Your old 'Tanks that should be added to War Thunder' videos were always something I'd watch to see what Gaijin seemingly will not add because they're too focused on top-tier to care about WWII vehicles anymore. I'd love to see another one in the future, as there's still thousands of vehicles out there to be pondered on.
I second this but for cold war vehicles instead of WWII, there's got to be a whole bunch of whacky bullshit we haven't seen from secondary powers during the 60s-70s
Speaking about the Japanese 47mm, for the longest time I've been saying how strong the Chi-Ha Kai is at 2.3. Insane gun, great reload, stabilized, 12 degrees of gun depression, meh armor, but good mobility.
The Ka-Chi's survivability comes down to the pontoons acting as spaced armour, as well as there is a pressurized tube inside the hull which houses the crew, which also acts as spaced armour. Then there's the sheer number of crew which can make this thing a menace to kill sometimes.
I remember the glitch when this thing would warp and 50 metre tall towers grew off of it. Could you make a video about historical inaccuracies at top tier? I see loads of people talking about the M1A2 SEP missing armour.
Or the BMP 2M getting equipment that it doesn't have after being moved from top tier. Modern Russian tanks getting far more than they should and being treated far better than most other tanks. Meanwhile the American tanks/vehicles being treated as inferior in general as they strip a lot of features from them. There's also the Swedish jets where they got rid of the tracers since the Swedish use a tracking radar to fire. Though guess what Gajim didn't give them that other nations have.
I was blessed by the snail and received this from the ice cream SL boxes, it's brilliant fun. Playing it on Tunisia and camping the enemy-side bridge at C from the water is hilarious.
The Ka=Chi also served in the Australian army, in the Pacific theatre. They had more than 20 captured Ka-Chi tank and operated them with the pontoons removed. Many photographs exist of this tank in Australian markings.
Imma keep it real with you, I don't even play war thunder anymore (for a multitude of reasons) but you are the rare WT channel I stayed subbed to. Your videos are plain enjoyable.
I'd love to see a video on the SK-105 Kuirasser (which is an austrian tank in the french tech tree). It's also the only actual tank operated by the brazilian marines
My favorite part about this thing is that the pontoon on the front (not sure about the rear) will also stop most heat shells because of how much internal space it has too.
Yeah, it seems the Ka-Chi is quite good for it's BR. If I could suggest another Japanese tank, it would probably be the Chi-Tos, I found them quite fun. (Day 1)
I saw a squadron of these try to cross the lake on Poland, so naturally I tried to join them with my LVT. We got halfway across before anyone started shooting at us, and returning fire was impossible due to how bumpy it was but I was cackling the entire time
i remember when the Char 2c came out, ground battles were basically naval battles for a good couple days with these two tanks going up against each other
Hey Spook, you should play the Semovente 75/46 M43. It's a deeply overshadowed italian tank destroyer which can deliver an heavy punch but it's deeply ignored the potential it has. I am not gonna surrender in proposing this. (Day 96)
Honestly kinda fun terrorising matches with this thing. Anyway, (day 31 asking) you should try the Japanese STA1/2/3/Type 61 (they're all kinda the same), decent mobility, good gun and great sight magnification makes them pretty fun to play.
This monster's so much fun, though I've noticed in Poland that the water is ridiculously violent to it. Edit: Just played a match and ended with a 18-0 run in this monster.
6:30 SU-76 engine being loud reminds me of something.... If I had a nickel for every time I died because I thought I heard an enemy chopper but it was actually a BMP, I'd have two nickels - which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
I think they should make the pontunes destructible, maybe not from AP or APHE, but give it a good couple of hits from HE or HEAT, especially the larger ones, and those things will only save you like once or twice before they vaporize
I mean, It's 2.0, still has 50mm of frontal armor, a crew of 7, a fairly decent gun with a good reload and shoulder stabilizer. I think it would be fair if a couple AP or APHE rounds eventually blew the pontoons off with HE/HEAT taking fewer. Plus it's an event vehicle so it's probably going to be in the hands of decent players.
You see spookston plays this and he gets shot 10 times before any serious damage is inflicted upon him but If I were to play it some clown would one shot me with a 50 cal from all the way across the map.
Would love to see the Ta-Se, it is my current favorite lowtier AA that is actually a TD. It fits into my Ka-Chi Lineup and it's AA capabilities are beautiful with the full HE belt
Spookston you should play the Type-61 or STA-3. Very mobile medium tanks with a decent enough gun, I find them great for flanking and surprising people!
Bold of you to assume that Gaijin knows how sound engines work in the first place. These are the same people that have "fixed" vehicles not making noise like 17 times in the last year...meanwhile I STILL get killed by Tiger 2s 50 feet behind me making no noise.
Ta-se at 1.7 is an absolute nutter, best low tier autocannon, very nimble, and decent armor for what it is. But you have good taste so im sure you have played it already.
What's funny is irl these tanks were designed to detatch the pontoons once ashore using a lever inside the tank, but allegedly crews would retain them for the additional protection.
I think this is the first time where I don't actually blame the guy for getting CAS, cause this thing is broken. XD I'll give him credit for at least trying with a few other tanks before grabbing the bomber.
this tank is obscene in enlisted not only because it's got 5000 crewmen and the pontoons absorb shells and 37mm AP isn't exactly too scary but because you can just dismount and have 87 bootleg assaulters rushing around
The ARL-44 still needs some love, funny spooky dog man! The 90mm gun is always a good time, especially when Jumbos and Tigers get too confident and think they can block a shot from it (they can't)
6:50 speaking of engines, ever since the new update dropped i cant hear myself even fucking think when there's a teammate even as close as 15-20m to me and i do not know why
