In this Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay news update video we breakdown the reputation system in Star Wars Outlaws and why it is a game changer for the gameplay experience in the game! Last video, we broke down the brand new “Meet The Planets” Star Wars Outlaws gameplay trailer and discuss why Cantonica was not included in the gameplay trailer even though it is a confirmed location in the game. In a recent video, we discussed some disappointing new details about the wanted system in Star Wars Outlaws and our experience with the wanted system during our hands on preview of playing Star Wars Outlaws!
Recently, we had a first impressions and hands on preview news update where we revealed brand new Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay and provided our first impressions and hands on preview for Star Wars Outlaws! In that video we discussed the open world gameplay, customization, reputation system, side missions, syndicates, combat and stealth gameplay, and much more! We also discussed how this Star Wars Outlaws gameplay compares to the Star Wars Outlaws IGN First Tatooine open world gameplay.
Last month, we discussed an interview with Julian Gerighty that provided us with a ton of new Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay, reputation, and story details! A few weeks ago we did a breakdown & walkthrough of brand new early access Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay. This Star Wars Outlaws gameplay gave us a great look at blaster combat, stealth, space combat, open world exploration, Kijimi, and main story details! Last month, we broke down the Star Wars Outlaws gameplay trailer that was released at the Summer Game Fest. This trailer gave us a great look at Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay, planets, and even confirmed that Lando Calrissian will be in the game!
Star Wars Outlaws is the upcoming Ubisoft Star Wars Open World game made by Massive Entertainment. The Star Wars Outlaws release date is currently set for August 30, 2024 on PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi where players will become Kay Vess, a clever scoundrel in the galactic underworld. The article from Star Wars states that the Star Wars Outlaws story will feature Kay “looking to attempt one of the biggest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen, all in an effort to start an new life”. Although Star Wars Outlaws is a new & original single player story with exciting new characters, we still got some familiar Star Wars planets & characters in the new trailer. This includes: Han Solo frozen in carbonite, Jabba the Hutt, Crimson Dawn, Pyke Syndicate, Canto Bight, Cantonica (The Last Jedi), Tatooine, & Kijimi (The Rise of Skywalker).
Needless to say we are INCREDIBLY excited for this game and can’t wait for more Star Wars Outlaws gameplay, trailers, story details, and news updates to breakdown and analyze on the channel! We have partnered with Ubisoft to produce this content.

I'm surprised the reputation system hasn't been talked about much until now because the developer's have mentioned multiple times that they built the game around the reputation system meaning the reputation system has to be really in depth otherwise this game wouldn't work. Most other games used reputation type systems as an after thought where as this game uses it as the base with everything else connected to it

we’re just one week from launch and i couldn’t be more excited for this game. Sure, it might not be a 11/10 masterpiece that everybody seems to only accept nowadays, but it looks like a super immersive and interesting eperience that any star wars fan could fall for and for me, that’s definitely enought to be super stoked. Thank you guys so much for getting us info about the game and building up some excitement instead of the criticism everybody else has. I unfortunately didn’t watch the last few videos because i wanna discover the games systems by myself, but thank you for all the videos you have made about this game!! I look forward to playing it almost as much as i’ve been looking forward to every one of your videos about it :D

I wonder if you can tackle one faction at a time. For example, get in really good with the Hutts and get all the vendor goods and any other perks. Then make up with the Pikes by running their missions. Then a tactic is how to progress through them to get all the best loot as cheap as possible. Not sure if I like this or not though, I think everything going in parallel helps with multiple playthroughs.

I think the faction theming and System are so refreshing for a start. Good animations , good visuals, amazing vistas , not trying to rip the movies but playing your own immersive movie.

Every channel I've seen is either bashing the game or getting paid off by Ubisoft to basically advertise it. You're the only channel I've seen who's actually being honest about the game. I'm glad to see somebody else who's genuinely excited for it, was beginning to think I was the only one XD

Great job of tag teaming the ins and outs of the reputation system in this game. I can only hope that you guys aren't shills for Massive and Ubisoft. I hope that what y'all are saying isn't fed to you by Ubisoft as "talking points" or that you had "access" that skews your actual opinion... It's hard to get a real, honest video anymore when RU-vidrs or media are "influenced" by the companies that give said access. Good job! Hope I'm not wrong about this channel

We obviously can’t prove anything but everything we said is based off our own few hour hands on preview with the game. No one has ever provided us with talking points or told us to say anything or asked us to do anything. We are currently working on our full review of the game and we will share everything both good and bad. Some people won’t believe us, but we are nothing but honest with how we feel about things. We are excited about what this game can be and we hope we are right. If not, then we will acknowledge that and keep on moving forward.

What happens if you damage your rep with a cartel... can you do things later to get back into good graces? i.e., you go down a path, then screw over one to re-build with another? This feels like a way to open up the entire game over time. Yes? No?

Definitely the main effects are on “loot” but there are missions where you get to pick the outcome based on a rep choice.

I’m 99% sure massive has said that you can’t be in Max positive rep with all syndicates at the same time, it was only 1 at the time, but you can get all 4 outfits for kay form the syndicates. The reputation system is “living” and you wil never be locked away form anything all you need to do is to Come back later with a better hutt reputation to get to that area, or a High crimson dawn rep, to go there etc. The reputation system will not change any major story plot of the game only some minor stuff like you talk about in this video

All we can guarantee to you is that our review next week will be our complete and honest opinion about the game (graphics, performance, story, gameplay, etc) whether positive or negative. We believe in our integrity and we are never trying to “buy” favor with any of these studios. There will be a ton of people who disagree with what we have to say I’m sure, but at the end of the day we can only tell you how we perceive this game and our opinions on it (which will be different for everyone)

There’s some sort of shock stick that can do takedowns, but we’ve only seen it in one trailer. Hopefully we can use it for every takedown

Been standing by for this, can’t wait for release!!! However, for some reason I don’t think these maps are going to be that vast or gameplay as open as we’re hoping. You guys are doing a great job 👏🏽 trying to sell it as such, but I’m just not sold. I mean, I’ll bet these guys can’t answer this question: Are the maps as huge and open as RDR2? The answer to this one question will let us know how deep this game is.

Yeah I want to be excited for games, but look at the website... $130 for the full experience... and $70 for a gutted version of it... I loved Black flag back in the day, was excited for Skull and Bones... lol that game is a Huge Turd... its hard to get excited for ANY Ubisoft title these days. The attempt to try and turn women into men in so many of these games lately has gotten out of control. I find myself regularly rolling my eyes and forcing myself to suspend disbelief. I’m still playing this at launch.
