Welcome to my channel! In today's video, I am sharing how I pray Scripture as a busy mom and some of the daily habits and rhythms that I do specifically for prayer. Being constant in prayer as the Bible says is something I really aspire to and all of these daily rhythms have really transformed my prayer life as the Lord is growing and refining me in this area! I'm sharing a prayer Bible tutorial and WHAT exactly that is, a tour of my prayer closet, and even some apps that I use that help me stay constant in prayer. I hope this video is encouraging in some way as we as women and mamas are prioritizing growing in our prayer life! Thanks so much for watching!

Hint from a grandma about kids that don’t sleep. At bedtime, turn off all the lights in the house, tv, radio, any kind of stimulation. You will only have to do this for 20 minutes or so until they fall asleep. Little kids are scared of the dark so they won’t get out of bed. Play an easy listening music radio station in their room at night or nap time. Anyone will fall asleep listening to elevator music. Haha

I had the same issues at bedtime, then I started playing soft worship music for my daughter. It works!

Tip from a papercrafter... after you put a sticker on as a tab, you can dip the sticky side into cornstarch or babypowder & then viola! Won't stick to the other pages!

I am absolutely inspired by your videos. Im a mom of one amazing 13 year old boy. At 49 I am at a different season of my life and honestly I wish I had the relationship with the Lord that you do when my son was born. It's taken me a long time to get here. I know I will spend all of my days trying to grow in my walk with Him. May God greatly bless your beautiful family.

I recently was given a small book on how to pray scripture. It was revolutionary for me. I don't know how I was a Christian for so many years without learning about this concept (because it's not a new). However I'm so grateful I know how to now. My husband and I have started praying a psalm together a few mornings a week. This concept of a prayer Bible seems absolutely perfect next step for our praying scripture journey. Thank so much.

I honestly think it needs to be talked about more in the Christian community! Praying Scripture is SO powerful and it just isn't talked about or explained enough. I viewed your video late yesterday afternoon and woke up at 1 a.m. thinking about all you said. I too live in a small house with very little room; not even room behind a door. My prayer and study materials are in two totes. However, I have two display boards from my teaching days sitting in the back of a storage closet that I just pulled out and I am transforming them into a foldable, moveable prayer "room" based on inspiration from you!! I’m an older Mom with one kiddo still home (until next school year 😢). The Lord has really been convicting me about the constant noise too. My Word this year is Quiet. It really does create such calm and room for a two way conversation with our Father! ❤

Another option for a “new” Bible might be a thrift store. It can be hit or miss but I just got one with minor cosmetic damage on the cover corners, only 1 underline in pencil, & the name plate page was removed. My local one doesn’t charge anything for Bibles. 😊

Yes, that is what I love most about it-super user friendly and easy to just flip through quickly and find what you're needing! Or also, find a topic when you don't know what to specifically pray, but want to pray over a specific area. I really really love it! Thanks so much for commenting!

The black and white striped tabs and floral ones are actually just washi tape that I already had that I used on top of the same tabs that I ordered, it worked perfectly to use for a few more categories!

Do you find having so many tabs distracting? How do you know where to turn to when you're looking for something specific?

The more you use your prayer Bible, the more you’re going to know where everything is. Some people color code so each theme has a color or they will even write what the tab is on all the colors however the natural way is to actually use the prayer bible ❤ that’s how is was back in the 90s this concept isn’t new it comes s d goes every 3/4 years

No, I haven't found it distracting at all! As @thejournalhouse mentioned in her response below (thank you so much!), I've definitely found that as I use it, the more I know where everything is. I have it color coded (or separated by pattern) so each tab is for a specific topic and I also have it written next to the tab so I can easily see which topic it is. As I flip through to find the verses, I've found it very user friendly and the more I've used it, the more my brain remembers without even looking which color is for what!

I actually used some of my extra tabs that I showed in the video that I ordered for the prayer Bible to stick the paper side on the back of the sticker to keep it from sticking. You could do the same with cardstock or index cards or anything like that that is a little thicker and then just cut it to about the same size as the sticker. I didn't cut specifically to the shape of the sticker (that would honestly probably take forever haha), just covered as much of it as I could and it's held up fine so far to not stick to everything else. Hi 😊 I was actually wondering the same thing. I’ve been watching quite a few videos. I found women say they use baby powder, Kleenex, or tissue paper on the back of their stickers so they don’t stick to everything. I haven’t tried these myself but I definitely will very soon. I love all the fun tips & ideas.

I actually used some of the extra tabs that I ordered and just stuck the cardstock, thicker part on the back of the sticker to cover as much as possible and I haven't had an issue! You could also just use a piece of cardstock cut to about the same shape or piece of paper. It's worked great for me, even though it wasn't completely the right size!

Absolutely! ❤️ The center verse that I mentioned in the video is Matthew 6:6. And then the other verses I personally have currently are: Galations 6:2 Matthew 22:37-39 Deuteronomy 6:5-9 Galations 5:25 Galations 5:16 Matthew 11:28-30 Proverbs 18:21 Ecclesiastes 3:1

You can adjust the video playback speed; RU-vid added that as an option because some people complain about slow talkers and others complain about fast talkers.

Girl you need to slow down a little, you even talk too fast. I had to go back and listen to you 3 times over. I pray you learn to breath a little especially since you have 3 little ones. I am so proud of you for all that you do. But seriously slow down a little and enjoy God and your children.

I appreciate the feedback! I will try to carve out a little more space in my videos in the future-creating videos that people keep listening to has more strategy in it than I ever realized and making sure to edit out the breathing breaks is encouraged in the RU-vid world.
