As you know cars are getting harder to work on yourself. It's not like 20-30 years ago. You have given me more confidence to fix some of the things normally wouldn't attempt. Thanks a lot Scotty.
I’m 17 years old and have never paid a mechanic a dollar to repair my car thanks to you Scotty 👌🏽. I have a 2000 Toyota Celica. It was complete trash when I got it but I’m broke and need something reliable. Anyways I got it and changed my serpentine belt, valve cover gasket, a coil, spark plugs, oil& oil filter, fuses, tail lights, and brake drums. I changed the ventilation hose & gas cap on my own. Only time I paid for someone to help was to weld a new catallic converter(100$) and for someone to change my tires(80$) . It now runs like brand new at 242,000 miles and I’m going to paint it soon ! Will change the coolant, brake fluid, and air filter soon ! Saved me hundreds of dollars

Scott's aiming is terrible, however his wisdom is on the target.
White lithium grease is terrible, it gets everywhere you don't want it and never flows where'it's needed. Stopped using it years ago. There are better options. Plus it doesn't last long nor work that well. Done with it.
@@sheiladawg1664 The point is that it doesn't flow so that it stays in place and doesn't all flow away, allows for it to be effective for longer. Other lubricants are better if you're trying to just spray a general area
@@savaros1 It's hardly effective if it doesn't get where it needs to be. You spray the outside of a squeaky hinge, it stays right there, on the outside of the hinge. As an assembly lube maybe so but you don't buy assembly lube in spray cans with spray tubes, it's not the intended purpose.
I have been watching you for a while you are an honest genius and I love watching your show you’ve helped me out a lot I just wish there were more people like you in the world
I appreciate how Scotty offers a mix of hands-on maintenance/repair demonstrations and Q&A videos. Loads of helpful information and straightforward honesty.
Thank you, got some white lithium for my patio door, had used some special lube from when I used to work on copiers but it's almost gone. Will get some silicone for my car windows.
WD is too lightweight for stuff like that. Use Pennzoil, it's been quality tested and used in the most extreme conditions. To give them Maximum protection.
Scotty, I just purchased a 1998 Toyota 4Runner (223k) that has been well maintained and your videos have made me aware of routine things I can do to get another 200k or more out of her. Thanks!
Have you tried the special fuel suppliers, with alternate fuels that are "green", for that relaxed feeling? Your exhaust might smoke a little for a short while, but you will be so relaxed and chilled out.
Great channel! I have been taking care of my car so much better with your tips! Much appreciated! Thank you for your videos! My high interest in maintaining and fixing my car has grown so much!
Thanks for the detailed video on some of the sprays you use Scotty. I've seen you mention others in some of your other videos and I'd love to see you make a long video (or several smaller ones) that explains ALL the sprays, lubricants, and stuff like that that you use for different things. Thanks! Love your detailed videos. I could use a set of all these sprays you showed. :)
I watched your video regarding the AT205. I had a small oil leak near my crank shaft. I used it with my oil change and within three days, no more leak!
I see you use walls and poles as bump stops then. Could be worse, there was a place selling "reconditioned" brake pads, where the reconditioning was to glue cardboard to the old pads, and give them a coat of black spray paint.
