Battlefield 2042 Frontlines is finally here and it's pretty fun but I had an unfortunate event this week that ruined me. Let's chat and talk about BF2042, Nvidia ACE and more new games. Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.
@@syatekwe dont need live service battlefield games, we just need a battlefield game that is fun and completed - that alone will give enough replayability
How far BF, Halo, and CoD have fallen... Well I guess CoD has settled on Warzone for the long-term, but their mainline games are just rinse and repeat every year.
I live in rural Tennessee and we just got fiber internet less than 2 years ago. All of our power and internet goes over poles out here. And it's always a bit nerve wracking when storms come through because there are so many trees near those lines. It's happened more than a few times over the years of living here. To the point we have old style oil lanterns for when the power goes out at night. Glad to see you back Jack and hope you enjoyed your mini vacation.
Wow I'm surprised they didn't bury your fiber, I live in North Florida which is also mostly rural area and they just started burying our internet just as about a year ago .
The telephone pole line is common here in SA too. The idea is only the fiber optic cables are to be burried underground as a backbone on a main road. It's then linked to many telegraph poles and from those poles the lines are extended so they can go into your house and your routers without needing to dig up your yard. Also makes it easier to fix and replace with exceptions of cases like these if the whole pole goes down. Glad to have you back and hope all else is well Jack!
@@msalmanism Which is actually a pretty realistic behavior for most people. Wouldn't you lie just to get this random guy that keep insulting you while asking for another customer's room number off your rear?
Yea this is cool but a very dangerous road to go down but unfortunately they ain't gonna stop gonna be fine until ai is launching nuclear weapons out of out control
Jack, if that ever happens again in the future. I work for Openreach as a fibre engineer. Hit me up and I'll try and bypass the supplier level for you and get it sorted as soon as possible. Can't have you missing content!
your opening story made me think we live in the exact same place until i considered that the uk has a lot of trees lol. a whole tree fell down and blocked off a school road this week haha
I got a key for GZW and have had some of the same issues you've had, but it is absolutely gorgeous. I really am looking forward to the next open world survival game. Either that or the next Division title.
That's hilarious to me. I also was 4 days without internet due to cables being fucked. Although mine were cut by thieves instead of nature's delight ahhaha
For the mobile signal issue in rural areas, you can install a cellphone signal booster in your home. I’ve installed a kit from Baltic signals in my summer cottage. Works like a dream
Man Jackfrags is just the best... Thank you for these videos that you do, you always speak so humble and respectful and even just the small thank you stuff, it feels so genuine and is something so few Content Creators say. Wishing you all the best and thank you for the continued entertainment (and informative) content
Maybe do a video on all the cool ideas your followers have for battlefield. You talked about it, but would be nice to elaborate on them and get your thoughts on those ideas as an experienced battlefield player. I know the video would be very different from your usually style, but personally I think it would be interesting.
We'll always be here for ya Jack, however long you're away! I watched your content warning video the other day and laughed the whole way through 😂 And that NVIDIA AI NPC tech sounds gamechanging! Think of what it can do for story experiences and immersion!
OMG, this stuff with the AI. I would LOVE mystery game where you can ask questions YOUR way, where it actually feels like YOU arethe detective. Would so so cool. Perhaps even make a VR version. I don't want it to be only VR, that's too limiting, way too few people have VR headsets. But, yeah. A mystery game like this would be awesome. And you can take this idea further with new genres for following titles. Historical ones that are set in previous time periods and eras, and maybe a thriller where there's actually a looming threat of a killer. The potential is so great!
The likely reason those cables are not underground is because underground cables are more expensive to set up initially (setting up the ducts, getting permits to dig under private property, etc.) and the private corporation that runs your internet doesn't want to shoulder those short-term costs, even though underground cables are more reliable and probably cheaper to maintain in the long run. Thank the Thatcherites for privatizing BT in 1984.
Just to clarify the lack of underground cables, its less that its illegal in some places and more that it is just cheaper to put up a telegraph pole than dig a trench, often across someone elses land. A village local to me all banded together to pay for their cables to be buried instead of hung on telegraph poles.
Been playing the EVE Vanguard playtests, checking out how a modern EVE FPS plays and what ideas they have, actually pretty cool so far, very early days though, but neat to see them getting feedback so early. Think the next playtest is in 4 days!
I'm in Vancouver and that happened to me this year twice in the same month by 2 different storms. It also happened during my Vancouver Canucks Game Days so I got to miss those hockey games AND had no power/internet for 12 hours each day. As soon as i lose internet I'm like a fish outta water. I would never survive the Apocalypse :P
One of the old rainbow 6 games had microphone commands for ai. Like stack a door, set a charge. Follow hold. I forget which one but it was on original xbox
It's all good if you're out due to real bonkers stuff Jack. Hope it is all back to 'normal' for you there mate. That AI stuff is pretty crazy, I must say. Hopefully we get some devs that can harness it and make some great games and interactions with it.
I’d love to see that AI chat tech used in a new Bladerunner game. The Westwood game from the 90’s was a masterpiece in my opinion, and Voight-Kampfing AI NPC’s could be great with an emergent narrative system that changes every time you play it.
I'd be surprised if that were the case, considering there was no actual combat in the UK other than air raids. There were almost assuredly bombs dropped that turned out to be duds, but I have to imagine those would have all been secured in the years following the end of the war.
They're still finding unexploded bombs every now and then. It's rare but they're definitely still about. A 500kg one was found in Plymouth recently, for example. (Probably nothing to do with the cables though)
I assume it has something to do with the composition of the ground. Like if too much digging is done it becomes unstable because of the softness of it or something
Going underground is also considerably more expensive, especially in areas that have pre-existing infrastructure. It comes down to a basic formula, the cost of relocating - A, the cost of maintenance & upkeep of existing - B. If A is more expensive than B, lines will not be relocated. This isn't always the case, there are extenuating circumstances, just generally speaking.
The way you said the internet cables are attached to a telegraph pole, and showed a picture. I hope some people think we still use telegraphic communication in the uk 😂😂😂 like morse code 😂😂😂
Hey Jack, glad u r good. Now that this bf is over, i think it's a good idea to review what guns are the best for certain environments, close, mid, and large range, same with vehicles Thanks for reading
I would love to see more Hell Let Loose game play from you jack, the game honestly really showcases your gun play and not to mention the tactical nature of the game.
I love Fallout 4. Fallout is one of my favorite franchises and I'm so happy the TV show was a success and is giving people the itch to play the games again
Something I would like to see is for you to revisit Generation Zero, it’s has received a lot of new content since you last played. I currently have over +1600 hours invested into that game and I still enjoy it to this day.
hopefully no one get serisously injured! tbf, i actually would love to live somewhere where its not that popular^^ i dont get a lot of phone calls or i actually dont need that much internet so maybe in the future i am gonna move to somewhere peace and quiet too ^^
Bro I remember that storm it was pretty bad but I’m from Kent and I don’t think I was as effected by it but it was still all the high winds and branches falling here and there
I'm here in America and if I lose internet I can't make a call whatsoever and I live in city limits and my city is just outside a major city. If I walk to the main road perfect signal. The sad part is I'm only about 150 meters from the main road. What's worse is I live in a fully developed subdivision
It would be so cool if you made a video about how the next bf game should be marketed, like that video you did about bf3 a few years back now. I think it was called bf3, a marketing masterpiece or something.
im 41 and I dream of this since im 10 yrs old. The AI stuff and virtual reality better than what we have now! we are getting there!! But I'm getting older and I'll miss the best stuff :(
Not new. But new to me, I finally tried Hell let loose and died way too much, map too confusing but it had potential, tried War of Rights next, interesting civil war game, just made me itch for a scoped rifle. But been having fun using king kongs super punch finisher in ME3 with the soul render Sword too
I'd love to see you dive into Tarkov, give it 1 day a week to grind out an understanding of the maps and weapons, then go Ham on everyone creeping around bushes ;D
Hey Jack. Make a videos discussing the top rated Battlefield ideas from the last video. I would be interesting to hear what other fellow OG battlefield fans would like to see in the new game.
