What ever your religious or cultural beliefs this journey that you are thankfully sharing with us has been amazing. I have not only learnt a lot from your vlogs, but it has warmed my heart the welcome you have received and help you have been given. It’s interesting that you are picked up on via comments on fine detail and the amount of human kindness you have seen is ignored or not commented on. Let us all take a moment to be kind, and welcoming to all that we come into contact with. Thank you again, I am loving this journey you are on x
Once again thank you for showing the spiritual part of India. Traditionally you chant Shiva chants all night and fast during the night. It is wonderful seeing so many people together in celebration.
Celeste yes.... I also Love how Liam and Janine show us the spiritual side of India. I did 3 years of solo travel vlogging in India and the depth of spirituality was the BEST part ever for me. I celebrated SHIVRATRI in Gokarna twice!!!! They pulled the Shiva cart down the street amongst crowds. It was the best thing that I have ever seen in my life. I will go back to India, perhaps later this year India was challenging for me on every level but it is as equally exciting as it was challenging and I grew so much whilst in India. ❤️
MahaShivratri is not the birthday of Shiva :) It is the festival commemorating the wedding of Shiva and Parvathi. Shiva was never born, he was always there before anything appeared.
We heard many different reasons, the wedding being one later in the night. But if you Google they say its shiva birthday...which is what we understood at the start...but later we learnt more. This is why traveling is so good, it deepens your knowledge
Shivaram I agree. I am from England and I have travelled to many countries. My most recent travel stint was a 3 year solo vlogging trip in India. And yes...... Such variety of culture is only possible in India. I don't think can travel anywhere else anymore because India is perfect for me 😆🇮🇳
Wow ,I really need to go to this festival it looks amazing , your travels in India have made me want to visit it even more now than I did before, my friend who I lost a couple of years ago spent a long time travelling overland to India for years it was like he's second home and I would have loved to have gone but my circumstances were different then and I couldn't go but watching your videos has certainly encouraged me to do it now at the age of 72 they say better late than never .Thank you for encouraging me to go for it.x❤
That guru is amazing, I watched some videos of him over the last few month's and he just blows my mind. That whole festival looked amazing...you are so lucky to be there. I'm really enjoying your videos, though I'm new to your channel. You both have been inspirational to me in that for the last 2 weeks I'm trying plant based food...and what an awesome experience its been. Really tasty food that I'd never thought of trying before. Thank you both..and keep going. Love it
@@triciamcquillan8011 yeah its desperately needed we are occupying the space of other beings on this planet forested land is reducing the resources are being overused
i love watching these lovely sweet folks travelling , but as i mentioned Sadguru isint who he claims to be and is no friend of humanity. We are in a spiritual battle and as long as we remain truthful to mother earth and The Most High Creator of all with the magnetic connection in our heart, we can over come this invasion of demonic beings. Much love Archana Singh. @@archanasingh3806
Nothing goes to waste Janine, the clothes & accessories that you didn’t get to wear will always be a beautiful memory entwined in the amazing journey you are on 💕 Also any Indian festival is amazing to be a part of 🥳
I agree Tracy. They may get invited to a wedding on their travels or something so the clothes will come in handy. I was constantly getting invited to weddings when I travelled in India 😆
The no oil no boil chef is very innovative, he runs a skills training that teaches organic and heat-less cooking. Recently, he was feted for his world record of completing 300 no oil no boil dishes in record time😊
You both are very fortunate to have stayed up all night. I admire your devotion and respect to Shiva. There is saying that one wouldn't think of Shiva without his grace. That way, you both were blessed. Thank you for great editing and screenplay.
Wow! what an amazing experience! I subscribed to your channel years ago for the van life and vegan content, I have to say that this travel series in India is my favourite set of vlogs you've done to date. I look forward to each and every video coming out. I love all the kindness that you've given and received and that no matter what happens you always keep going and find a solution to every challenge you face. Love it ❤
Wow absolutely fascinating and wonderful!! Shame you didn't get to wear your outfits , but I'm sure you will wear them at some point on your travels . Stay safe guys and thank you for bringing such colour and joy to our still grey days at home!
I spent 4 months in India, Kashmir and Nepal in 1985/6. I had such a monumentally different experience to the one you are having, it takes my breath away. I can't begin to image what it is like to have so much information about where to go and what to do. And everything looks so clean and modern! I have had my heart in my mouth over some of your exploits, and relieved that you are still in one piece, and having such a wonderful time. Absolutely amazing!
India has indeed transformed a lot over the last 3 decades since opening up (liberalisation and less state controls) in 1991. Foreign direct investment, huge opportunities for growth at a high growth rate of 7-10% are the norm for the last 2 decades, along with great improvements in income, health indicators and living standards. Many Indian firms have become Multinationals themselves with strategic assets across the world. For eg, India is the world leader in digital transactions, paying from phone, third largest producer of automobiles, biggest exporter of softwares, auto-components and pharmaceuticals.
@@akhilnandhramesh6029 Thank you for all this information. I think most people in the UK are well aware of India's blossoming IT industry, although probably not the very interesting tech stats you have provided. I think for me, looking at these wonderful vlogs, it is like when you see a family after an absence over, in this case 38 years. You know it's going to be different, but it still is hard to get your head around the magnitude of the change. Great to chat - thank you. And many thanks to the intrepid (or crazy😁) Janine and Liam that facilitates all this
@@curleycale8274 indeed. I can only imagine how you feel seeing the country after 38 years. the country is always fast changing at a frantic place. This amazes even the Indian diaspora and non resident Indians who live in other countries, work and have settled down there, but visit india for their family, friends and also for the sake of their roots. Even a 5 year absence can make one feel there has been a lot of development and transformation happening. Yes, we do get Indian news overseas, but it’s difficult to fathom unless we see it- For eg, more electric vehicles on road, metro rail, More apartments and skyscrapers etc, more companies and special economic zones popping up, more mechanisation In agriculture. Each time a diaspora Indian goes back they will be surprised too! On that note, do check out the skyline of mumbai, it’s something that’s constantly changing (taller) and ever amazing.
Wow! Liam and Janine, what a fabulous experience. It's my dream to go to ISHA for Shivrathri. I'm so glad that you were able to enjoy the chaos and celebrations of this wonderful event. Extra prayers on both your behalf, to make your incredible journey less dangerous with dear Pete! I've come to adore him, you know! Can't wait to see you next week.
You both are such an amazing couple. So tolerant to everything and remain very positive. You soak up so much knowledge and information about everything quickly. Your enthusiasm is tireless.
Ah I was watching the live stream on RU-vid, such an amazing experience for you both to be there. I’m sure you will get another opportunity to get dressed up in your new threads. Thanks for sharing your journeys with us all, hope Pete behaves for ya 🙏🏻🌼🌸✨
The festival looked fabulous. Thanks for sharing it with us. I hope you are all rested and feeling okay after the mountain tribulations. Stay safe and happy travels xx
Shiva is the most gentlest in strongest of ways. He is with you even when you're not with him. He is constant reminder that one day you will be in him. He is Deat*h personified.
I hope some TV people see what you guys are upto. You deserve a proper TV show, wether it be on terestial TV or Amazon etc. Not everyone is suited to TV, but you are. All the best from the East Riding of Yorkshire 😊
Wow, that just gave me the most spiritual vibe ever! How absolutely amazing that you got to experience that. You really make me feel like I will have to make several journeys to India to really get to see as much as possible.
Thanks for all the effort you put into sharing your fantastically brilliant travels in India. The festival looked great, happy you made it there. Hope your continuing journey is less stressful with Pete but just as exciting. See you next time. Very lovely couple. 🙏👌✌️
Shiva is the one who created spirituality, yoga, tantra, meditation- quite different to what West perceive them. the most important being in Indian history. no one knew his actual name. he was given 108 names each depicting his various aspects. the name Shiva means that which is not.
Archana yes SHIVRATRI was truly grand in this vlog. I LOVE how well Liam and Janine captured it ❤️👌🇮🇳 During my 3 year solo travel vlogging stint in India I celebrated SHIVRATRI twice. Both times in Gokarna where they pull the Shiva cart down the road. Spectators threw bananas and flowers at the cart whilst live music was playing. It was the BEST experience of my life ❤️
We have just moved from India to UK to explore UK and Europe but your videos make us feel to miss more of my motherland. You guys are doing an amazing job. I cant wait to see the upcoming videos but please safe travel is important.
That was so interesting and enlightening.I also liked the words on the side of the carrier bag at 09.43 which says "There is no planet B".We really do have to take care of this planet.
Hello Liam and Janine, great video, what a wonderful contrast to the issues you had with poor old Pete. I'm glad you both had the chance to enjoy one of your dreams at this lovely event. Well done Janine for staying awake, take care safe travels.
Absolutely fascinating guys! What an outstanding atmosphere! Gonna have to do abit more research into this gentleman and festival. Thankyou for this and happy travels.
Holy Freakin Dragon yes this vlog by Liam and Janine was TRULY FASCINATING 👌 I LOVE their vlogs so much. I also love Sadhguru. He is my favourite philosopher ❤️ I did do 3 years so solo travel vlogging in India and I celebrated SHIVRATRI in Gokarna which is not too far away from Goa. In Gokarna they pulled the Shiva cart down the street amongst crowds of people playing music. It was the BEST thing that I ever saw in my entire life. 👌❤️
It reminds me a little of a strawberry festival in Cyprus a few years ago we stumbled across and was welcomed by all the Cypriots and it was an amazing experience, no trouble and food and drink with entertainment and lots of free strawberries served in various ways it was amazing to be welcomed in to their community
Yes they have a good and appreciative attitude, Janine especially. Overall, and attitude is everything. She suited pink ! And Really a lot of people on U tube are so show off and self assured of themselves, which makes them tendentious. Stay appreciative you two !
Lute what a collision. Similar to u I love Those Happy Days and also Sadhguru. I discovered Sadhguru's videos during my 3 year solo travel vlogging stint through India. The depth of spirituality in India was my favourite part of the journey 👌
@@travellingyoginikas oh cool! Yeah I’ve wanted to visit India for a while because of the spirituality. I found sadhguru a few years back when I was going through dark times. Was listening to a lot of Eckhart Tolle and Alan Watts, which lead to Krishnamurti and Sadhguru 🙏☺️ they’ve all helped me sort out a lot, very grateful.
@@lute1986 yes I like how Sadhguru shares his philosophy in order to help us obtain wellness in the mind. During my travels in India I spoke alot about spirituality and wellness. For example, the inner power of goddess Parvati who enables is to cultivate our inner power, the theory of Shiva god who represents breaking us before making us and the theory of Ganesh god who removes our obstacles. I showed it all on my RU-vid channel during my temple visits in india. You are welcome to watch my videos if you wish ❤️
Another amazing trip and video guys. It's going to get really hot this year from the climate readers! lol, yes, that's India.. it never lets you prepare and forces you to face it head-on! Still, I wish I could see you guys in the new dress. But I don't believe it's shiva's birthday. I think according to different sects this is celebrated as a day of celebration for Shiva marrying Parvati, or the flow of Ganga from the milky way through his dreads to earth, or Shiva saved the universe from the churning of the great ocean in the universe which spewed poison. Shiva saved the universe by drinking its poison and storing it in his throat that you see in the light show or something like that.
@@ThoseHappyDays Shivaratri on steroids! I never went but know people who have been. It's every 12 years but i seem to remember there's mini one's in between.
Wow, Brilliant, Fantastic, Amazing, I don't know what else to say. I am a musician that plays a lot of big festivals in the uk, but nothing like that, would love to see this, take care guys.
Deb it sure was AMAZING wasn't it. I'm loving Liam and Janines travel vlogs. I did 3 years of solo travel vlogging in India and watching Those Happy Days brings back memories 😆❤️
You radiate a very good energy both of you...I miss India I'd like to go back some day I have travelled a lot ...but I really enjoy holidaying with my good pal ...my dog..
In India many Hindu, Sikh, jain... temples have facilates to serves free food and health care like dialysis, cancer treatments, eye operation, blood donation etc by their community people without paying any type of charge. And any community not descriminate any religion and foreigners so if you need then you also visit India 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏I love my India ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks God to give my birth in India 🙏🙏. You foreigners probably don't know how indian people are cooperative each other for example - If unfortunately burning someone house by any mistakes then before arrival of fire extinguisher we all arrive their house to take some bucket 🪣, water pumping machine etc and extinguished fire. In merriage ceremony we invite all family and their relatives and all local (villagers) people around 1-2 kilometres distance and respect or welcome them then serves many types of food and interestingly that food is made by villagers people without any charge and it is very delicious food and during serving food many local people and relatives which comes in merriage ceremony helps in some work by their ability and around one thousand people participate in merriage ceremony and enjoy it ❤️❤️❤️ this is only two examples which I say and like this many more examples are here we cannot explain it in comments . In India around 3-4 kilometres distance, people know eachother and also their family.
Pauline. Yup..... An other WONDERFUL video by Liam and Janine ❤️ I think SHIVRATRI is DEFFO the best experience for them and for me 😆 I was solo travel vlogging in Gokarna Karnatica (south India) during 2021 SHIVRATRI fest and also 2022 SHIVRATRI fest The Shiva cart was pulled down the street with lots of live music playing in the crowds. It was the BEST thing I have ever experienced in my life ❤️
Hola👋 from southern New Mexico🌵🌶️...Wow! Love your new clothes hope you can wear them to another event or just.going out. So very interesting. Thanks for sharing. 💖 Much love sent.💫🙏
Lynby yes I think Liam is hyperactive. It's DEFFO a good trait. And it makes for a v good vlogger ❤️ I did 3 years of solo travel vlogging in India. I have ADHD and the condition definitely helps me to vlog and get the videos edited in time for release!!!! 😆

Lovely to see that you had wonderful time at Mahashivratri ..My Inner Engineering initiation was the most amazing and transformational experience I have had and I can only be grateful for all that Sadhguru and Isha volunteers do !
Thank you both for such an enlightening 'trip' around India, loving every moment of your adventures - stay safe and who knows maybe you'll get to wear your new 'outfits' for real at some random place further on. xx
Bob yes I agree. Perhaps Liam and Janine will get invited to a wedding or something so they can save the outfits for then. When I did my 3 year solo travel stint around India I got invited to a fair few weddings long the way 😆
What an INCREDIBLY PROFESSIONAL video. I'm deffo off to Sadhguru's ashram now after seeing this vlog. ❤️ Omg Liam ya had me in stitches when ya said that ya going to wear a birthday suit 😆 and it was hilarious to see the volunteers having a nap in your rickshaw hahahaha 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 A very happy SHIVRATRI to you both ❤️
Good evening, beautiful people. That's more like it, after the last stressful episode. By the looks of it, it makes the Stones at Glastonbury seem like a local pub gig by comparison!! You guys seemed to have soaked up the atmosphere completely. Good for you two. Onward and upward, well, not literally upwards again. 🤗
I have no words to thank you enough for these vlogs truly, you have instilled so many great memories of India and the magical spirits of these people …Saddguru I’ve been following also for a long time, he is magical Thank you guys …your grandad Liam will be absolutely loving your adventure with your legacy 🙏🏻❤️
Hi guys enjoying your journey! However, coming from the Highlands of Scotland I KNOW that persistently driving small light vehicles up hills and down dales for which they were not designed can result not only in frequent breakdowns but damage beyond repair. If there are things you really want to see in the mountains, give wee Pete a break and hire a heavier engined vehicle for this part of your journey. Cheers.
The raw Indian cuisine have not tried yet Looked delicious. Indian music itself is intoxicating & spiritual. There was a moment when Liam is talking on the way to the seating was a bit of the old Chinese movies - mouth talking & sound out of sync 🙏
I enjoy watching your videos, they are wonderful. India is a massive country. It is not even a country it is a continent just like Europe. Each state in India is a country like in Europe, the languages are different, and the cultures are different. You will have a fascinating trip visiting all those regions in India.
@@sonic.garden explain to me how the culture of North East states and culture of Kerala, Lakshadweep islands are similar and different. I did say there are some common elements but it's certainly not just about traditions which are same. Saying culture is similar is ignorance of cultural diversity of country. For one thing what does culture constitutes of ? Language plays critical role ..them traditions, foods etc... traditions are only part of culture. All these differ across India.
Oh, just finished watching, what an amazing video x I'm gutted you didn't get to wear your new togs, but I'm sure something will come up where you will need to dress up, and I'm thousand % sure of that x The show looked amazing. 🙏 glad you're both ok and cracking on with this Indian Tour ❤️ I'm loving it and loving your love of life x you have become part of my week, im living vicariously through you 😊. Look into the Sri Sri Radha Krishna temples in India. Other wise known as the Hare Krishna temples. They have a lot of temples in India. I don’t know where you are traveling to so I can’t tell you where they are . I live in Michigan.. please try and go there.
