The 2022 MLB Trade Deadline will mostly be known for one thing: The Padres going all-in. With the names and starpower they brought to the table, there will be no excuses for them moving forward. To add the likes of Juan Soto and Josh Hader to your arsenal defines how a team will be seen by the rest of the league. It's a marvelous day if you are from San Diego.
However, that doesn't mean that there aren't other stories to tell from this deadline. All thirty teams have different goals, dreams and aspirations to fulfill, even if it's just getting people to come to the ballpark. So for the good and the bad, this video will go over it all.
Unless you're Colorado. Then you're just useless.

It's the reason why he got all young pitching during the draft, AJ is a really super good scout, he's the reason why he chose fernando Jr, because he saw potential in him. If you ever need a Japanese randy Johnson or a Jamaican babe Ruth 2.0, AJ preller is your guy. Beside, our febelopmen development is ass at SD but our scouting is just too good for this organization.

You know the Tigers rebuild is over because Chris “I thank God everyday for nepotism” Ilitch said it is. Ignore the injuries, the failed attempts at what can only be loosely claimed to be offense, and the wasting of a rather good bullpen, I didn’t draft another pitcher early and didn’t get completely ripped off at the deadline, this time. I actually like the moves St. Louis made this deadline. The pitching should be a lot more stable now, which takes pressure off of Goldy and Arenado to carry the offense. I think the only reason STL traded Bader was because they weren't expecting his plantar faciatis to really improve much. That trade still really hurts though, not just because of his ability in the outfield and on the base paths, but he was also a fan favorite and brought a ton of energy to the team. Carlson is showing strong gold glove potential too, but he's still got a ways to go to reach Bader's level.
@GaIeforce
@GaIeforce 2 года назад
Thank you for perfectly summing up the feeling of Marlins fans on the Trade Deadline. Complete and utter apathy. They traded for a guy with a declining prospect stock, and failed to sell high on Pablo Lopez and Garrett Cooper. Garrett Cooper's trade value isn't going to get any higher than it is now, and they wasted that opportunity. As for Pablo Lopez, this was the best time to get value out of him. They weren't going to compete next year with this lineup, and with Max Meyer going under the knife. Just like they always do in with runners in scoring position all season long, they choked at the deadline. Why is it so painful to be a Marlins fan?
@brownsfan6447
@brownsfan6447 2 года назад
As a guardians fan I was upset at first for the lack of movement at the deadline. After hearing the front office speak on it, it makes more sense. This is a young team that isn’t supposed to be contending, so trading away the farm to make a push now doesn’t make sense. Additionally, the team is playing really really well together and they themselves didn’t want to break up that chemistry. Plesac and Rosario held value at the deadline but to trade away Rosario for a catcher adds no value to their lineup at this moment and risks blowing up what they’ve built to this point. And what they’ve built is special. At the time of the deadline, this young team of unproven players is 5th best in the entire league against winning teams and continues to get better and prove more people wrong week by week.

In a vacuum the Giants deadline was bad. But as a fan, it’s mind boggling and infuriating. Mixing around the edge of the lineup making team chemistry nearly impossible, as well as selling off injury projects and fan favorite Darin Ruf. They didn’t buy, didn’t sell, didn’t even do nothing, which could be understandable because the current core would sell tickets. But instead they’ve managed to alienate everyone, by not committing to anything. It’s kinda like Farhan knows what the issues are but can’t or won’t address it.

Also, Kirk Gibson was a heck of a player. A Michigan State Spartan before joining the Tigers in ’79 and winning the ’84 World Series with them. It was sad to see him leave Detroit after they had been on the cusp of yet another World Series appearance in ’87 before ultimately falling to their then AL East and now AL Central arch-rivals, the Minnesota Twins. I know he didn’t play much in the ’88 World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers, but that home run he hit in his one at bat in game 1 makes me wonder and melancholy to think of what could have been had he stayed with Detroit.

If it were me, of course I would have posted another iconic call...Game 6. What makes it great is that for 3 minutes and 24 seconds after "here comes Knight and the Mets win it" Scully didn't say a word...just letting the Shea bedlam and Sox misery tell the story. Then "if one picture is worth a thousand words, you have seen about a million words". Perfection.

Looking back at Vin Scully, this is truly the end of dodgers past. He’s the last thing lasting of when the dodgers were still in Brooklyn, and he moved with the team to LA. He’s made iconic calls, and has seen many legends of the game over the decades. Calling games till he was 86 years of age, that’s something special to think he can still get up to go to work into his 80’s. May he now have the second best view of dodgers games, second only to the view he had when he would call dodger games.
