As someone who hasn't followed TW3 slavishly, and mostly watched in the early days of the game, it's so weird to hear "Wood Elves and Kislev are top tier."
Swiftshiver deep scouts are kinda insane, might need a cost increase. Having same range as old scouts, but double shots + magic damage. They will blenderise anything demonic and will be better then waywatchers for lower armor stuff
Yeah I feel like a range buff isn't exactly the worst thing for them I believe they were only 135 before this boost which is pretty poor for a faction even more archer focused than most and also zero artillery. But going all the way to 180 is maybe a bit much. 360 shooting enough speed to outrun most other infantry and with really nice DPS there is no real point bringing normal ones anymore. I think 150 or 160 would be a bit more reasonable. Would be the roughly the range of peasant archers from Brettonia, which for the greatest archers they can manage shooting 2 arrows the same distance as some farmers given a stick and some string.
Better than the standard version, sure, but they are such a vulnerable unit for their price and their accuracy at longer ranges is not that good(it is worse than any of the Glade Guard variants). For dealing with low armour, I prefer the Hagbane Glade Guards. A fair bit cheaper, still has magic damage and decent AP, and a poison debuff. Deep Wood Scouts are good harassment units if you can stop the opponent from engaging them. Somewhat similar to Waywatchers. A fair bit easier to kill, but also cheaper. Personally, I think the range should just be lowered a bit. 180 range makes little sense for the unit(they are supposed to be lower range than the standard variant), but 155 or 160 could be ok. Increasing their cost would just make them a more inefficient alternative compared to your other options.
would love to see elves, but especially wood elves, ranged units/archers accuracy buffed extremely, so almost every arrow hit its targets, and their arrows projectile move at double speed. would show their expertice and craftmanship, and make them much more viable ^^
6:30 Wild Hunters with AP buff are actually a perfect counter to sled Katarina but they were wasted in this game. Imo that cav trade was the real turning point for this matchup
Slederin caught me offguard... I was shaving myself in the morning, I literaly cut myself because I was chuckling so hard.... it was only the times after that that I realized slederine sounds NSWF-ish... glorious cast :)
One of the issues British people have with American English is that they pronounce ds and ts the same way if it's not at the start of the word. That is definitely the case here 😂
Are Treekin any good atm? Feel like having one or two might be decent in this matchup with their sustainability against the none ap shooting and armoured kossar front line.
They could be good but FWIW their model size will make them easier to get shot by gunpowder units when engaged. They’re also a very good target for Grom, but maybe resilient enough to tank the shots without losing value?
@@listerineclean343 My thought process is that they might be very resilient against the non-ap Kossar gunpowder from Kislev, seeing as there's very little reason to bring streltsi in this matchup. Grom would be a huge problem tho. I don't know how good treekin are in this patch in terms of the melee grind either.
Personally I think their build was fine but losing Wild Hunters in that awful trade left Katarina free to wreak havoc. If it weren’t for that early unit loss, the AP buffs + anti large would’ve been enough to devour Kislev mobility
i think kislev would be balanced if the calibration distance was lowered and spread, effectively lower accuracy. so overall they wouldn't be so precise and hit so hard. as example little grom here hits so well, if other cannons had such good hit rate we might see lots off artillary.. maybe just make other artillary and archers as precise as kislev xD
The difference is that most other cannons have multiple cannons and dont rely on a single shot to earn value. And the price difference. Little Grom is 1400, while an Empire Great Cannon battery(4 cannons) is only 800.
Would Kossars with spears be better than Kislevite warriors? Unless they bring Treekin or a Treeman their AP doesn't seem as useful as having some extra bows
@saintblackwater7213 it was less the winds, and just how quick it was spammed. That second griffin legion was hit twice in like 30 seconds. That's just not even fun.
Shortly after the patch dropped I was shocked to see the Asrai with such a high win rate, but I figured things were still early & they'll drop down soon. Strange how one of the so called weakest factions in the game is suddenly performing so well. Were the buffs that impactful, or did people just figure out how to play them properly. If it's the latter then please teach me lol.
i feel that more nerfs to more units on the kislev roster but then having the nerfs on each unit be not so strong would be better but that doesnt mean kislev got overnerfed
@@cookingforgrandpanurgleI personally disagree, WH3 rosters can often be balanced or unbalanced by a single unit because of how the meta is shaped by gold efficiency, soul grinders for instance. Slightly nerfing every aspect of a faction will only make their overall gold efficiency slightly worse, their OP units will remain OP and their subpar units will remain subpar, that’s not really the approach I’d like CA to take, IMHO.
