since you enjoy her writing so much you should look up the extra stuff when the anime ends after season 2. she has extra mini comics between some chapters, extra lore, and an adventure bible that gives a lot more detail about some of the characters.
presumably delgal the “his majesty” is the same as the king from the very beginning, when the dungeon first appeared, in which case his ass is grass like six years ago (though that could always wave been a descendent in which case the “find delgal” quest is even more of a lost cause)
I can already tell whatever this elf backstory is, and whatever the backstory is for the fall of this kingdom he’ll have my empathy but not my sympathy he needs to go
