I'm so glad you decided to do this! I can tell your reactions are going to be awesome. Another thing to consider is that Ren was misdiagnosed for years; being told your illness is just all in your head when you know there is a physical cause is beyond frustrating. I think the pig, who is usually dressed like a butcher, could represent the medical community and how they "butchered" his diagnosis and treatment. Subbed for more Ren!

Awesome first reaction Ian! A few things I want to touch on....The volume level of the video seemed low (could just be me), be careful how often you pause because some people, (unlike me who actually enjoy the pauses and breakdowns), get pissy about that kind of thing, and last, definitely push your own music more before/after each video because you young man, are a pretty dope rapper yourself! Ren has Lyme disease and got misdiagnosed with depression/chronic fatigue syndrome for many years. The whole "your mind is making you sick" was basically what he was told by doctors and nurses in the system - "It's all in your head", while the actual Lyme disease was making him more and more sick.

I'm so sorry for your families loss. Losing a sibling so young must have been very hard. For me as a mother though the thought of losing a child is beyond soul crushing. I'm pretty sure Ren has never flat out said what the Pig means.He is an artist afterall and likes to kerp us guessing. We do know Ren is a big fan of George Orwell's, Animal Farm. So my theory is the pig is a combination of either Snowball & Napoleon with a dash of some side effects and aftermath of gaining too much power/greed. Ren is extremely intelligent so i dont think the Pig is meant to represent 1 thing. No way its that simplistic. Ifeel like Mr. PIG is meant to reference multiple complex symbols dependent on when/where he appears. 🐷🐷. Could be wrong though. 😅

A lot of doctors will blame your mind on being sick if they can't figure out what is going on with you. I experienced it over and over when i was trying to find out why i was so sick. It took about a year and a half for a doctor to actually listen to me. I now have four diagnosed conditions that are very much not from my brain but from my immune system. I agree that your mental health plays a big role and can make things worse or better. I just feel like Ren was pointing out how Doctor's will just blame it on your mental health.
