I love this team!! It reminds me of a team created by another one of my favourite RU-vidrs: WeedleTwineedle. You should totally try out one of their teams! :)
I just think long form videos like this are perfect for vgc. It’s nice to hear the turns thought out and just see how deep the game can be in a backseat view. Thanks for loving the game dude, you make it easier for others to love the game.
I love how this looks like a normal team in team preview and then the flutter mane pulls up with power anklet and trick room. The amount of times people have protected on flutter mane lead expecting a moonblast while I went for trick room is kind of amazing
Lol what a team idea, I love these concepts for the best of 1 format, playing conventional mons with unconventional sets really throws people for a loop. Also gotta love Aarons little evil laugh every time his opponent makes the wrong call lol. Will def try this one out
This is one of the greatest videos of vgc ive ever seen, paired with the "if i loose the video ends" special zekrom video, congrats cybertron you did it again
If anyone is interested, the way Aaron says “alright” at the start of game 1 and game 2 are very similar. Using the chapter functionality will make this easy to notice. Besides “hey guys it’s Aaron cybertron Zheng” I feel there are many other staple lines of this series that have yet to been separated out and appreciated.
Hey Aaron! It's Metarizard (we played our first game of the season). I thought I was in a pretty good spot after turn 1 but the Weakness Policy RM + Tera Ground EQ strategy got me completely off guard (expected the RM to be Clear Amulet lol)! Such a fun team!
if anyone wants to try the dragonite/dozo/glimmora team mentioned in the weakness section, it was the storm drain tatsu team featured in one of james baek’s recent videos aaron, my heart pounded from the second i saw your name appear and i don’t know if i managed to exhale until after the game. getting to play you was a blast and a dream come true :D
Aaron: “I feel like the meta game just moved so quickly recently” Dude is literally sitting here with eject pack wo chien and power anklet flutter mane
Time for a live slug reaction. Some really hype mons on this team! 🤠 This video was legit sooo good. Smacking them perfectly in the first three games. You couldn't have scripted it more perfectly! Really excited to try this 👀
Ran into this rental just now with the vivillion snow team you featured a couple of days ago. Glad I knew that it's a trick room team, as annhiliape shut down flutter mane completely with a faster taunt and roseli berry
This team is so cool! I love it when you utilize unique combinations and usually not used mons into competitive mons! Any chance you’ll do a symbiosis strategies? Id love to see you create interesting combinations!
Just played against someone using this team, and thanks to watching your vid, t1 I taunted flutter and protected leaf storm. Thank you for that win lol
i love me some jumpluff! i used it against my sister and her boyfriend last night and they were not having it💀💀as always, incredible playing from you and of course your opponents in some matches! keep up the great work man🥳
This team reminds me that Pokemon needs to add one of two things 1) A move called headwind that can be used on either side of the field reducing speed of that side by 25%, but if tailwind is up or used speed will return to normal. 2) a Signature ability called "Changing winds" - when the pokemon is on the field tailwinds are reversed and lower speed by 50% instead of increasing. (and possibly lower damage from wind type moves like gust and the like)
I went up against this team on the ladder today... Absolutely floored my whole team by just clicking EQ on roaring moon cause I didn't realize it would have EQ and tera earth lmao
QoTD: I really think Tinkaton is underappreciated rn. It has one of the fastest fake out in the game rn, not to mention even with no attack investment Gigaton Hammer still does a ton. It also gets a wide array of disruptive support moves like t-wave and knock off, as well as feint to break protects. On top of all of that, Tinkaton is surprisingly bulky, constantly surviving things I expect to ko and being able to do its job.
The second opponent might still not have known Flutter Mane was power anklet, non of the interactions (apart from the photosynthesis boost) would’ve been different if you were max speed haha
QOTD: Grimmsnarl, either screen support (prankster screen is gut), or more OVERALL-ISH support (fake out, scary face, parting, etc.). Grimm feels good into the ruin pokemons (fake out -> spirit break) and fake out is always handy
I think scizor with clear amulet/tera fire 252hp/252atk is underrated. Bullet Punch Close combat Aerial Ace Pounce/u-turn I dont run protect on it, personal preference. I prefer the coverage imo. I run howl booster energy (Spd) screamtail. It goes hard
Now I'm wondering if subs for other Pokémon move in similar patterns to the mon that used sub! Does a sub for rotom kind of wiggle about frenetically; does a sub for magikarp splash around to an extent? very interesting observation :)
I feel choice scarf flutter is very under rated with scarf you invest little to none into speed letting you put more into bulk or attack and pair it with sun like I do on my team you can pick to get the boosted sp. atk while also letting you out speed almost everything while also having the offensive pressure
bro what is this team, Trick Room Power Anklet Defensive Flutter Mane? that is crazy to say the least, and its surprising broken when combined with Torkoal with the Sun to boost his offensive, the fun thing is that its not that hard to pull of specially because of Wo-Chien Eject Pack and Torkoal Bulkiness to pretty much pivot in
You are probably aware of this but I am subscribed and RU-vid is not showing me your videos for some reason! I have to navigate to the channel manually every time
A set that is totally not rated at all coz no one is using is: GOODRA-WO CHIEN- TING LU trio. Put arcanine at the back along with a support mon. Goodra is wayyyyyyyy tankier than most people realize. I used AV goodra with only a little bit of special defense investment and it ranked flutter manes moonblast. Solid three hit ko if it isn’t specs or is not max sp attack. Even freeze dry and blizzard from iron bundle is a 3 hit ko. Hella tanky. Along with intimidate support and wochien. Plus 220 def investment. It’s so hard to kill. The downside is damage wise it’s lacking a lot. Hence needing another offensive pivot to make this team work. Although it does have extremely nice coverage moves to chip off the opponent and also spore immunity with sap sipper. A beast I tell y’all.
Yo Aaron, can you have a random Pokémon generator and use the six mons you get in a Vgc video? Like the mons you get in a generator are the mons you use in the video, the moves, sets and all that are up to you, to make it work just the randomize mons are the ones you can’t choose at will. Hopefully that made sense lol
Shouldn’t Jumpluff have 0 IV in Special Attack, and maybe even a Jolly nature? Since it’s just doing more damage to Roaring Moon and it’s never gonna get used offensively.
Really great team for best of 1 games :] just got to masterball teir rank 1199 with it (my personal best 😅 ), thanks Aaron Edit- ended up peaking at 799 so pretty happy with that 😊
@@tommysawyer9680 Eject Pack only activates if your mons stats are decreased. Pollen puff wouldn't have decreased stats thus wouldn't have activated the eject pack allowing the free switch into Torkoal 😁
I am proud of weakness policy Charizard in trick room modest in the other gen and i use a rock move that drops Speed of dusclops to prock policy and drop Speed of Charizard then with giga move I destroyed also zacian under protect
