This is one of my best performing tier 8 tanks. You need to play it as a front line clip deliverer. You pull up to a ridge and use your excellent gun depression and slim turret to unload a full clip at close range, then fall back to reload, rinse, and repeat. It requires very little skill or thought. This of course heavily depends on having enough teamates on a flank to hold while you reload.

Hey, saw your channel a few days ago and instantly knew it was the WOT channel I needed to follow. I followed big channel before but always was annoyed on how it was "profesionnal" in a way, like "Hey guys, its *name* welcome to this video ..." and so on. I dont think anyone has ever called the gsor bad. It has a wacky playstyle that punishes tryharding, but rewards being by a little wreckless. Its a fun tank.

This is more like a tier 8 TL-7. I ended up with the exact same final build as you used, on the TL-7 but with a turbo directive. It is a great ambush tank, but you cannot let yourself get isolated. You have to pick someone who you can kill in 3 shots, that is alone, and then yolo them. It is more of a tank to let off steam in, than trying to keep your WN8 up

love my gsor 1008 reload a bitch but fun to play for me

Late to the vid but i run cope device+irm and vents and avrage 3k a game maybe a cope equpment but actully helps hit 4/4 so might be worth a try in the futre(if you play it in the futre)

in the fast games nowadays, the clip reload is just too long. The tank isn't bad.

If this tank had one more shot it could once clip quiet a few T8 heavys. However atm its for me a love and hate relationship

What mod are you using that shows the Spotting and Tracking assistance as individual stats? (Your mod list/settings video being like a year old now doesn't show this)

Cut the reload down by 10 seconds, increase the intra-clip from 2s to 2.3s and buff the dispersion on turning & moving from 0.30 to 0.25

The best thing in this tank is that the first time it was offered by WG, it was one of the four possible tier 8 premium vehicles in the loot boxes during Christmas 2020. I know because I got it in that way. You know, there was some epidemics out there, I was more than 500 km away from my family, it was a dark night and I was very confused. So I went the whole WG Christmas experience. And I was lucky. Yes, I really mean it: I was lucky to get the GSOR-1008. Because I could have got the ISU-152K. 😱

the biggest set down is it's dpm being lower than any tier 8 td, med, or even heavy, but other than that and the reload the tank is pretty fun

I got bounty vents, aiming, and a t2 experimental turbo on mine. It's my highest wr tier 8. I play it like a support medium most of the time. Drop 4 shots, fall back and possibly relocate while reloading. Got a long time to plan your next 4 shots lol.

I like using bounty aiming unit on the Obj 703 II. It has enough stabilization that I don't need stabs.

I have the same trouble with my TL 7 reloading is a big problem.

Why not use bonded since you've already equipped it with it and it costs you nothing to keep it that way and after you finish the session demount it?

I always liked gsor 1008 but i do enjoy most autoloader tanks. The burst potential is good and its almost medium tank. Its also pretty heavy and it will ram medium tanks quite nicely. Astron rex is almost as good as burrasque. If you want a gsor comparison just look at tl7

GSOR never really look interesting to me for as long as it has been in the game. That was until I gave it a try as a rental vehicle. Now I just love it. I even managed to ace it during the rental period. The gun is shit when you try to shoot right after moving, but sitting still for a moment waiting for a target to appear and then smack it up to 4 times for 320 is really fun. The gold rounds is where is thing really shines tho. So much more pen and more importantly way more better shell speed. I also feel I hit a lot more shots when clipping compared to other autoloader tanks. hitting 3 out 4 comes easy even had many 4 out of 4 hits. Another downside is of course long reload, but it's quite fast so relocating is not a problem. Same with the Aston Rex. On paper it was meh, but once I played it was really fun to play. It has a decent amount of armor and still decent mobile. Base pen is only 190 so quite bad and only works on lower tiers. It also doesn't have a lot of ammo 30 shells out the top of my head. So you really are kind of forced to take a lot of gold shells or run the risk of being mostly useless against hvy armored target.

Got this tank back during the emerald boxes recently, i have a love hate relationship with this tank, sometimes it feels like grille 15, even at fully aimed the damn shell just goes god knows where. But once u do get that one game where all of your shots simply hits, i always have a mini orgasm. But, imho, the tank is very situational, if ur team is just a bunch of apes on a keyboard, you are pretty much fucked, u can do 4k or 5k dmg, but the 40 sec reload just ends your entire wot career. I play this tank as, well a hybird depending on the situation, sometimes I'd be an actual td, sniping and annoying tf out of the enemies. And sometimes I'd be backline medium, I'd just wait for a lone tank to shoot its shot at my teammate(sorry teammates, y'all are my meat shields so i can have some HD to trade late game) and i just swoop in drop an entire clip, and gone to the other flank while reloading, rinse and repead, it got decent speed to move between flanks, and so far playing as a backline medium do better for me than being a TD(Rng always troll me) It can feel clunky at time(purely due to the reload time) but once u get it going, it's super fun to just literally, pee on ur enemy for ~1,2k dmg

Your reaction on Himmel was priceless! :D Two seconds between the shots is very good nowadays. I like TDs, so GSOR 1008 is OK. Astron Rex is harder to play... GSOR is a TD. So sit still in a bush and just move the turret.

I don't see a difference between 40 sec and 40 sec reload time. This tank is a real beast! I'm sorry you don't like it. Let's say you don't play well with him, because you don't like him by default and you don't give your best in this case. It is among the first 3 tanks that I like!

I'd rather play the GSOR in most situations. The Astrons gun is garbage and you HAVE to only load premium, partly to make hitting and penning anything easier but also because it has so few shells. The GSOR's gun isn't great either but I'd rather hit 2 out of 4 than one out of five and it has better armour, not reliable but it trolls pretty hard.

If i remember it correctly you have to aim fully with british tanks. aim needs longer then reloading, try a gun laying drive.

Bought the last green boxes and got this tank. Would have never bought him otherwise. It’s now one of my favorites. Fast intraclip and the dmg potential makes it fun for me.
