I have a super early 9-Knob Brutale Macht and have really enjoyed it since I got it. That shift knob and the dual gain control is super rad that I wish mine had now 😂😂😂

Would have liked to see you explore the dual gain knobs more. Seems like 2A dialled back below noon with 2B cranked may have given you the clarity you were looking for. Seems like the same kind of interaction that you can find on VHT/Fryette amps where one knob really affects the input EQ balance from thin and clanky to fat and loose and the other simply pushes that signal through a gain stage. I remember you doing more wide sweeps of knobs in your older videos. That's something I'm missing from the newer vids. I'm sure its to avoid spending hours on a single video though lol. Love your content, Kyle. Thanks for all the videos over the last few years!

That gain pot setup is next level gain staging articulation. Wouldn't surprise me to see larger manufacturers adopt that feature after patents, trademarks, etc end up running their courses.

Kyle, the tone, or where the mids sit should respond more where you like them, the lower the tuning . Think of it like this, the lower the guitar tuning, the amp voicing is higher in relationship to it. Mostly the D and G strings will be the most noticable as you lower pitch. Essentially, from what your preferences are, this amp would sound closer to the tone you prefer with a higher mid focus at a higher tuning. Hope this is helpful. Thanks for what you do!

In other words, as you tune lower, it doesn't add to the amps low response, it uses it more effectively. The higher mids you like, amplify higher harmonics and overtones. If the guitar is tuned lower, this automatically shifts the midrange lower on the instrument and the amplifier would have to be tuned lower to give a similar feel and tone. Think bass amplifiers.

This would be the first amp I haven't liked how the EMG loaded Ibanez on, but the fishman guitar sounded really good. Which in standard tuning usually the moderns are a no go for me. The real winner though was the PRS McCarty with the over drive. That was a badass tone.

They can kinda smooth things out if you put them in the right places in the circuit. I just went for pure tube tone. Just trying to stay true to the sound and responsiveness of tubes.

It sounds better than the first version of this amp you demoed on your channel for sure, but it still has the ''too much noise'' (hard ton explain) in the distortion that I don't like personally. Every of his amp has that. Not saying that it sounds bad, just not my taste personally.

I agree with this, This is definitely the best yet, though. I have given him this feedback on each amp and they have gotten better with each iteration. I think he'll be there at some point soon.

I dont use clipping diodes which may, or may not be to my detriment. Diode clipping does tend to "smooth" things out. Not like I'm a tube snob or anything, LOL!!!!! but I try to keep them true tube tone only. I haven't experimented with different tubes either. I have run JJ's for years, but JJ's do tend to be a bit dark and fizzy. I'll have to experiment on that end. Its a never ending rabbit hole...LOL!!

I think here it sounded best with the Ibby and Fishman’s boosted and the Balaguers. Still seems to have that characteristic of too much noise/hair around the note that’s put me off on most all the demos I’ve seen from the brand. You certainly hit a lot of the amps tone options but I think I can say after seeing all your demos of the Redbeard stuff, I’m just not a fan of the tones.

Tone is subjective...There are people that boost everything and people that boost nothing. Some guys boost a $4000 Fortin, others don't even boost a jcm 800...personal taste thing...

Research and buy all the components and build one. You'll find out why they're not cheap. Not to mention months and months of tweaking to get it where you want it. Aside from that why put hours and hours of work into something that isnt going to last a lifetime.
