The Village wide garage sale days this year were June 7th and 8th. Lansing residents were able to sell unwanted items and connect with other people in the community.
Residents who registered for this event did not have to pay for a garage sale permit. All other garage sales that take place in Lansing must have a permit that can be obtained at the Municipal Center.
On June 11th, NPAA, the Lansing Garden Club, and the Village all teamed up to plant milkweed seeds to help monarch butterflies.
NPAA offered to have part of their property used as a place for milkweed seeds to be planted. Monarch butterflies are endangered and need food as they migrate. These milkweed plants will be directly in their migration path and will help keep more monarchs alive as they travel.
