@@MaxVelocityWX 888 pressure that is insane!!! I sure hope people are taking this storm seriously we had a cruise booked leaving Friday off the Orlando coast and that is not going to happen 😳
Gonna be honest, more concern about Hurricane John. Because the last two Hurricanes came my way seemed that they were from that direction. (Aka Beryl and Francine.)
Never hurts to plan ahead before they jack prices & run out of what you need. I lived in Louisiana for years they too make light of storms but they are also already stocked up & have wood all set up to cover the windows in the barn lol.
Attention..Please Share...Anybody with pets, please keep them inside and safe. If you leave, take them with you. If you see strays and are able, please have a heart and give them shelter. Help save those unable to save themselves. These poor furbabies don't deserve to die. Every life matters, every soul counts. God Bless!🙏💯💯🙏🏿
Bless you for remembering the pets and other animals. They are generally the forgotten ones without a thought for them. I pray too that cities has a way to provide shelter for their homeless. 🙏🙏🙏
One thing this certainly illustrates is how complicated forecasts can be. Thousands of variables can cause so many different scenarios to occur, no wonder it takes multiple computers to even attempt to to track where, when and how devastating- or not - these things can be. Great video!
@user-mad7max11dystopia there's a new Euro AI model and more to come. I imagine soon we will have extremely accurate forecasts much further than a couple days out. I hope so anyway.
I agree. The computations I make to find the positions of the planets, Sun, and Moon are complicated, but I cannot fathom how these models come to be. At least I realize they are estimates and not one of those ninnies who never believe.
You know, if Max is concerned about a storm, I am. We need to get ready, y'all, and please check on your elderly neighbors. They may need our help preparing for what may come...❤
I'm by st pete beach and Nobody cares.Everyone says this is just going to be a tropical storm. Nobody is taking it serious I feel like i'm the only one freaking out lol
@@UncoverTruth I am feeling that too. I know there is no cat 6, and this one may or may not reach a 5, but I've been feeling for a few days we are going to see one cat 5 that goes in the history books. Praying I am wrong.
@@stillwaters4097 I live 44 mi from its projected impact area and I'm not scared until Waffle House closest am I picking up stuff that could blow away that I own absolutely because I don't want to buy the things again am I doing any preparation other than a cup of water with a quarter on it frozen in the freezer nope I'm lying I'm gathering some trees that we just had cut down just in case I need a wood for the grill in case the power goes out
A few of those models look very scary for North GA. North GA does not have a lot of experience with large hurricanes. I live at starting point for Appalachian Trail; our (mountain resort) community varies between 1,200-3,000 feet above sea level-we get very high wind speeds with normal storms-these homes are not built to withstand hurricane force winds. As it is, we already lose power and internet outages about once a month, due to downed trees; as it’s densely forested. Please keep your eyes on NW and N Central GA for us! TY❤
I live in Southwest Florida and the Gulf off our coast is 20-80ft and +90° right now... it'll very rapidly intensity and im positive it'll make landfall as at least a Cat 4 and more likely a strong Cat 5
Hopefully people are preparing now or making alternative plans for evacuations if needed. If it were me and my family and if possible. I’d leave tomorrow or Wednesday and head south otherwise you’d have to travel quite a ways to get out of the path of the storm if you head North or Northwest out of the bend. (Though not knowing exactly where it will make landfall but heading south you’d be safer and further to the east away from the west coastline. But if you could leave even sooner and can afford it, leave tomorrow and get out of Florida. Get on the west side of the storm. Mississippi at the very least.)
Thank you Max , I am in panama city and I will wait for all your updates , let's hope for the best we don't need another cat 5 like hurrican Michael in 2018
Thank you Max and the team for all you guys do to keep us updated on these storms you guys are awesome keep up the great work we love being updated 🙏 💪.
This is a dangerous situation, and a major hurricane is now likely, the threats are, tornadoes, significant flooding, significant storm surge, and major hurricane force winds
You gotta relax! You went from potential of tropical storm to a cat 5! That’s completely different outcomes. As a Katrina survivor (age 22 in Gulfport, MS) it’s this type of “crying wolf” every storm system that got us into trouble in the first place. Growing up on the coast you hear this every hurricane season…Let’s wait til it’s actually 2-3 days out and then get serious. Til then. Just keep making preparations and stay calm
Maybe if you're looking at the 850 mbar level winds. HAFS-A has future Helene at peak intensity: a minimum central pressure of 899 mbar with maximum sustained winds of 185 mph. HAFS-B has this storm at 888 mbar with maximum sustained winds of 180 mph. Still, these are absolute absurd numbers and would be crazy if it actually occurs.
Hurricane center is most definitely playing it close to the vest! This has a chance to be a all time top 15 land falling Hurricane for the USA Get ready west Florida prayers from Ohio
I have been following this potential storm for over a week bc I’m suppose to get on a cruise on Saturday out of Miami. I think I’m safe leaving Miami but I’m concerned bc I’ve seen several comments on a potential storm coming first week of October. Do you see anything forming beginning of October?
If you look at the long range yes there is another one expect to develop way out in the Atlantic. Too early to predict where, when, etc. but keep an eye on things.
