention. 9. Talent availability: If key cast members have scheduling conflicts or are involved in other projects, a delay might be necessary to accommodate their availability for promotional activities or sequels. 10. Studio priorities: Sometimes, studios prioritize other projects or shift focus to different films, leading to delays in the original release schedule. 11. Budget constraints: If the budget for marketing and distribution is limited, a delay can give the studio time to allocate more resources or find additional funding. 12. Re-shooting or re-editing: In some cases, a delay can be due to the need for re-shooting or re-editing parts of the film to improve its overall quality or address concerns raised during test screenings. 13. Music licensing or copyright issues: Delays can occur if there are issues with music licensing or copyright clearance, which can take time to resolve. 14. Rating or certification disputes: If there are disagreements over a film's rating or certification, a delay might be necessary to resolve these issues and avoid potential controversy. 15. Unforeseen circumstances: Natural disasters, global events, or unexpected setbacks can cause delays in movie releases, as studios may need to adjust their strategies or prioritize more pressing concerns. These are just a few possible reasons why movies with trailers might experience delays in their release. The actual reasons can vary greatly, and sometimes the true cause of a delay might not be publicly disclosed.
Be patient people. The movie is not delayed, it's pretty much done, we just need to play the waiting game. Am I a bit annoyed that there is no trailer, yes, but we will get one eventually before the movie comes out. I'm going to guess later this month, and if I'm wrong, you all have my permission to say I was wrong (don't be an asshole about it).
Social Media is infamous for spoiling content before and after we get theatrical releases, that's why we haven't received any further updates regarding Sonic 3. 😑
1:57 I hate to burst y'all's bubble, but Tyson Hesse himself responded to someone online saying that what's showcased at the CinemaCon was just a handful of shots of the movie, but it was Not an actual trailer. So, the Real trailer might be shown to the public at some point in August or so, cause normally trailers are released about 4 months before the movie comes out. But Paramount will release the trailer whenever it's ready to be released.
According to sources (that i dont remember💀) the film and trailer are fully finished, they’re just taking forever to show us the trailer. I mean, they showed the trailer way back when CinemaCon happened, and movie theaters already are holding onto the trailer, waiting to play it in the previews before other movies. Paramount is just making us wait for no real reason.
Not to mention with the trailer already being shown at CinemaCon, Paramount had the perfect opportunity to release it to the public during ComicCon, Sonic’s birthday, SummerGamesFest, and yet the trailer hasn’t released on ANY of those dates.
Ok what was shown at cinema con back in April wasn’t a trailer they only said that online but it was just shots of sonic the hedgehog 3 being exclusively shown there not publicly released online for everyone to see the Co producer from the movie said so himself but since then fans have not stopped messaging and asking paramount to release it because it’s not ready for release yet so you can see why the trailer wasn’t shown at any events after cinema con like the summer games fest in June or paramount’s other movie in may IF and the most recent san Diego comic con
You guys do realize that the Sonic 2 trailer came out 120 days before the movie itself. It has yet to be 120 days before Sonic 3's release. We're fine, guys. Don't worry.
I watched episode 1 and I loved it. I didn’t go around thinking it was some big lore and arc about the character Knuckles. It was a good comedy with some good writing.
I’m really hoping that Paramount delivers with this movie. Shadow’s my all time and I mean ALL TIME favorite character and is the main reason I still stick with the Sonic franchise. I’ll throw hands if this movie flops.
When you think about it, what Paramount is doing is actually quite brilliant. They're basically letting the movie advertise itself. People are so ravenous for the trailer right now that any time someone makes a video about Sonic 3, people lock onto it. Sonic 3 has captured the attention of moviegoers for over a year, without anyone even knowing what Shadow sounds like. Any time Paramount so much as farts, countless people make videos about it. So far from being in trouble, it is actually impossible to get people to NOT pay attention to Sonic 3. There is literally nothing to worry about (unless the movie is outright canceled, and I don't see that happening at this juncture).
I think the issues are Paramount and its sale might be the culprit for this delay. Idk how they can ramp up marketing for a Christmas release movie when summer is just about over
I think it makes sense of because we saw the mufasa the first trailer The Lion King I think Paramount is still working on the first trailer of Sonic 3 the 2024 I think I go over here and a half it is it might be showing August or December on the we don't know 😕😕 police still looking for it
It just show you a teaser trailer Sonic 3 the hedgehog local Paramount pictures what you say it might be a show another trailer August because someone has some fake Jesus trailer and where is the where is another trailer for Sonic 3 the hedgehog a real teaser trailer cuz it's been a little while in Paramount so you just have to be patient don't worry the movie will be here in December😅
Can we please not refer the 3rd Sonic movie as “Sonic 3” because then if someone’s talking about the movie Sonic 3 that other person is probably gonna think they’re talking about the *game* Sonic 3
Due the lion king prequel coming out the same day as sonic the hedgehog 3 Disney has marketed more on that than paramount marketing sonic the hedgehog 3’s trailer transformers one is the next paramount pictures movie coming out in September/October so it would be fair to release it then
I have a theory on why Sonic 3 trailer is getting DELAYED Here's my theory.... The reason on why the trailer getting delayed could be that Paramount is probably looking for a guy to REPLACE james marsden(who plays Donut Lord in Paramount's Sonic Movies) in Sonic Movie 3 due to James' Support Letter to Brian Peck(Who sexually assaulted a 15 year old actor for Nickelodeon). They probably wouldn't someone who has done THIS disgusting in Kids movies or any of their movies AT ALL, so they might want to REMOVE him and NOT want to associate with him in any way possible My theory could be proven wrong but it's probably the most reasonable explanation at this point
Chill guys, they'll release the trailer once Sonic Generations X Shadow is out. It's not a coincidence that the game and the movie are being released 2 months away from each other
In all honesty. I'd rather this then a bunch of trailers that make it stupidly easy to piece togther how exactly the movie is gonna play out. I know it's based off of an already existing game but any surprises that should remain hidden would just get revealed in trailers now a days so I prefer for them to remain silent for a good chunk of it. R.I.P to the movies marketing though.
Don’t worry it’s not delayed. Currently they’re probably adding the finishing touches, that’s all hopefully we get to see some Sonic 3 info during GamesCom. If the movie was really delayed the director should’ve said so or anyone who’s been working for the movie,a similar thing was said by someone last year, but I remember the director replying to the message “The movie will be released 20th December 2024.”,that’s what he said. And there’s plenty of proof that the movie ISN’T GOING TO BE DELAYED,and that is for example on the merchandise box, that is in Target, it said: “Only in theaters this DECEMBER”. Unfortunately the tweet made by the director, that was posted 1 year ago is unavailable. I just don’t understand why people like to spread misinformation.
THE SONIC 3 TRAILER DOESN'T EXIST AND SONIC 3 MOVIE DOESN'T EXIST WE HAVE LITERALLY GOTTEN TRAILERS FOR EVERY MOVIE FOR EVERY SINGLE MOVIE THAT HAS GOTTEN THAT HAS COME OUT THIS YEAR INCLUDING MUFASA THE LION KING THE MOVIE NOBODY'S GOING TO SEE BUT WE STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN A TRAILER, PROMO, COMMERCIAL, OR ANYTHING THAT PROVES THIS MOVIE IS REAL
