@BigHeadClan
@BigHeadClan 6 месяцев назад
@Brian_Eugene_Lee I mean automakers update products constantly over-their lifecycle... But mainly its Nissan revising the CVT"s slowly across the lineup. It takes a few years for those new CVT's to spread out across the lineup after an update... 2-3 years in fact. But yes marketing will brag about it on every new car, the Nissan CVT has more or less been sorted out since 2018-19 still not the best in class but a major issue like previous years.

Being an Uber, fuel economy, efficiency, safety features and easy maintenance are the key most important factors when picking any vehicle brand new. My sister absolutely loves the car and I have to say, this is literally the best car a person can buy brand new if you’re looking to check, the marks of looks, styling, fuel, efficiency, & easy maintenance. I recommend the SV or SR trims as they have all of the enhanced electronic features, Nissan’s 360° car shield protection features , as well as Apple CarPlay.🙏🏼👑

The sad thing is the reason for the lack of tiny cars is CAFE standards are based on the track-wheelbase footprint, and put unreasonably high fuel economy requirements on super small subcompacts. It turns out easier to meet CAFE standards with bigger less efficient vehicles. 😮

my first car was a 1985 Fiat Uno 903 cc , It had 4 cylinders , single carb and put out about 40 bhp. It was beige too, so I called it 'Chicken Soup' as it was the same colour as a tin of Heinz chicken soup. I use to thrash Chicken Soup within an inch of its life and it just kept on going but it was so much fun on tiny skinny tyres. It was great in snow too, I use to stick it in a low gear and use the manual choke like a cruise control and it would pull itself through snow past loads of 4x4's that were struggling to get up hills !

A couple of things, the Z on the coils is actually a sideways N for Nissan. If you look carefully at the 2 injectors per cylinder, they are next to each other. There is no direct injection as there is no high pressure fuel pump (for direct injection) and a regular fuel pump (for port injection). It is actually two port injectors per cylinder, one small injector per intake valve, two valves per cylinder. It helps atomize the fuel better and reduces emissions and expensive metals used for the catalytic converter, reducing costs...of course, at the expense of now having to maintain/test/change 8 injectors. Hope this helps.

I was just gifted a Toyota minivan by my dad recently. It is the best value for money for a vehicle, even if you have to pay for it! Best power/weight of any four wheeler I've owned, better highway MPG than my manual mini pickup, same payload capacity, 1700lbs MORE towing capacity, 4x8 foot bed (like a full-size pickup!) if your snap out two seats, carries 7 people and luggage, all the bells and whistles, all the space locked and climate controlled. SO comfy! It costs about half on the used market, of what a similar age version of a pickup costs. Which is insane. But no manual transmission. :(

Toyota Siennas. IF you can find one get ready to pay 3-6k above MSRP. If you don’t want it no worries because someone else will buy it. Maybe it is not❤ but there is a rock solid demand for them.

Dodge Neon first generation was my favorite rental. Light, quick. I remember the shocked look on a 5-series BMW when I smoked it off the line somewhere west of Chicago. After 30 I was toast, but the Neon had fun factor +++.

THIS IS THE NUMBA 1 REASON!!! You are just bashing the redline, little engine is screaming away, and you are barely gonna get a ticket lol. I rented a camaro SS once on a vacation and I couldn't keep my foot down for more than a split second or I'd be getting close to 90 mph.

Hi Sarah, I have the 2024 Versa S 5-speed and it does have a little bit more pickup than the CVT. The first day I swapped out the 15" steel wheels for five 17" wheels that are the same as a 2018 Kicks. I upgraded the tires to 215/50R17 and they fill out the wheel wells without rubbing. Yes, the Renault CLIO does have the 4-lug rear disk brakes that could fit. The parking brake will be the biggest hurdle. I added the OEM rear spoiler and tinted the windows lightly. Finally, I'm converting the headlights to LED and adding the LED driving lights. It's a cute little commuter car that gets great fuel economy. It's not fun to drive in high crosswinds or stop and go traffic jams. FYI the engine has dual port fuel injectors per cylinder, no direct fuel injection. I'm pretty sure the engine is the same as the Renault K4M in the CLIO.

I own the 2021 5 speed version with upgraded components. It's a way better drive than that CVT version. Also, the white button on the back shift knob is the "sport" mode button. Still slow. Great review. And you can swap in the rear disk brakes from the B17 Sentra.

My favorite car was a 1988 1.2 liter 3 cylinder Subaru Justy RS with on demand push button 4WD in the shifter of the 5 speed transmission, 2 door hatchback with 40 MPGs. It felt like a tank and like a kid with a sled, I couldn’t wait for the next snow storm. Always making tracks before the county plows cleared the roads. Bring back the Justy!

My first car was a 1961 Ford Anglia 105e (Harry Potter's best friend's flying car) for $75. Shortly after that, I bought a '62 Nash Metropolitan. The "Met" needed an engine rebuild due to a wrist pin score in 1 cylinder. I sent the short block to a machine shop for an over bore and new pistons. I then did a road trip to Missouri and back covering almost 4,000 miles in 3 weeks. I was 17 at the time.

Seconded. Though I am worried about that car. Worried that by the time the car is going fast enough to use peak power, it will flip over in the wind or will be catapulted off the road by the live axle's mass launching off a big bump!

The most fun car I ever drove was a little 3-cylinder Suzuki car with red paint and lots of body damage. I rented it while on vacation in Hawaii and everyone thought I was a local so I got a lot of respect. It had a top speed of around 45 MPH and very little power so that made driving so easy because I either pressed the gas pedal all the way or the brake pedal all the way and I did not have to think about adjusting or regulating the car's speed and that made it super fun to drive.

Sarah I love this review. I have been driving underpowered cars most of my life and I agree with you across the board. They are more fun to drive and get great gas mileage. I have owned 3 VW bugs 1 Subaru wagon 1 Toyota Celica 1 Ford Fiesta and currently driving a 1999 Ford Ranger and every one had a manual transmission. They all where so much fun to drive. I have had larger cars but not near as much fun and cost a lot more.

My first car was a 1974 Honda Civic. I have so many fun and fond memories of that car! About six years ago, I bought a 1993 Ford Festiva from a friend. Kept it for two years. I only got rid of it because at 210,000 miles, it was on the verge of giving up the ghost. Both of the aforementioned cars were equipped with manual transmissions. I cut my teeth on small cars, so I know exactly what you were experiencing behind the wheel of that Versa. Great video!

Thanks for reviewing a car that many people can afford! I grew up in small inexpensive cars, until Dad bought a Citroën DS. Drove a FIAT 128 in canary yellow during the first gas crisis, what a fun car but what a sloppy gearshift! Not sure if it even had a radio, likely it didn't. The LeCar made it into the family, and my sister drove a Yugo at one time. Never owned a Peugeot but my oldest brother owned a Simca that preceded the 128, same overall design. Love small cars, my fav in recent times was the KIA Forte Coup SX w/6 speed manual. With small cars you can toss them around and have a load of fun without having to be in triple digit speeds. That's what I call fun! Love that you are a fan of these cars.

Yes! 04 chevy aveo 1.6 5speed base model. Crank windows, manual locks, no air. Tuned simply with an intake and 1 ohm resistor chip at the ats, it was so fast and fun I sold my custom-built Evo 8! Couldn't WAIT for a turbo 1.6 and almost 20 years later I have my 1.6 turbo Kia Forte GT. Absolutely AMAZING!
