I hope blood knights get a similar treatment, since they're vampires and should be doing way more damage.

According to last week's dev blog they should be getting a DLC that probably will have a rework. Nagash and Nefarata are easy money for CA, they will be added to the game 100%.

I hope they get the grail knight treatment, fewer but more powerful models, they don't feel like extremely powerful vampires to me.

Fireborn with the benefit of AP makes for a very scary combination. On a different note, the burning alignment had its speed and damage radius increased. A nice change, because it was pretty lacklustre before, being too slow to hit the target most of the time, and when it did hit, it did almost nothing of note.

As I expected, disgusting healing focused builds made arround the Fireborn and SEs. At least there was no Imrik. I'm never going against HE without Star Chamber Guardians and Mazdamundi with the net, for me it's a must now.

I partially disagree with the notion that Fireborn were falling behind, because they were already being taken in almost every single matchup. I see them all the time when facing High Elves, doing well when used skillfully (as it should be). Not really fond of the AP solution. While effective, it feels lazy and uninspired. One could argue this can of "AP elite shock cavalry" worms was opened because the Grail Knights were given AP in the first place. I think Shock cav are more interesting and balanced when non-AP, because it stresses the importance of their cycle charging nature. I'm willing to bet it's just a matter of time before all the other elite shock cav get AP too.

Just because you saw them in every High Elf army doesn't mean they weren't falling behind. High Elves didn't have any viable other options to contest enemy armoured cav, so the non-AP Fireborn had to do.

Is not that they were good is just that they were the only anti large unit with a decent speed on the HE roster On top of that HE really lack mobile ap. they have the lions which are overpriced. HE really struggles in the cavalry department as the dragon prince non ror are expensive and often has difficulties to pay for themselves. Silver helms has really bad ma and dmg output in general for a cavalry of their rank plus the non specialisation and the lack of ap make them non competitive. The elyrian reavers are good though But out of 3 tier 2 are really difficult to use and the 3 one is really limited to who you are facing

I am quite happy for the high elf situation they have got so many great units and roster, i wish they fix bretonia cavalry they did a great job with dwarfs i really like them and hope SOC never happen again

I mean I wish they would update bretonia it's cavalry is great no questions but lord traits are outdated they have been nerfed heavily in Warhammer 3 alongside technology tree and legendary lords traits special tree giving +10 diplomatic relationship barricade cost reduction ( you don't want any barricade infantry) technology research which takes 5 turns to complete giving you+1% to farms gold it's not even funny when it's the required technology for cavalry update technology. I suggest changing vow requirements for 2 nd vow for the unit which is being ignored most of the time because it takes 2 turns to recruit . Cavalry faction who does 3 technology in total for cavalry upgrade is a joke

Please no more ap spam on every elite cav. There’s also nuance here you can tweak ap values instead of flipping them.

Eh, you can only take one Fireborn. It gives the HE something to contest the heavy cav of other factions, without being spamable. A good compromise, i think.

I don’t mind the Ror special approach. Just sweeping unit changes like were done to grails or changing blood dragon knights I wouldn’t like.

​@@eumaies Blood Knights are too expensive. That is their main problem. As a seasoned multiplayer you know all about cost versus performance in this game. Grail Knights hmm, as Bretonnia is THE cav faction and their roster being limited in other areas. I think that execuse somewhat overperforming cavalry. Btw, are you satisfied by the 5.1 balance changes overall?
