So I decided to take on the challenge of running a LFG Legend Onslaught. You never know what kind of fireteam you will get and what better way to test a Build than in Legend Difficulty with random Guardians!
I ended up with a Strand Hunter and a Strand Titan on my team. Which means we didn't have a Well Warlock or a Tether Hunter.
I wanted to bring in the most powerful Crowd Control and Ad Clear Build that I could think of and as you can see, this build did not disappoint one bit! It is truly the embodiment of Absolute Carnage where you just slay every enemy in sight while still bringing amazing crowd control and then adding survivability on top of that. I couldn't even image what it would do to waves of enemies in the Normal Mode of Onslaught.
I finished with 1245 Kills so getting about 4 times more than my teammates and also created close to 200 Orbs of Power
which is great for everyone including myself. Because who doesn't like Woven Mail and healing from every orb of power right?
Now the gameplay loop is simple and as you can see, if you do it correctly, Everything Infront of you just gets totally wrecked. So make sure to understand this and get it down.

Yeah that final kill count was the issue tho. With so much benefits for hunter/titan coming from keeping banner active/constant tangles, 3 strand usually creates a 1 feast 2 famine dynamic. Even without lfg it’s something we’ve realized running this as a clan

For those unaware. The kills counts assists as well. Since the threadlings tickle everything it counts alot more kills. Same with turrets. If you put a turret everywhere it basically doubles your kill count. He isn't actually killing 1200 enemies

even still he's CC'ing a lot of them and even if it's counting those remember that the other two were running strand and still had no where near the amount he did, regardless he got insane value and as a warlock strand main I love to see it

While assists may count as kills I ran an onslaught with a mate who had a build like this and he was spawn killing enemies and my other mate and I were focused on enemies elsewhere. They don't just tickle they do work

This is almost exactly my build Ive been using on my warlock except I've been using osteo for SMG quest, orwings maul for blinding nades, and marcato45 strand heavy machine gun for DPS and extreme add clear since it can roll demo and onslaught.

I've been using a build quite similar to this since the very beginning of the season. I soon as I saw the Thorn Catalyst I saw the potential. I have been using it all the way up to end game content and it performs quite well.

Thanks for the new video! And I really want to recommend a build which uses the HEIR APPARENT and the ACTIUM WAR RIG on solar titan. An auto rifle with the perk incandescent is also needed. I just completed 50 waves in the legend onslaught using this build, and I could say this build is perfect for this event. Looking forward to your next video!

Thanks for the vid. I was trying this build earlier and it was sort of working but not quite. I don't main warlock so I wasn't sure how to troubleshoot it. At the time, it felt like Necrotic Grips and Thorn were letting me down because I just couldn't get the Thorn poison to chain properly. I was contemplating switching to a Strand weapon to make spreading Unraveling a lot easier (with the artifact mod for Unravel on Orb pickup). But what I didn't realize (and again I'm not a Warlock main...) is that I needed to be opening with the melee attack to get that Unravel to spread. I also wasn't running the Fragment for Melee Energy from Tangles because, again, I didn't realize that I needed to be opening with that. Otherwise, I basically had all this stuff. I don't care what people say, Wanderer is great because Suspend is broken powerful. I will be taking this back in when I have a chance to get on again to try. One question I had, was why Thorn? I love the weapon, but if I recall from a year ago Warlocks were using Osteo Striga primarily with this build. Is it just because of the Unstop on Thorn this season, or is there another reason?

Osteo poison dmg got nerfed this season and hand cannons got buffed and thorn got a cat so thats why

@@thebhoy8561 okay so it’s for no particular reason then. Having used both now, I like Osteo better for fallen because there are a lot of fast moving red bar enemies and Osteo’s tracking helps a lot there. But on waves with bigger or slower enemies I like Thorn’s up front higher damage per shot.

I had a guy like this on my team and he had all the kills but struggled against big boy enemies. Especially after wave 30 I was having to revive him a lot.

Yup. I'm wary of players who obsess over kill counts. They're not usually the best team players.

Yeah this has lots of poison based ad clear and crowd control but it's a high skill build, staying alive requires a lot of work. It has no real self heal either aside from picking up orbs, which works but it's a glass cannon build.

I also tried a lumina build with boots of the assembler and it did really well, that constant healing and abilities with benevolence plus the extra damage from blessing of the sky really helps with tankier enemies, plus it keeps those silly banner titans alive 😂

@@riothegod1831 it one shots red bars up to wave 50, can confirm, ran it last night. And it hits 50% harder against suspended enemies. Hits red bars for 40k with a surge mod, hits orange and yellow bars for 20k.

Personally there’s a build I really want to try but I don’t have one of the pieces of gear yet. Nezzy’s horde (a threading warlock build using nezarec’s sin and buried bloodline in theory the threadlings will trigger health gain and grenade energy from devour once that’s rolling) Weapons:chill clip riptide, buried bloodline, and commemoration/hammerhead Gear: nezarec’s sin, with void surges and grenade regen instead of kick start for armor charge mods,

I've noticed this is becoming a new thing for content creators. If you aren't a member (i.e.: paying customer) of the channel, then you don't get access to that perk (which can include a DIM link). I don't know if Plunder is doing this or not--it could just be an innocent mistake. But any creator that does this, at least for me, is no longer worth my time--or my views of their videos.

So the same build that was rampant before the suspend nerf? I used this build some in onslaught and while you get kill everything, survavivability was still an issue for the team. Once I swapped to welllock, I was able to beat legend with randoms my second go around.

Ngl I do kinda prefer Osteo more for the ease of use. I also prefer the fragment that grants weapon kill while having woven mail to spawn a tangle more instead of the threadling one.
