Just-The-Tip: you don't need a knife to undo those hard plastic packing straps. find the part where they are melted together, flip it around and pull on both tabs peeling them away from the melded portion. this is part of their design.

same way you take off those disposable wrist straps some events use to designate what you have access to. Just get a hold of the loose part of the strap and pull against the glued/fused part and it snaps off, easy.

Ive actually installed one of these limited edition ones for one of my clients, i believe 500 were made and his came with a certificate of authenticity. Also when lifting an oled, put one hand on the bottom near the base and one hand midway up the side next to where the bump out is and you'll minimize risk of bending it, it hurts watching you guys grab the top of the tv and put your hands on the screen lol

The emperor wasn’t trying to protect from Thrawn first off. Thrawn was a part of the empire. You’re thinking of the Yuzzhan Vong (kinda sounds like Thrawn). Secondly. He wasn’t trying to protect from them either. The empire wasn’t set up to be sustainable. The emperor believed that an empire which was unable to protect its emperor didn’t deserve to live on.

I'm with you on the thinness of the displays. I have a 55" Samsung S95b that I'm using as a computer monitor, and that thing was a huge pain to get out of the box, and the first one ended up dying after a few days and we had to exchange it for another. I'm pretty sure that first one was bent as well. I do not look forward to trying to move with this thing.

I just dont get why the manufacturers are so crazy for that lazer thin thing on tvs and monitors, I mean most of the time we're not even seeing the side of the screen what the heck, we've already got to the point where there's not so much need to get thiner y'know? specially when that means the tv/monitor will have less space for actually meaninful hardware/features

@@rodrigoferreiramaciel4815 I don't get it either. I think it's some kind of bullet point that they can put on a list, probably to gain internal approval for a new model. I'd much rather they be a little bit thicker, with a nice rigid frame that isn't going to bend during normal, expected transport from one place to another... or even just from removing it from a box. To give some idea of how common it is for these things to bend right out of the box: The guy at Best Buy warned me about it, and said the first thing to check was to see if it was bent. It apparently happened to his friend.

I have a 75" Samsung Qled something something which i use as pretty much everything, streaming,gaming,mediacentredisplay you get the deal. It flexes like a newborn baby when handling it, but i didn't bend the screen. I think they don't do this intenionally , but rather to save weigth. It's like i have a wallmounted 12year old child hanging by 4 screws from ultimate falldown.

I've had great success putting together newer TVs utilizing the box and foam as much as possible. I normally finish with the foam replaced on the sides of the TV to stabilize it and give it a space from any surface I'm building on

I install these all the time. If you lay it on the box you can lift the box and it spreads the weight across the whole screen instead of just lifting from the glass. But I honestly build them standing upright build the stand then two person lift onto the stand as they have clips to slide it into place. Having the second person holding it to be safe while screws are put in.

I have to be the nerd... Thrawn was an admiral from the Empire and he represented no threat to the emperor, actually the opposite, he believed to his core that the empire's duty was to bring order and peace to the galaxy and he did that well.What I think you guys are referring to are the Yuuzhan Vong, those guys would appear after episode 6 and it is said that palpatine's grand plan was to protect the galaxy from them.. but he was killed and so began the most destructive war in star wars lore. over 300 trillion deaths :)

he also complains about the EU no longer being canon... the EU was never canon in the way people refer to canon (as in movie canon) it was always its own thing separate from the main canon that to be honest wasnt even consistent within itself. I mean.. I loved the EU... Shadows of the Empire is my favorite thing from Star Wars, but even 12 yo me was under no delusions about its canon status. Apparently a lot of other people were. What dude is complaining about is that Disney expanded the MOVIE canon to include books, games. and comics. Which IMO is a good thing. Not only is it a good thing but its literally the best way to get EU material into the main canon which was NOT happening beforehand. We literally have Darktroopers in live action ffs. Some "fanboys" just want to bitch and not think about what theyre saying.

4:37 - We just moved, and had a nightmare packing and unpacking our CX65. If I didn't buy well well bellow MSRP, I feel as though going with a G level tv would have been worth the extra cost, just to not deal with this style of TV. We also did the same with a QLED, and the process was amazing!!

what i try and do with these thin TVs is attach a wall mount bracket to the back if it, makes it easy to pick up. I keep my old Samsung TOC LED TV Flush mount since it was just a metal rope with 2 holes for mounting on the TV. turns it into a handle. Pick it up and place it on the stand.

Start wars fans are a group of huge whiners. They constantly cry about it. Constantly whining about getting all the movies. Every fan only likes 3 of the movies, but they're still fans just to cry about the next movie that comes out. They're worse than the BMW fans that moan about every new BMW, then 2 generations later, they talk about how that generation was the best. Like it takes them 2 generations to love the car. They cry about the grill, but in 2 generations, they'll be doing to get their hands on one. You can spot these tools by their use of E and F costs for BMWs.

You *can* still enjoy something even if it doesn't stick to the confines of what you grew up with. I broke a Samsung 4k on super sale trying to put it on a wall. Went through all the programing prompts and then went to bed and noticed first thing in the morning not 1, but 2 huge bands of shame. The local store I bought it from didnt believe me and went through the serial numbers very carefully before trying to get me to accept an identical replacement, I told them I no longer had consumer confidence in Samsung or any of the other in house brands they offered. after 2 hours of trying to hold my wife back from the weekend assistant manager I then grabed the cash, ponied up an additional $200 bucks and got a Sony. God I love that TV!

Same. Had the 49" C1 on the go as my daily monitor for a year with zero issues. Admittedly I'm using it for gaming, rather than productivity, but it's been a great monitor.

"Why does he have a gun? Why does he have an AK?". Almost every single gun in Star Wars is based on real firearms with little modification. Han's blaster is a Mauser C96. The Stormtrooper blaster is a Sterling SMG. The Death troopers DLT-19 is an MG-34. That AK fits the franchise history and aesthetic. Moving on, the TV is great within itself, but the additional costs for the Star Wars edition isn't justified imo, even as an avid Star Wars fan.

They could also have done more with the screen. For example a mode where the black bars at the top and bottom of the movie are not just black bars but styled such that it looks like you are watching your movie through a space ship window. Or even more extreme like a complete overlay.

I love that most of the time the host on set including linus asks that a clip should be cut from the video but still ends up in the video.

@@moraxushon They probably just laugh. Cause they know it's not gonna get cut if the editor can manage it. If it was something questionable like an iffy joke or an actual embarrassing moment that might cause the comments to get nasty in sure they cut/check with the host first.

I believe the reason the remote battery is in like that is to prevent small children from accessing the battery compartment because it's a choking hazard.

David and the editor misheard: it is not (Vice) Admiral *Thrawn* that the Emperor is trying to defend the galaxy against, it was the Yuuzan *Vong*, I don't think disney has reintroduced the Yuuzan Vong back into canon yet.
