It is going to be in the 2024 film Bonhoeffer - This song touches me like no other, his voice is stunning, the orchestration is sublime and the video says it all about humanities failure to communicate. Thank you Paul Simon a total genius poet!! ❤

Many people prefer the live version on Conan but I prefer this one. And that is because of the video. To me the video is like another member of the band and it gives so much more depth and weight to the song. There's also an interview on RU-vid that he did with loud wire where they just asked him questions about stuff that floating around about him on the internet. If you haven't listened to Pentatonix cover of Sound of Silence I highly recommend it. People usually describe the three as this, Simon and Garfunkel was a warning Disturbed is the anger in that we have not heeded the warning that we haven't listened and Pentatonix Falls right in the middle

the performance of this group shakes every cell of the body. I also grew up in the era of Simon and Garfunkel, but this band's performance is like a thunder storm, shaking body and soul. Not everyone can do it, but they did. The entire performance, masters of musical instruments and the incredible power of the singer's voice, power that shakes you to the core of your soul.

I'm a pretty hardcore Disturbed fan - so obviously I'm biased as all get out- but that aside I really enjoyed your take, not on the song, but the video (which to me is an art piece) - I know you're up to your ears in suggestions but if you want to run with Disturbed covers and feel like a little anime take a look at Land of Confusion

Sounds of silence is beautiful by disturbed, you should check out their video of "Bad Man". In my opinion it is a cinematography work of art. The way all that movement and the many many scenes blend with the lyrics ... to me it's a work of art. Also check out the song "The light". The song is really good. The vid is good, but it's nothing like sounds of silence or Bad Man. Check the out. I'm 72 yrs old and people think it's weird that I like disturbed but... they're great!

This one is a lot better than the Conan live- not just because of the great cinematics- but he was a bit bad with cold and the show producer when and put auto tune on him in 2 of the most difficult spots- i guess he was worried he'd mess up- even tho he was TOLD not to use auto tune and he said he wouldnt. And you can really hear it if you pay attention- it kinda ruins those bits. p.s The sound of silence has been in multiple films but not the disturbed version that i know of- they are all the original ver.

Personally, I still can't decide which version of this song I prefer, the original, the Disturbed version or the Gregorian style...this song is sensational in so many variations. In view of the cinematic implementation, which is brilliant, there is another music video that you should definitely see. I'm talking about Rammstein's video "original version" of the song "Deutschland". Don't even try to get behind all the reference points in the long German history, even native Germans have big problems with that. But the filmic implementation of the message that the band uses is simply fantastic like this one of this one from Disturbed. There are english subtitles on the Rammstein youtube video avalible and recomended.

I liked Disturbed when I first heard their cover of "Land Of Confusion." Then on the radio I heard "Ten Thousand Fists." I liked it enough to buy an album, and I still love them. There's a story that at a party Paul Simon came up to Dave and told him that Sound of Silence was "his song now." Have you ever heard of the Acappella group, VoicePlay? They are the Theater Kids of the Acappella Trinity on RU-vid, along with Home Free and Pentatonix. Voiceplay's bass, Geoff Castellucci, also does a cover of this song on his solo channel. I think you'd be blown away by both the group AND Geoff. I strongly recommend checking them out.💙

In the series Blacklist, they actually used this cover, and how it was used + banking on the emotional investment a viewer has put into the show up to that point was brilliant IMO. 2000's feel of a generic crime American TV show aside, Its a decent binge if your itching for some shows with an emphasis on conspiracy theories.

Well I don't know too much about him but I will say for me personally I've had to work extremely hard to pull myself up and get it together. Everything I've ever earned was on my own. I just do what I gotta do ya know? Then again, I don't go around telling others unless they ask for my assistance. In my experience I've been burned helping others so I just use more caution these days. I do still try to to help where I can

Arguably, the greatest living male singer in the world. In a big budget video of this song from the soundtrack of an Italian film called Creators: The Past. You said never listen to this before so why didn't you just enjoy the whole song first. It's kind of missed the flow of the imotion that they trrid to slowly show to you . I think just be patient not to pause or react anything untill the song ends. Then start over again to pause and express your feelings about each scene. It's like watching a movie and your friend keeps chatting all the time. My opinion😢 Thanks for the clip.😊

If I don't pause I can't use as fair use when it comes to disputing copyright. Pausing helps me analyze in the moment. Next time you should watch the actual video ahead of time then watch the reactions. My opinion 🥸

I have watched several videos of this song and every one of them has given me goosebumps on top of my goosebumps.. It has also made my eyes get leaky... I love Simon and Garfunkel, but this version by Disturbed has given this song more meaning...more feelings for me.. I am soon to be 65 years old ...I cant get enough of it.. Chilling..

You have to react to "Dimash Kudaibergen" singing OGNI PIETRA from the Arnau Concert on his own channel. This guy has an 6 octave range and he is trained since the age of 5 years old. Never heard a voice like this. It's mind blowing. Ogni Pietra means "every stone" and the song is about to be strong and fight against all troubles. I'm pretty sure you will enjoy it. Since you’re a Disturbed fan, you probably already know that Draiman’s voice is unique, because he was a trained Jewish Cantor in his youth, as was his father and grandfather before him. Video was released in 2015. If you like this, you should react to “Don’t Tell Me” the official video that Disturbed released in January. It’s also black and white and features Ann Wilson of Heart singing with Draiman!!!! Your mind will be blown!
