TTT traverses the spaces of tuneful sound bytes .. first a bitta slice of life nugget, then bit more on the raag of the day and then a lot more of musical sounds unravelling the raag with Milind Joshi ably supporting me with the taal on the tabla.
Today's fare is a twilight dusk walk with Marwa .. at times a restless or an angsty sense of yearning for the sun to set on the day that has been and the night to unfold. At times striding along life's journey seeking what lies within and beyond...
The notes of Marwa, in particular the interplay between the Komal rishabh and shudh dhaivat with a teevra madhyam thrown in between only adds to the sense of yearning that overpowers, almost all through.
ADMISSION OF A BLOOPER!
The Bollywood song "sanjh dhale..", recommended for listening in this raag does not belong here. It is based on another raag(vibhas) and not Marwa as mentioned(5.45). Apologies, for not putting ears to the song entirely and inferring the right raag its based on. It's a lovely song, and let not the basis of the raag stop you from listening to it though.
The usual ..
First a Nom Tom alaap, followed by a bandish composed by Pt. Dinkar Kaikini depicting a scene from Mahabharata, where you feel the angst of Draupadi. A traditional bandish ensues, rounded off by a tarana. All set to Teen Taal.
Time to don on the headphones and explore Marwa with us.
