Sure, he might be living in filth and playing Roblox, that is fine. Why decide something is bad if it doesn't affect someone else? You can say that you don't like to live in such a room, which is entirely correct. That means that you value cleanliness as more important than the time spent cleaning. This person doesn't value cleanliness, and that's totally OK.

EXCEPT... he's not completely right. Unless geography plays into things more than I know. I have coke bottles, several months old, that I've not thrown out yet. As long as the cap stays on, I've never had one mold. Actually... I have half a 16.9 oz bottle of Mt. Dew right beside my chair. It's been there for almost 3 years now. During the worst of flea season, I drown any I pluck off my dog in the bottle. The soda has never molded over. I live in WV, though. But, I also live in a basement that had a slow (hidden) water leak for 3 years, so the humidity has always been high in the warmer months. And by high, it's gotten up into the 80's.

Fun story for a tech. I’m from Michigan and here, these roaches aren’t supposed to exist. A neighbor brought them to our trailer park all the way from Florida in their luggage and it infected every house in a 200ft+ radius. Knowing this, I can barely imagine what the actual house looks like, given that every neighbor has to pay for Orkin several times per year now. Funnest fact, the home that gave everyone roaches was my childhood home(bought by the current resident, I WISH I was well off enough to bring roaches home from Florida), which is a pretty big slap in the face :( they ruined it and it’s so nasty and ugly now. If I were one of the trailer owners in the vicinity(my grandmas was, she had cancer so guess who got to control the infestation…) I would have absolutely been pressing legal action for damages and paid someone to remove all of the waste possible just to Jack the bill as high as possible. It’s horrible, my wife turned the lights off one night after I said not to, when I woke up and turned on my flashlight THE FLOOR STARTED MOVING. I wanted to d*e, certifiably, that night. Dumped a lot of boric acid in every nook and cranny around the house that the dog couldn’t get into and I really did manage to control and almost eliminate the infestation but only through many sleepless nights of hunting, spraying poison, cleaning said poison from surfaces people may contact, and crying all over the growing mountain of corpses around the house that I’d eventually have to remove.

Needless to say, grandmas trailer was happily given to a family member who wanted to bicker about who got the house, please fella it’s all yours never speak to me again for such gross behavior

I still have science experiments from 20 years ago in mason jars on a shelf glad that glass and suction keeps the odor within. It's the kind of rationale that if you swim in sewage for long enough, nothing can harm you. Until it does but ain't there yet.

Yeah I knew a guy that used to have a ton of pepsi cans in his gaming room and mold would grow inside of them... was his roommate a couple of times and I'd clean the room, and in Canada everybody recycles bottles and cans, so I'd dump the leftover muck that was in the half drank cans into a bucket. There was also cups, leftout takeout food, spilled pop on the floor... it was a pig sty! I doubt his mother got a refunded deposit on the house XD

I live alone so I'll let it stack up for like a week and take 20 minutes to pick everything up on Sunday or Monday since that's when I do all my cleaning.

I would clean on the regular basis if it changed my life for the better, but I grew to ignore filth until it is dangerous bad for me or for my cat. I spend most of the day out, then chill at home and go to sleep, not one of these things is more fulfiling for me when my surrounding is clean so i just dont care.

Apple cider vinegar trap made out of a mason jar with small holes nailed in the top. Just a little bit of apple cider vinegar and a couple drops of dish soap, they go into it like clockwork. Wash the trap and repeat.

Wellll aktchually, Asmon doesn't seem to understand the effect that climate has on bacteria. The difference in temperature and humidity between his experiences and POW's experience can change the molding evaporating timeline in their biomes by days and weeks. Who the hell change sheet once a week? Do you not shower every night? Your sweat during sleep? Then stop sweating. Changing once a month or every two months is more ideal.

Skin and hair get oily and this oil and sweat go to bedsheets, making them dirty over days. The more oil gets to the bedsheet, the harder it is to clean them completely. So it's easier to prevent stains' occurrence that remove them when they get strong.

@@Oleksa-Derevianchenko skill issues. Shower before bed, no oil and sweat. Don't open windows because outside air is disgusting and it causes your bed to smells nasty faster.
