Valerie, you took a complete mess and created a workable clean kitchen while not using cabinets. I love how you plan to continue to make nice meals for the family. Valerie, 45:42 I have the same stove at home as you do. You're already making that place a HOME. The kitchen looks GREAT!!! A tip, while using your wet mop pads once, you can always flip them over and use the other side too. I think that's what they're meant for instead of throwing one away every time you just one side. I love your videos. I love your family. I can't wait to see what you do with this place. You're such a inspiration to us all!!!PS .. If I had a million dollars y'all would be the first person I'd share it with besides our family.

Valerie You Did Amazing Job In The Kitchen, With What You Had On Hand.

You could use the roaster pans as food/water bowls for your animals. The snack area reminds me of when my girls were young fighting over who got more of what and sharing with their friends. I bought a bin for each and put in their favorite treats and put a date on the outside to when I would resupplying their trove. They could eat and share all they wanted, but they wouldn't get a stock replenish until said date. Commend you guys for living through rehab times. 💖💖🎶🎶

All I have to say is I hope you know how amazing you are. You have a real talent when it comes to cleaning and organizing. Just a phenomenal job! 😁

Kudos for that temporary kitchen setup! Anybody should be able to function in that kitchen for a period of time. Max was an excellent supervisor and Willow was just hanging around for cuteness. Enjoy that ☕! You deserve it!!

Valerie, you made it functional -- so who cares if it's not pretty. Lots of work and you did a great job. I don't envy you a bit. It's so much work but looks like a great piece with loads of potential. The kitchen will be wonderful once Tim can work his magic. I suggest a single large sink farm sink with no dividers, cause it's so much easier to wash pots and pans and big pieces. You definitely need an island and have room for it. Now that is some skill… some people have trouble organizing WITH a pantry and cabinets. You have done an amazing job without either one 😮 Also, I love your coffee mug❤ I need one of those to gift to my sister ❤

U did wonderful today. Ty for sharing. U could use the extra broiler pans as flower pots just drill some holes n the bottom or use rocks on the bottom for drainage. U took a sows ear and made u a operational kitchen. Loved the music.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this before, but rather than double-stack your shelving in your kitchen, how about putting the two shelving units into an "L" shape in that same area, or putting one shelving unit on the other side of the door (since the door swings into the other room)? Also, if you took down those upper cabinets, you could get some smaller-depth shelves to stand or hang (temporarily) over the countertops. That would give you more storage. You're doing a great job of making the best of a less-than-ideal situation, Valerie. I know what it's like to live in a home while remodeling. Not an easy thing to do.

Valerie,if you have some old cloths, cut them the size of the swiffer pads and they can be washed over and over again. It’ll save so much on having to by refills for the mop. ❤️ I really like the kitchen set up. Great job!

What about moving one of the black shelves to the other wall, opposite. That way you don’t have to move so many items to get what you want. Can’t wait to seek the kitchen fully restored!

I was thinking about your excess roasting pans- you could currently use them under your sink as trays to hold your stuff that you don’t want touching the old cupboards. Your new home will be wonderful once you put your stamp on it. It looks like a large kitchen. You did a great job organizing it for now. My husband and I have had several "project" homes to beautify. We live in a doublewide mobile home 1973. Thank the Lord that we completely remodeled it 10 years ago. Now we are older and not able to do all that. The only thing we still have left to do is new windows. I really love your kitchen window.

I don't usually comment on videos (i just started to like comments if that paints a clearer pic lol), but this was really inspiring for me personally just half way in with getting myself together within my older house too. It's only me and my dad, but it's been a little too easy to feel small with each other for the things we used to love in ourselves. Life is draining, but seeing a video like this helped me feel just outside of my sorrow enough to appreciate what's important. Which is getting myself together in the name of love, rest, and within my own time. And even though the video helped me clean a lot through watching another person's take, your outlook in the whole video and the little tidbits you mentioned is ultimately what compelled me to write this and feel okay with that and more, even if no one cares or reads this, I do so thank you sm. c:

Valerie you do a great job getting things looking great. I just want to give you a great tip in cleaning and sanitizing. Two cap full of bleach in the in the water for mopping would make it even cleaner. And the house will smell cleaner too. Best of luck to you. Just some friendly advice

I saw a video on how to make a chicken coup. Also, there's these gate panel things from a store called Tractor Supply that another RU-vidr I love watching, used to make a chicken run. Those panels even come in door form, and you can get gate panels to make roofs so the chickens are safe from predators. These panels make it so you can make the chicken run any size and shape you want, which is super cool in my book. Maybe that'll help? These panels are usually used for dog kennels but they are pretty sturdy from the looks of it.

Woohoo! Look at you go Val! You did it and it turned out great! I can't wait to see how this all comes together. I'm in limbo at the present. We just closed on the sale of our home we lived in for the last 3 years...we never sold our previous home...planning on renovating and updating it...then selling or renting it out..but that didn't happen...life happened and we ended up dealing with a cancer diagnosis as well as unexpected open heart surgery...both for my husband..so the house just sat there. Now that he's cancer free and running like a new car...we started on the renovation of the old so we can sell it...while we look for a forever home closer to grand babies and with some land to homestead. In the meantime...we're moving into a small rental with most of our things in storage so I'm really enjoying watching your journey and getting ideas and tips for temporary living. Have a wonderful, well deserved trip...and I hope you can talk hubby into the chicken coop 🐔🐔🐔! I definitely want chickens and will be watching and taking it all in . God Bless
