I had a crush on this boy in 8th and 9th grade, we shared the same music taste, he would let me braid his hair and then get really shy about it, he would compliment me about my hobbies, etc. I was bummed when he got a girlfriend in 9th grade. They lasted about a month and we did not interact for a few months after that. But on a random April day, we talked a bit. I can remember it very clearly, I playfully tried on his glasses and posed, asking him if they fit me. I was convinced he only saw me as a friend but he gave me the warmest smile ever and said they do fit me nicely. I blushed and gave them back. The same day he was using his phone as a speaker and gave it to me so I can play the songs I liked. When another guy came and tried to change the music he was so annoyed :) He changed schools that year, and we never spoke again. He was one of my real crushes, who made me blush and giggle and gave me so many butterflies. I don't know if I have feelings for him anymore, but I am happy with myself, so the calm ending of the song really reflected that. I hope he's happy too :)

Oh there was this boy. We were absolute sweethearts from childhood. I remember it was the first day of school and little me was crying and he came to talk to me. After that , he was my only friend for very lomg. My mum usually picked me up late from school so he used to accompany me until his father came to pick him up and if my mother hasnt showed up yet, he used to tell his father to stop amd wait until my mother arrives. We were 5yo kids. But after a few years, something happened and we stopped talking. But then in 8th grade, we had same classes and we eventually started talking again. I loved singing amd he loved singing too. We were both in the school choir. Whenever there used to be any celebrations, we used to go to the choir practice together just for him to not show up on the main day. It anmpyed me but also made me realize that he's not interested in choir but me. He used to skip all those classes just to be with me. We even sung together infront of the whole class once. We were absolute sweethearts commected by songs..we usually used to handsign across the class to talk to each other. Oh we were soo young and he liked me so so much..i did too but i was too young to understand. I am now away from my hometown for studies..Now that i think of it, i wish i could still talk to him somehow. This kind of innocent love is so precious..he always dropped obvious signs that he likes me but me being so dumb:") i liked him too oh lord..i remember once i asked him who his crush is and he said "look in my eyes. You'll see her in my eyes" (we were only 12 at that time domt judge) 😭oh how i miss those times..

I’m having so much fun reading all these comments! It makes me appreciate just how sweet young love truly is. Though I see a lot of people saying their stories are “cringe”. I really don’t agree. I personally believe saying the word “cringe” is cringe in itself. I don’t think we should avoid saying sappy things. People are allowed to be happy! Maybe it’s because I’m also young, or I have never had a real crush yet, but I think reminiscing about old times, the innocent, blissful, carefree days, is a wonderful thing. I’m 15, thought I was in love for the first time a few months ago. I knew that he didn’t have feelings for me, but I was still getting mixed signals. He let me draw on his hands, and would life me up and spin me like in movies. And there were a couple times when we were bored in gym class and he would just lay down in my lap. But as I expected, it didn’t work out. I realized he didn’t care about me at all… even as a friend. So I stopped reaching out to him. We didn’t talk for months… then he reached out to me again, at first just as a friend. He realized that he hadn’t been the best to me, and apologized for everything. I forgave him and we started talking again. This whole time I had been wondering if my feelings for him were still there. After about a week… he told me that he had feelings for me. That he “forgot what teenage love was like” (a phrase that had been stuck in my head since…) and that the way I had felt about him, and always talked to him, was that. He had been chasing someone who he had no chance with, and finally stopped. I needed time to think, and asked him for that. The whole time he was respectful and understanding of me and of the fact that it was a shock to me. But he didn’t abandon me. We kept talking, and I finally came to terms with my feelings. I feel like it’s important to say that he is a grade above me (freshman and sophomore at the time) and we almost never saw each other during the school day. So all of this “talking” was over text. And at the time that I finally figured things out, it was the last day of school, and I got to spend time with him and another friend in person for the first time in weeks. I definitely have feelings for him. He definitely has feelings for me. We both know it, and we’re both utterly lost there. But we know it, and it makes us happy. It’s funny, because the whole time we were going through this, I was telling my best friend (who goes to a different school) everything and asking her for advice. More than advice, though, I was just also sharing the story with her. She didn’t have much advice on guys as well (since she’s a lesbian…). But I think she just enjoyed following this great story. I’m still in yeh middle of it, but that’s my irl highschool friends to lovers romance so far… EDIT: we didn’t work. He’s dating my best friend. It’s alright though, I got over him a while ago, and I’m happy for them. :) (if you bothered to read all this… I’m honestly impressed. Thanks… I’ll update as more happens… also, if you hadn’t figured it out by now, I like writing, it’s a good way to deal with my thoughts and emotions :))

Haha, I remember being a fourteen something year old and cringing at the relationships that teens around me had. I firmly used to believe that love doesn’t happen at a very young age and it’s all simply infatuation, until it happened to me. i def had crushes before and may i add crushes that lasted 2-3 years but this one was different. The rush was out of this world. Him and i would stay up whole night talking to each other, i was spending 25 hours out of the 24 hour day just on call with him. I vividly remember this one time i was on a walk while on a call with him, and he made me laugh so hard that I had to literally sit down on the pavement or else i feared I’d faint for how hard i was laughing. Weeks, months and years passed and the rush only intensified. It wasn’t even butterflies at this point, i felt at utter peace when i talked to him. I felt this intense connection with him, as if i had met him before, as if i knew him more than i knew myself. Sounds strange, but it was as if he was me and i was him. It is still one of the most cherished experience I have had till date, it was absolutely ecstatic for the few years it lasted. young love is so pure and innocent. This surely does take me back to when i was 14 and in love for the first time. I remember being so sad and helpless when we fell apart after years of togetherness, but what I wouldn’t give just to feel those butterflies and rush for the first time again. I really hope he’s doing well now.

This definitely hits some teen years nerve. Music like this was mainstream and everyone listened to it, so this brings me some memories. Makes me think of a special relationship I had a couple years ago. I was past my teen years but this tune was the feeling I was feeling back then. I was waiting in line to get some food and this girl and her friend bumped into me. As I turned to say excuse me, I looked at her and was hooked right away. I could tell she was too. My God she was beautiful. We hit it off that instant. We were both from different states and happened to met right there and then, on the only day we were there. Life wanted us there. Our friends got together to hang out and we started to get along sooo freaking well. We would occasionally catch one staring at the other and we would “accidentally” bump into each other and grab each other’s hands for a split second. By the end of the day, we all decided to go to this house to eat s’mores over a campfire and play guitar and sing. We were so close to each other and I was so nervous and felt like my stomach was doing backflips. It was late and my friends and I had a long drive back but unfortunately neither me or her could muster up the courage to do something about our chemistry. I kissed her goodbye on the cheek and went to the car. As soon as I got there, my friends were all looking at me and saying “what are you doing? Go back there!”. I don’t know what happened to my lack of courage but I just ran back out, yelled out her name and she turned. As soon as I got to her, I got really close and said “I can’t leave us like this”, and I kissed her. My God I was on cloud nine. We dated for a couple months and it was just perfect. Unfortunately, life happened and we couldn’t stay together anymore. Today she’s married and happy. Many years passed but I do know one thing: I will never ever forget her and what we had. I was fortunate enough to live something like that. She was and always will be the love of my life, and I know for a fact that I am hers too.
