The First Gentleman who helped you with the bags and jewelry was a delight! It makes the shopping experience that much better when the employees are friendly and helpful ❤
I just bought the same art deco coffee pot. They don’t resale for a tremendous amount, but they’re so beautiful to have if you can get it at a thrift store for a good price. Love it too! Same taste!
No way a Bottega at a thrift store will never happen here. Wow. Excellent way to show how resellers from around the country have such a variety of things. Have my grandmas purses to sell so this helps huge. She didn't have any Bottega. LOL. Great video
Well, I'm kicking myself. Last month, I picked up a stunning Ciner brooch for a song at an estate sale in Short Hills,, but I hemmed and hawed over two of the bevel-set jewel-toned Swarovski necklaces. One had the typical sized crystals, but in a flapper length, and the other was exactly the one you picked up with the larger crystals in an opera length. Ultimately, I left them behind because I figured that style is so common; but now that you mentioned that the larger crystals are harder to find (and you're showing them paired so beautifully with the pearls), I don't know what possessed me to leave them behind! I have a dresser drawer full of faux pearls from my grandmother, from chokers to ropes, and every length in between, and they never see the light of day because I could never figure out how to wear them. Now I know! I also have a very similar multi-strand blue/green AB necklace that I picked up at a garage sale eons ago and a blue green art glass necklace and bracelet that I bought at the end-of-season costume sale at the local Shakespeare Theater. I always figured they were probably Vendome, even though they're unsigned, unlike my other Vendome pieces. Never in a million years would I have guessed they might be Schiaparelli, so I guess you've given me some homework to do. :)
I think the staff might be confused & believe that "I'm going to get three more things" mean those are three definitive purchases rather than three reviews for condition and/or brand identification. But you already had a pile, so they should have stuck close to you anyway. The store sure had cool stuff!!
Watched again. You have the most amazing eye - and lightening fast. I follow along and can usually spot one of two. When you are looking and in the zone you are so focused and almost possessed! It is just fabulous to watch and I find it so enjoyable and informative! 😎❤️🦅💪🇺🇸👍👍
I'm definitely going to watch you on Whatnot as well as here. Love all that you do! You missed a Fendi baguette right in front of you and you missed it. We have one of those thrift stores in my state and it's only 30 minutes away. I have learned so much from you. Keep on keeping on! The sky is the limit for you Dawn. You rock!!!
The Fendi I was talking about was on the back cheap wall lol..Those people are a different breed customers and employees but so worth it. I noticed the stairs going up to another floor. How big was that place?
Hi just watched this evening and I must say I really wish we had American Thrifts in MI! Hope they are still good in NJ there because I know you’ve been in CA / NV and the had the flu ( hope you are feeling better ) 💫🙏🏼. I do travel a lot and go to different shops and when I work it’s usually in CA. The reason for this message is I’m wondering when you may go back to American thrift like the one in this video??
Congrats, Dawn! The stars & planets must have been in alignment this weekend! I had one of the best thrift hauls of my life as well on Saturday, 22 pieces in all, including a really rare antique carved bead bog oak necklace. I have wanted one for a long while and this one was $3.20!! My eyes must have literally popped out of my head and landed on the floor! That thrill and excitement, and the inability to describe what you want to look at to the attendant, is one of my favorite feelings. I love it when I find a new good place to thrift! So glad you had fun and success!
I’m looking for a 80’s or 90’s (not sure) Guess mid thigh jacket with faux fur around the cuffs and all around the outside please I think it comes in a few colors
I was feeling a bit stressed myself when you were buying the necklaces. You are quick, however I felt you were being rushed by the assistants. The jewellery was a great deal, so it was worth it!
Hi Dawn! Angela B sneaking at work again😄. Small world, Passaic was the first city I ever lived in. Passaic, Patterson and Tenafly were my stomping grounds. Great thrifting!
OMG I would have gone nuts in that store. LOVED that Gucci which it was 25% off because it was yellow tag?? You find the neatest items. I'm gonna have to sign up for what not and buy a mystery box!!!
This looks so fun but I can't afford to shop right now and I live in Massachusetts, I can't believe people donate these expensive items for free it's sad
The man said pardon me can I get by here and you say no then sorry about that he was probably thinking 🤔 you probably were joking but I wonder what he was thinking
The Customer service is not good at this store. The employee should have stayed with you through your shopping experience. You spend a lot of money. I would have asked to speak to the Manager . It's one customer at a time. I'm just saying.
