Yah. Lol. Clearly speaking kinder of the game because of the partner status. Pretend excitement is annoying.. lol. This is a cool change, but it isn't F2P all of a sudden. Not a jump for joy to have a new way to want to spend as a moderate spender.
You know what would help imo? If you wanna swap a 2 star rank 10 right now you need sooooo many duplicates..... why not make where you have a rank 10 power and command and you wanna switch that over to a fang or pain clasp you just need 1 of those and because you already have a rank 10 gem you can just give it all the juice... that way, you can test out all the gems I.E. swap them around without grinding for 10 years for all the dupes
The big issue now isn't so much Res (though that does come into play at about double yours, so unless you are 5k or so, this change won't have any meaningful effect). It's the Secondaries. Resisted and short duration cc allows more uptime of damage. Blizz canceling the combo gems really saved things short term. The fact that it's only Res and not effects is actually great for us.
Of you look closely Echo in the wing resonance image you showed us it says 12000 not 2000 so I’m guessing it’s either a mistake or 12000 res is the max now after everything is awakened rank 10!
*I chose not to use 5 star gems and instead use 2 star and 1 star gems for the level 10 awakening.... and if 5 star gem users now get to have the same benefit as low spenders which I believe is the only thing that helps low spenders have any sort of edge on 5 star gem whales which is the awakening, then there should indefinitely be a boosted bonus awakening for level 10 gems since this level 5 awakening only benefits 5 star gem big spenders to be even more powerful over small spenders...... they better come out with an increased bonus for level 10 awakening if they're going to come out with level 5 awakening too.... makes no sense to have twice the level gems and have no increase to your awakening...*
Awakening gems isn’t as big of an increase as people think buff wise unless ur ranking up the extra gems. This is all just go get more money out of ppl. It’s indeed hurting free to play the most but that’s the game they chose to play. The game is p2w driven so idk. It makes sense to me how they are updating these. the awakening is just a cover up to make it out like f2p is getting something. When they really aren’t lol. Idk
I'm a filthy casual, so I'm not very savvy when it comes to game mechanics. It all appears to be a bonus for f2p & low spenders(the whales are gonna whale regardless of course), just sucks that the markets have crashed on all the servers I play on, makes the platinum grind a lot more difficult. Two months ago this update/change would have been epic. Oh well better than nothing. *great info/vid!

I think they are running out of ways to make money. New wing system but you need 8k reso really? Must be a bunch of players sitting on 7.5 or 7. With the current market it will cost you approximately $25k-$35k to get from 7k reso to 8k reso and that is a portion of the issue. Big issue being YOU CANT SELL ANYTHING ANYMORE ON THE MARKET.
me too, but its also so your 5/5 gems that arent top tier can be used. i have a 5/5 howlers, chipped, spiteful, blessed concentrated in my stash i cant use because my 8 slot is already full
As of now, they had removed the image of resonance in the wings. Just open back the patch note blog. I was trying to find the description about the resonance back and feels weird cant find the image. Lucky I still have the page opened in my mobile, and could confirm it was there before. Weird, probably that one is from their beta test and decided to change something last minute
Pity blizzard didn't buff the material you get from farming to rank your gear up or at least reduce the amount you need to ugrade your gear slots. Plus, with whales having an ultimate from wings, how will any low spender ever kill them? The game just got ridiculously harder
most whales that spend are the nices players, and come to find out some are business owner that love to game but dont have time to grind. which why they spend money on the game. think diablo immortal is doing a great job with there overall player base.
Do we all realise that when “josh strife says” said that there are about 22/23 in game currencies and they have just decided to add runes as another. Just another way to get money from people. It’s kinda disgusting at this point!!!

I feel like it’s the opposite. This update just makes balance worst. The top 1% get 2000 resonance. 2 new wings and cosmetics plus new ultimate skills. The casual get to awaken their gems at rank 5 but who has 70k platinum to spend on buying 7 dawning echoes.
@@jamhappy3762 yes and no. It all depends on the market also if someone caps their gems all week then they play a lot. Also if someone gets unlucky and gets all ruby’s to sell then they won’t make 30k a week. 300 platinum a day is the only thing that is a guaranteed that you’ll make n
How silly to think you can buy Dawning Echo for platinum but as an F2p even getting one Rank 10 gem is like a year of serious straight farming or even more unless you sacrifice other gems for it! I'm already a year and half and still don't have a Rank 10 gem. Only Blessed Feeble at Rank 8 since it's 1★ and easier. They also fend off the replay button on Elder Rift. I'm pretty sure many requested that feature but only in Dungeons instead. It's so exhausting doing 35 runs to get weekly limit 280pcs while 120pcs embers easily be obtained if in a crest shared party. My resonance is 930.
The issue is that secondary stats are very important, and those stats are something f2p players can easily farm for free. You can get quite alot of gems each week. So why waste 1 of the few things they can get rather easy, on getting something that costs alot of plat? All these inc server merges may mend the market abit for a little while, but that wont last. Imo this is not helping f2p players that much.
After this update I have decided that the monk is the most disrespected class in the game and will now permanently go to tempest . These new essence are redicoulous SgtNevek
So what they are doing is compressing all of our spent time down to the hell1-3 and then expand again so completely negating all grinding time. And to top it off, making all the whales so overpowered that they CANT be beaten
u don't awaken a gem, u awaken a armor / weapon slot, and no u don't have to awaken it again, as long your gem is with new system coming rang 5, if it's not your awaken peace just give u the addition bonuses
Level five gem awakening is a terrific idea. But giving the highest tier players a gigantic leap in res makes it completely worthless for low spenders. Think about it this way. For example we have a 3.5k res player. All rank 5 gems 2-5/5*. With new gem awakening he is super excited. After a bunch more spending he can get to MAYBE 5k res. Nice spanking new wings. BUT. Is this guy caught up at all to the higher res players to be more competitive ? Not even a little Bc now Mr 7k res. Gets 2k more res Mr 8k gets 3k more res. For example. And new moves lol. In conclusion you are not getting more competitive and getting LESS on your spending
Free to play players are not rejoicing. Now, instead of a paywall of orbs , it's a paywall for platinum. Market is terrible. Sure, F2P people get boosted a little with Awakening earlier, but instead of narrowing that gap slightly....suddenly whales will go from already powerful 6-8k to extremely impossible 8-11k Resonance, adding more damage. So, when I had a semi-fighting chance at my current res (midway between 2-3k) .... Now the whales power shifts ever wider. I like PvP content, but getting one-shotted to death in BG's makes me stick to PvE more.
Blizzard really needs to crack down on people purchasing from Susan express. People are literally bragging about it. One guy bragged about spending 10k on Susan with 0 punishment. A lot of whales in this game are "susan babies." Its discouraging the rest of us honest spenders from spending.
Yes they are out of touch.. But the game is FAR from dead. Lol. There are several whales on my server group that are excited to dump into this new feature. Devs are still pulling in plenty of cash. And at the end if the day, games development is about money, not player base. F2P people are actually the reason games stop getting developed.

Kindly make a video on farming 70k platinum in 1 month's time. The platinum market is dead. Suzanne express has more or less crashed it. Honestly speaking, you sound overly harsh to your viewers when you emphasised on how easy it was to do so. Do take my comments as a form of constructive feedback and maybe you can also do a video on how ineffective blizzard is in tackling the platinum drain situation.
For the whole Awakening thing .. i heared recently thats a think that is locked behind a paywall, so F2P players still have absolut no benifit from all that, right ?
No. This update lifts the paywall behind the dawning echo stones that only cost orbs, but now also is purchasable with in game platinum, which is easy to get for f2p.
They are allowing players to awaken gear at rank 5 which is cool, but most players will be working with 2 star gems inside of their 5 stars. Ranking up a 2 star gem to rank 10 is expensive in itself. It took me way longer to get my 2 star gems to rank 10 than my 5 star gems to rank 7. Its smart of blizz to give added benefits to the Big time whales. They will all be licking their chops as they go for those 10k wings.
Not thrilled. I dusted all my previous sleeping gems to try to get my 5 stars to rank 10. Now I could have used them as further resonance in my awakened gems. I am all level 7 and up.
Does it mean we can add gems if we’re able to awaken like today at r10..or do we have to still wait until we reach r10, this isn’t really explained. Assuming is one thing to get the 10% but the gem slots is another level altogether.
Hmmm. I think it will motivate whales to spend and we can sell gems at a reasonable price now. Not sure how it will affect the market but something will definitely happen because of this. Too early to say if this updated will be good or bad need to see the runes it might probably make or break this update. Sad that they removed the ancestral weapons though.

I'm a little torn with dawning echo for plat, and r5 awakening. yes, it's cool they're doing it. but I, and many others, have spent money on them, where other's will be able to do it for basically free.
Looking forward to the runes, lower gear ascending ranks and new gem play. Wing get slots and stuff is a dumpster fire considering they still can’t balance pvp modes. Might need more lipstick so I can look good when I’m getting fkd 😂
