Server merges should ALWAYS be the last resort because it is a clear signal of the beginning of the end of the game. A server merge means the game is dying. I have played games for decades and not once ever has a server merge saved a game… it’s always just a visual sign that the game is dead and people leave faster for a number of reasons, for example: 1. Indicator that the game is dead - why spend money on a dying game? 2. If you spend a bunch of money and get to a ranked position on a server then due to the game not making appropriate choices the game dies to the point they’re merging servers, they now end up with new people taking their spot in ranking which causes lots to leave. If the market is the concern a better solution would be to open the market across servers.
@Echo, on the hellyquary Gauntlet, the text says December 13, 2024, BUT, if you check on the picture, it says 19th of August. That one could be right, maybe, and we get to see all 5 'new?' hellyquary bosses? Since the Paragon 500 Hellyquary has 4 new and 1 old. Edit, Gauntlet III wil have last boss as of now, Peishtal.
I can't believe it, they actually did it! You are right we have been asking for years for Dawning Echoes for 10k platinum, but awakening at level 5 is just a huge bonus too. This is the sort of update that genuinely helps f2p. Now sure, they added plenty on the other end to make sure whales don't have to worry about getting caught, but that's fine. F2p should never be troubling whales, it should be slower but without huge dead-ends like orb only purchases. The earlier change to allow upgrading gems bit-by-bit from around level 5 is also good and there is a slow but steady path forwards now. Actually might just re-install to check this out on Thursday!
What about the 50% invocations we get from the ancestral items? And I really hope they fix this high difficulty they have for challenge rift because it’s so hard to do alone and everyone as a community feel the same way.we need to be able to do challenge rift alone without asking for help…I was almost finished maxing out my secondary gear then boom they raise the difficulty sky high I’m at 20,19,18 and 5 17s for secondary but still I want all to be 20/maxed.but overall there doing great.We should also get a water dragon skill 🐉
Haven't left a comment in a long time but I figured I'd let you know you should try the forgotten Tower sometime cuz at the end of the dungeon you get five chests I haven't made it to inferno yet but I can only imagine some of the stuff you would get out of those five chests
I’d imagine when awakening a 5* you’ll need plenty of other 5* ranked up to even begin to receive any bonuses. So ya it’s great it starts at rank 5. But the majority of people won’t get beyond probably unlocking the first tier bonus
Man i have a f2p alt with lvl4 5* built in 6 months. Only running 4 of them but yeah not impossible. Plus don't need 5* gems to compete I lead my server running 5 2* gems awakened
This is a wicked update, there's always people who are gonna cry and say all this does is help whales. I'm happy with this update I'll be able to awaken almost all my gems.

Same thing happened to Blood Knight. All previous Phantom Market cosmetics that were released before BK aren’t usable on BK. Nothing new, and I doubt they’ll change anything.
Just a reality check for f2p and low spender that wow we can now focus on rank 5 x 5* gem and awaken it. Sorry but with the large pool of 5* gem now, it is still very difficult to upgrade to rank5 just by lucky drop of the gem u want for dupe. Not to mention the gem power required. Best bet is if u are one of those who alt farm egh previously with decent plat u can still buy from market.
Wish they did something for those of us that have awakened all the slots already! DE does me no good! Would much rather have my eternal orbs back so I can use platinum. Bust for non FTP non whale players!

Now the video hits on one of my biggest concerns moving forward after the update, more to follow. I have seven pieces of gear that I will definitely be awakening when the update hits. I have only one rank 10 one star gem. The others two one star gems are rank 8s. then the other five gems are 2 star gems, four at rank 5 and the last at rank 4 because I need another fervent fang to rank it up to five. The fact that echoing dawn will no longer be behind a pay wall actually gives me hope that one day Blizz will drop the egregious pay to win and move to a pay to progress faster game where cosmetics along with account services will be how they make most of the money. At least that is a hope that I have. Since you are unlocking new gems slots does this mean that you will be getting the power of the legendary gems. Meaning that you are actually getting the power of another 8 legendary gems on top of the eight you already have. if yes, then the content will have to be balanced around that. Meaning that there is a chance that in order to play in inferno and beyond you will need to have the other 8 slot unlocks to advance in infernal difficulties or play with others. Which could force those that want to solo to either leave the game or play with others at all times. Which would likely cause others to leave the game. I know because I am one such person. If the game ever makes me feel that in order to progress I have to spend money then I will stop playing until the game changes where I feel that i can advance without spending money. I have many other games that I can be playing and do play alongside of Immortal like Star Trek Online. My concern for the removal of ancestral gear is how will that affect the Ancestral Tableau in war bands. We do get some stats from that Tableau that will be lost when the items are returned to your inventory.
5 star gems should be awoken at rank 5 for sure . I do spend money on the game and have 6x 5 star gems at rank 5 and it took me forever to get them and at least $700 … 😂. I can’t imagine what the whales spend to get rank 10 5 stars .
I like that 5 * gems can be awaken at level 5. I have BSG at 4. I'm happy they changed the dawning echo to cost 10K platinum. I have all but two slots awaken. Lots of good changes to the game to help the low spender.
I am gonna tell you something about myself that I normally don't tell other people, which I don't mind doing with you because you are such a fine man. Normally when I comment on a video I don't watch the whole video making notes then comment later based on those notes. I usually stop the video to make a comment that I am thinking about at that moment so I don't lose the train of thought later on or have to make notes. Also I usually do read the patch notes before watching a video like this one. I will try my best in the comments to speak about any concerns in a manner that is in order to when the portion where the concerns lie come up. I am glad that you brought a question that I was thinking. Since the runes look like they have a lot of affixes that are either similar or exactly like the affixes that normally appear on gear. Does this mean that the gear will no longer have those affixes and in their place runes will take over. This way you will have more control over what affixes are in your gear. Another thought on runes is are runes gonna be like gems meaning can you remove them and put another rune in its place. This means that for certain builds you might want certain runes to help you out with boss runs but want a different one that helps you out in farming. If yes then more questions are things like what about your load outs will they be able to remember what runes you had and swap them for you or will you have to do that yourself. Just runes on their own can bring up a lot of questions. I don't mind the paragon level bump which I knew was coming but I am concerned about how the paragon points will be spent in the changes to the paragon system with legendary nodes, more on that latter. There is also some problems that I had with reading up on the new bosses, more to follow later on. A few questions on the new legendary paragon skills. How many does each tree get. Also how many paragon points to they cost. How many paragon points must be spent in the tree to unlock the ability to spend points into the legendary paragon skills. This is just the tip of the iceberg on questions. Something that I just noticed now that I didn't know before. I noticed that the amount of stats from the legendary nodes are 3xs the non legendary skill nodes. If that is the case then each legendary node will cost twelve points if they keep the same point cost per non legendary node.
