@@wrench9103sad reality. But imma be playing today and thats very different. Nah i feel you tho and i love baseball. Whats worse how boring or the people. Im from cali and whenever i go to a game out here its just filled with shit in the stands. People with no common courtesy if yk what i mean. Its hard being a midwestern in the west🤣💯
He had been doing nothing in the batters box the whole game and then steps up and does that!! Crazy mental toughness and positivity! Bro is going to go far!!!
@Alan Leuthard not really. It's a BIG moment. You can't walk it off in the top of the inning, dummy. If you notice, the fielding team stays on the field.
I was lucky enough to get the chance to do this in high school and it's one of my fondest memories for sure; anyone who plays the sport knows this feeling is unmatched to anything else and it's so beautiful to see he'll also be enjoying that for the rest of his life ❤
Depends. If he hit his spot and bro just smashed it, you have to tip your cap. Now if he missed and caught too much plate or hung one, then yeah he'll be thinking about it for a while
And there’s always two sides to this game. That kid on the mound is one of the finest young men I’ve ever known. So proud to have been his youth pastor and watch him - huge congratulations to Barbe and that young man… baseball is such a rewarding AND devastating game!
I don't know the pitcher, but I agree with your statement of "always two sides." My heart always goes out to the team that loses. Obviously, if it's the State Championship game, BOTH sides have worked hard and should be proud of their hard work and accomplishments. Having said that, what a story in his journey for that batter!
As a pitcher who gave up a walk-off walk in my town’s Little League championship game, I kind of know the feeling. I always tend to empathize with pitchers.
I know, I know, yep, yeah you too Okay we get it, yep, yeah you too I know I know, yep, yeah you too Okay, everybody meet Mr. Me Too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2kQt4VTU_kk.html
Yup, your on top of the world. I've made the defensive play to win a championship and hit the game winning shot its something you never forget and your teammates and opponents do too.
Mine was when I was 11, it wasn't for a state title, the stakes couldn't be higher, the kid on the opposing team wore Chicago cubs shoes, socks, shirt, chains, etc. everyday to school, if he lost he'd have to wear a Sox jersey, if we lost my friend would wear cubs, some peoplemay say "big whoop" but if you'refrom Chicago or a true fan, you understand what was on the line (it's not a bet I'd personally ever take). Word abt the "bet" spread around the school like wild fire and when our teams finally met we were shocked that All of our teachers showed up to the game, along with practically every other guy in school that played baseball. Anyway, bottom of seventh, down 2, man on 1st and 2nd, 1-0 count and I crushed on to left-center, tbh I thought it was out (even though we were playing on HS field) it hit top of wall and I got a bases clearing double, Tie game! I stole 3rd, then stole home to win, and to make it sweeter, the kid who lost the bet was the catcher! Next day at school everyone (including teachers) brought their cameras to capture a sight they'd never see again, Alex wearing a Sox jersey, everyone shamed him all day, but I respect him for following through.
That’s a moment that kid and every player on that team will remember til the day they die. Absolutely insane. Congrats to them. Biggest play of his life.
This is my high school. They’ve been such a special team and program, they ended up winning that game 10-4 and won their 9th state since 2006 and their 12th in history and their 3rd in the last 5 years. 🎉
There's a time for celebration, and that was it!❤ Beautiful! The pride, the comradary, the culmination of so many hours of work. Just beautiful. This feeling is what Sport is for.
The emotions of every single person in that stadium riding on the swing of one young man. A truly special moment. I hope they held out in the bottom half. I had the lone rbi and made a 2 out sliding catch in center field with bases loaded in bottom 10 of a 1-0 championship victory. I remember popping up seeing the closed fist of the ump and immediately falling to my knees. Completely engulfed in bliss. Within seconds i was at the bottom of the scrum. These moments stay with us forever. They humble us, they remind us of the sacrifice needed to obtain glory. The weight of the entire season. Every pitch, every swing, every play, every emotion. All leading up to one. Final. Moment. Today, ill be reaching out to my brothers who shared that moment with me. Thank you for this👐😌
Every kids dream, I've been blessed enough to get the winning hit and or run several times. When your young you appreciate it, but not like you do later in life. This literally gave me tears of joy and pride. I hope he handled it with humility and dignity. Great job kid, way to make your team and parents proud
Chills? Not if you’re the one who threw the pitch. But for the batter, it’s literally a dream come true. Kudos to this dude for his clutch hit which will probably be something he’ll be telling his grandchildren about some day. Talk about making memories. A great memory for the batter, a sour memory for the pitcher.
Barbe has got to be single handedly the best high school baseball program in the country, it’s insane how many of their players go to the MLB and they play for a State Championship every year almost
I hope this gets 20 million+ views. This doesn't happen every day. PLUS, it was the state championship finals. Bro is definitely going to the show. This is what baseball is about!!!!!! Bro literally made the last play of the game at second base too! Go check it out. Insane!!
And that's why baseball is the most intelligent and skillful game. Feelings like know other. Congrats. Been there, and gts me choked up. Hell ya letss goooooo!!!!!!
Look up Dennis Dudgeon wins state finals Miller farms article with me hitting in semi and finals 3 run homer and grand slam and pitching striking out 5 to 7 in 4 innings each game.
Mann what I’d do to go back and play, not just play; but play HIGH SCHOOL Baseball. I tear up watching these videos, seeing old teammates, truly a memory/ time of life I’ll never forget. To any students watching this, please, PLEASE cherish high school sports. Treat your teammates like brothers, appreciate your coach as another father, you will never get those 4 years back. If I knew how important those years were id give up my game, phone, anything I could to get those 4 years back. Enjoy it while you have it! Something Varsity Baseball truly taught me. #Knights18’
@Poalo Guano please tell me how it's possible to hit a walk off in the TOP of an inning. IDIOT. The pitchers team came back to win the game in the BOTTOM of the 7th.
@@poaloguano5388I dont think it was a walkoff.. they said top of the 7th.. unless it was an error by the video creator, people acted like it was a walloff tho
It never gets old man seriously I’m old now and those clutch homers and triples are still the best feeling seriously … Sunday ball ain’t like college and HS but it’s still ⚾️
Thee most beautiful moments in American Sports a athlete can have. No matter what level of baseball. I'm happy i got to experience playing in a championship game and winning in little leauge. Take all the experiences I had playing ball and Im now sharing mine the future generations of ball players in hopes they get to feel like this team does here.
That’s what is so great about sports!! A final duel between a great pitcher and hitter. That young man will remember this game for the rest of his life and probably will think about this moment at least once a day and wish he can go back and relive it!!!! By the way the kid who hit the home run will as well!!!!!!!!!
Hope this kid cherishes that moment for the rest of his life. Many people have played out this scenario at least once & never have the opportunity to experience it. Hell of way to end the season, & for some, that may be their last time stepping on the field.
That Pitcher worked his but off to take his Team to the state Finals that in itself is Rewarding that pitcher took an L but hes still a Winner !! Congrats to Both Players!!💯💪🇺🇲♥️🙏🏼
I was one of those fortunate kids to have this experience. 12yo All-Star Game, down 6-3, on a 1-1 count. Grand Slam to dead center center field to win the game 7-6. It really is an awesome feeling.
Wow it really did… we won state championships 19 years ago for first time in school history and I tell you it’s a moment in life that will never be forgotten.
Congrats Kid...Way to Stay Focused!!! Gotta be the Greatest Feeling and Noone can EVER take that from you and your Squad!!! You Earned It! Tip of the Cap...😉👍🙏
You can feel everything that kid is feeling through watching this video. Watching him round 3rd and flexing so hard after hitting such an important bomb like that. Sheesh, that gave me Chills
I'm 68 years old. I used to play baseball when I was a little boy and I can still remember in the backyard throwing the ball to my friends out Out on the baseball field in the street and the called the sack dreaming and saying that I was the guy that gets to do. The walk off home run that gets to win the game. What a dream come true good for you and experience he will carry with him from the rest of his life
And people will say it's just a game. But they don't know all the time effort and work that went into it. His teammates and himself will never forget this.
