Um no, the sentry champion didnt receive a buff. Acording to 0:22 the sentry CHAMPAGNE got a buff

That explains a lot - I used one in the standard challenge today and it was just evaporating bloons.

There is still 1 QOL glitch with the engineer. The sentry placement is way better, except it is not conscious of elevation changes. For example placing an engineer on the top left platform of water park can cause it to place a sentry "near the track" except on the bottom floor so it cannot hit anything whatsoever.

It is crazy how much the Sentry Champion benefits from the Call to Arms and Homeland Defense. If my math is correct, the maximum damage with a Call to Arms ability is increased by 506.25%, and with a Homeland Defense ability it is increased by 1600%, which divided by 2 (since the abilities only have 50% uptime) is a 253.125% overall increase with CtA and a 800% boost with Homeland. That is (respectively) making the tower a little over 2.5x better for about the same price of the original tower with the CtA and 8x better than the original tower for just about twice the price. Edit: I did do it wrong since I applied the pierce buff from the abilities twice, so the actual increases are different. I’ll update with the correct numbers tomorrow.

I don't know why the vid is about the Sentry Champion when the patch notes clearly say that the Sentry Champagne is what got the stat boosts.

I love how the sentry paragon + ultra boost 2tc used to be unimaginable and impossible, Then with the price reduction a few updates ago it became possible but extremely hard, one of the hardest possible 2tcs, And now with this update it’s literally one of the easiest no hero 2tcs, and by far the easiest single tower type 2TC

Is it not worth alchemy buffing the sentry champion?

If homeland gives a 2x increase to attack speed, would it technically give a 4x boost to total Sentry Champion DPS because it would boost the rate at which sentries spawn and the attack speed of the sentries?

Next update: Crossbow Master attack speed increased by 2%. Ethan Reid video title: "Look at this broken OP insane tower! Please nerf! Way too good! Head currently exploding! WOW WOW WOW!" So yeah...Sentry Champion which was previously subpar and inconsistent is now marginally more reliable and got about a 15 percent popping power buff. Its still quite mid.
