Hello my Friend Well I'm quite amazed by this video, firstly that truck does look like Optimus Prime especially if you could get a Red one. And they seem to have thought everything, look out Tesla Semi 🚛 wow. The quality fit and finish looks A1 . And then I was stunned at the Cabless Truck they are going to rule the world on an Automotive scale , it's going to be like an Avalanche,. Since Farizon is a brand under Geely Commercial Auto and Geely owns Volvo, it wouldn’t surprise me to see a Volvo version of this truck and being able to sell in North America market.

Trouble is everything in U$ and EU are so politicized, they might label all chinese EVs as national security threats. They refused to work together yet don't have the innovative capacity nor the money to go to next level development, but would rather pour all the time and resources into conflicts and wars. Nevermind that they don't want to work with the chinese, they are so nefarious they would go all the way out to destroy and smear all things chinese.

The driver wouldn't give it full pedal with no trailer on the back, EVs give 100% torque from the start and the drive wheels would just spin, or it may have load sensors which wouldnt allow him full torque and horsepower. It needs a bigger fridge with a freezer box, I've watched youtube videos about Chinese truckers and they tend to cook in the truck rather than buy a meal. As for their diesel truck emmisions, they are very very high so i doubt they are using a DEF system ? Still its a great truck, longer wheelbase than you could use in the UK but that allows for bigger batteries ! A big step in the right direction !

Great comment Phil. That's the kind of context I wouldn't know about not being a trucker but makes plenty of sense. Surprised about the wheelbase because they're planning on coming to Europe, so was that based on a real number or from observation of the larger cab option?

@@InsideChinaAuto Just an observation, I was a trucker in the UK till I was 40 then I moved to Canada. They'll likely shorten the chassis but that will likely affect the battery size and range ? It will be interesting to see how they achieve compliance on that issue for the EU.

You mean on the channel or Farizon? Farizon is a Chinese brand owned by Geely, and yes, all the videos we cover are Chinese brands or foreign brands owned by Chinese companies (Polestar, smart).

Nice presentation. However, I would not bet for quick real autonomous driving. There is too much legal hurdles yet.

Legal hurdles depend on lobbies and governments. There are far fewer lobbies in China and a government far more motivated to advance their technology and industries, so it'll likely happen here first. Too many people fighting over small things and preventing change in the West.

It has a bed. And it takes 45 minutes to charge. If your driving time is less than 45 minutes, what do you need a bed for?

Longhaul truck sometime has two partners. They take turns to drive. Some of them are husband and wife. Trucks are their homes on wheel. @@InsideChinaAuto

It can charge at 1mW so you don't need to wait too long. Just charge when you go to the bathroom.

@@InsideChinaAuto Charging time must include the wait time at the charging station. EV charging stations are not enough for cars and very few stations for Big Trucks. The power grid cannot handle millions of trucks and hundreds of millions cars. EV may work for short drive delivery trucks but no long haul company would invest in EV trucks in America.

There was one in the concept, didn't seem to have made it to the production version, but there are still plans I believe for a super luxury version that would likely have it. There's room under the rear bench for a port-a-potty though if needed like in a caravan.

It is in China, at least methanol produced with the by-product of heavy industry.

@@wdmfan Highly recommend you watch our Farizon G2M video to learn more about it. Another key thing is that China isn't reliant on others for methanol, whereas they don't have much in the way of oil.

Autonomous trucks should have load located forther ahead, to utilise it's lack of cabin and save space.

It's an interesting point, but bear in mind the trailers themselves aren't yet built with a large overhang at the front so can only come so far into the truck body itself. Maybe that will change if we get to full use of these but those trailers will still likely end up connected to a standard type truck at did point.
